Am I alone in wanting ICS/CM9?

The Jelly Bean ROM's are great, but for me there's just too many bugs.
We have the ICS source now and I'd love a stable CM9 build. Unfortunately it looks like attn1 may have moved on, and all the other devs seem to be just working on JB.

Dude your not alone...count me in for that...if i knw step by step guide to at least to compile an AOSP kernel I would do it now

i ll waiting too but however stable cm9 or cm 10 doesnt exisit by now

Everyone is waiting for CM9 but we need a kernel to get everything working propably! Our devs are working on it but they have a life, too. Don't expect sb to do a one-man Jesus show here;D Be patient, we will get fully working CM9 when kernel boots up

It doesn't really matter much which ROM to make - ICS based or JB based CM. Because to make a proper and stable ROM, all you need is to make a stable AOSP\AOKP compatible kernel (and we still don't have one).
PS: AFAIK CM team wont add CM9 support for any more devices, i.e. if they will make a CM for our IncS it will be JB based CM10 and not CM9.

I thought that once we had sources, the kernel would be pretty easy, but then I don't know much about it. Who is working on the kernel?
I also thought that CM would only support a phone if source was available. Since we only have ICS source right now, that would rule out CM10 wouldn't it?

Many of the CM10 ROMs don't have manufacturer source for JB (only ICS) therefore it is safe to assume that our ICS kernel can be used with CM10.

If we want official support we need a maintainer
The maintainer for the 7x30 HTC devices like ours, dhd, desire s etc
Our maintainer, Kali- moved on to Sony devices iirc
If we ask nexx and nk111 (cm devs from desire s) nicely maybe they might build for us

I sent him a tweet some time ago after he bought S3 and I wrote something like this: "So you're not the maintainer for IncS anymore". And he replied "What makes you think that" . He still owns a vivo and a vivos.

That's good, hopefully he can compile CM10 soon and bring official support for CM9/10

Hello Everyone thats interesting in HTC Vivid or Dev of the nice phone , I have use a Custom Rom on my sensation 4G call ViperS_1.4.1
has anyone ever take a look at it to see if it could be port over to our vivid ?

You're going to have the same RIL issue with every Sense 4.x ROM atm...

Yeah I would think so , but i hope that since they have CM10 working that it may worked someway from that.

Question about gpu overclocking .

Hey guys can any one tell me if i can make my gpu performance better ? because when i launch some games like asphalt 7 the graphics are kind of crappy compared to other devices so i was wondering if any one can help me and tell me if i can make these graphics look better ?

Wrong section but GPU of on this device is a no go. We have been able to get better graphics in jb ROMs but not some that can be done as a user. Updated drivers gave some better results.

test temple run 2 on full grapichs, no lags at all when i tested it. try it yourself.

I'm very curious as to why none of these great devs on Sprint One forum has'nt build any Carbon roms yet? I've noticed that they're over in the international One forum building Carbon but not Sprint One. In case your interested here's the info link and downloads ect for the github and discussions on the nightly builds...https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/110719619509805969062 it's a really stable AOSP rom and worthy of a look and if you need a tester PM me and I'm yours for crash dummying

I haven't had any successful builds for the m7spr except 10.2 but I'll give it a try tonight.

Thanks man I just thought nobody liked the TeamCarbon rom and the Carbon devs on xda lol its a solid aosp rom with pretty nice features. I will test as many builds as you need to get it working for us

I run Carbon on the Nexus 7. I'm probably not going to give it up for Sense, but it's a terrific ROM.

I'm aware of their sprint variant its the 4.3 nightly that I'm speaking of, it has never booted for sprint HTC One users because they don't have the phone. Slimrom 4.3 works well in the meanwhile though

I saw the Goo. So, they compile and boot, but don't run without issue? That explains why no release.....Maybe I should hit up the creators and see what they say before trying this out on my own.

There is a build of Android 4.3 Carbon Rom for the Sprint Variant out there that supposively works fine. I've not tried it though. It's at another site and by a dev that is banned on XDA so I best not post links.

Anybody want to get a Logcat on a Carbon 4.3 ROM for me? I have built it 3 times and have a 'unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped' every time. It boots, but can't function because of this error. I have been unable to get a logcat up to now, because I haven't been home and it is an issue that starts right at boot, so a terminal logcat isn't possible. The link is here:
