1. I don't have my own computer.
2. i already do, but, it get nothing, my fault.
3. I Need help. really n urgent
I don't mind doing it for you but a couple of points.
a) That link is not working at the moment, it says temporary technical problem. Can you find another link or I'll see if its working later?
b) It take it you can't get the new ODIN3 v3.07 working, as you don't need to split the firmware with this?
c) If you don't have access to a computer how do you plan to flash the firmware? Just wondering.

No I think they should all change (PDA/Build Number Phone/Baseband Version and CSC). But they probably won't all be the same. For instance I recently flashed the file S5830iXXLK3_S5830iBTULK1_S5830iXXLK1_HOME.tar.md5 .
So now if I dial *#1234# I get:
PDA: S5830iXXLK3
PHONE: S5830iXXLK1
CSC: S5830iBTULK1
And in Settings > About Phone Build Number is GINGERBREAD.XXLK3 and Baseband Version is S5830iXXLK1.
But people call that firmware XXLK3 I think because they name the firmware by the PDA version, that's what I've always presumed anyway.

pda : s5830iDXLK
phone : s5830iDXLK
csc : s5830iOLBLD
i also have try ohter firmware. same also. my friends already help me. better flash multi package wipe that will erase all the old firmware to replace the new one. that i know based on i see people say. i dont know.
Ok I'm not sure why its doing that then to be honest! I've only just started using ODIN3 v3.07 so the only thing I can think is that I already had the correct baseband from my previous firmware that I flashed with v1.87!

I posted a question yesterday about my android Market not working. I tried every possible thing but I cant get it to work.
So now i'm thinking to install apk files manually through droid explorer. I was able to install some apps by download the apk from internet and using batch installer in droid explorer. But I cant install Flash Player and Asphalt 5. It shows Failure - Invalid APK.
My SGS is from 3 UK and i'm using it in India after unlocking it.

I had a SGS (Official unlocked Indian version) in Nov 2010 and it had stock 2.1 . Everything used to work properly on it.
But why is this SGS having problems ? Is it that the v2.2 has bugs ? Or is it because i'm using an 3 UK unlocked phone, as it has 3 branding ?
Can I flash the phone with an official Indian(or any other clean) ROM ? Can it solve these Market and invalid Bugs ? Because the hardware platform is same on both, I suppose !
SGS Tools market fix try .

Can you download Asphalt 5 from Samsung Apps which is installed by default?
else you can flash a JVK ROM (2.3.3) or JS8 ROM (2.2.1 stable) if you dont have many apps? I used these ROMS and its working fine. I live in India too.

Do u have an Indian version ? Is it possible that the hardware is different ? Or maybe the market sends info about the phone by giving IMEI, etc. and then it may be blocking my access as i have unlocked the phone ?
Where can I download the *stock* JS8 firmware and also get it's instructions, as I have never flashed a firmware manually before.

Unzip the js8 firmware you downloaded. You will see that there are three files pda file modem file and csc file.
If u bave the 502.pit file included use that or download the 502.pit file from samfirmware. Now open odin and then in the pit select 502.pit file. In the pda selct the pda file which you got after unzipping the js8 firmware. In the phone select the modem file and in csc select the csc file. Select repartition in odin.
Now put ur fon in download mode and wen it goes intk download connct it to the pc. Remebr to open odin on pc before you conect the phone. After you have connected the fon u will find lines appering in odin stating that the phone has been detected. After that press start and then wait for your phone to flash!

Somebody plz verify which files should I select ?
Should I do a hard factory reset ? Will it lock the phone again ?
Or a soft factory data reset is ok ?
Do i have to debrand the phone first ? Like through the kies registry patch ? I has 3 UK branding.
Current software config is :
PDA : I9000NEJP5
PHONE :I9000NEJP2
CSC : I9000HCGJP5

factoryfs.rfs
modem.bin

Which of these are the PDA, Phone and Modem files ??
You downloaded a single file XWJS8
YES
What the f8888 you are doing extracting the files for .
Think you need to read all the FAQs before you do anything at all .Your last post does not make much sense . Read and learn and start at the beginning not the middle .

Select repartition to avoid issues. And then put ur fone in download mode and flash. Remember to open odin on pc before you connect the phone to the pc. Phone should be jn download mode. Seems like my SGS doesn't support recovery & download modes.
I first held volume UP + Home button. Then while pressing them I also pressed the power button. The phone runs in SGS logo boot loop if i keep them pressed. I searched on forums, i found that we have release the power button as soon as SGS logo shows up. I did so and the phone boots up normally. Is my method wrong or the recovery & download modes could be really locked ?
Should I attempt that bootloader fix for enabling these 2 modes ? How safe is that ?

1. Enter download mode by pressing and holding vol-down, home and power buttons.
2. As long as the firmware you choose has multicsc support you can change after the actual flashing (causes factory reset)

hi every one
i just downloaded il orange rom 2.3.3 from sammobile i tried million times to flash it with odin , odin every time says pass but the i9000 just still booting .
i tried to remove the battery , to use pit file with the rom , to flash with defferent odin versions but it still the same , odin says pass but the phone booting all the time .
the rom is a tar file .
( every else rom "not tar file" working fine , but i need to flash the original rom )
any body can help me please ?
Download this guide. It is a direct link from the sammobile site.
How long are you waiting for the phone to start up. If you aren't waiting up to 30mins it is not long enough.
You should receive all the files required within the .zip file you downloaded from sammobile.com. If it was a single .tar file put it in PDA, if it is .pit file as well use that as well.
Does that help?
thank you , but i waited more than 30 min until the phone had become very hot then i feared to broke it .
it's a single tar file , should i use pit file with it ?
( in the guide samsung explains how to flash with non single file rom )
If the pit file came with the package then yes use it!
Can you give me a link to the rom you downloaded, and a link to the page you saw the list of firmwares for you.
What rom were you using before?
Also copy and paste what is says when you finish flashing, a screenshot would probably be better.
And lastly have you tried another computer?
F.M.K said:
3. i tried another original roms like cellcom rom its the same , but another roms like 2.3.6 and ics working just fine only the roms from sammobile do this to me .
4. i don't know how to take screen shoot of the mobile.

Make sure re-partition was ticked when you use the pit file.
Is there any reason you need a stock rom??
Ok it could be a bug with that FW somehow, try the links here
If the link is not there or after you try and flash the above rom and you still want to install the FW from sammobile then try after using the most similar firmwares above.
Finally if all that still doesn't work then download and install this.
Hopefully after installing that you can install the original. Or just stay with one of the other original roms above. I don't think having a carrier version of the rom is that important, but you know better than me because I assume it is important in your country.
If you do decide to stick with any of the firmware above then make sure you type in *#262*your imei# and select your correct csc code (3 letter code). Changing the selected code will reboot and factory reset your phone!

first of all thanks to you for helping me
second : i need afirmware with arabic , hebrew & english interface build in - only the il original one have this .
third : there is 3 providers in israel cellcom pelephone & orange , orange have a special band not like the others & this is the provider i use .
4. all the non original roms and ics's have too much problems , like radio dosn't work , low signal , market unfotunetly stoped , Restarts suddenly.
If you have a special band are you sure you have the i9000?? Is it another version of i9000 like i9000T or something. Check your box or the back of your phone after taking out the battery.
Again have you checked the firmware here it is the original firmware. It has JV9 firmware and therefore probably has your languages.. and once the correct csc is in and your APN is correct all should be fine.
This is all assuming that your phone is actually gt-i9000 not another variant.
Also the links i provide are generally quite stable and so have little or no bugs. For example this is known to be quite stable. However i am not sure about the languages..
Just found this link click by searching for the firmware name in google
And then if that doesn't work then you are not meant to have that update. Use the link for the firmware called I9000JHJV8 on sammobile, it is the earlier firmware however should fit your requirements. After setting the CSC and apn attach it to your computer with Kies and it will update to the latest.

all the links you gave me is the same of sammobile firmware , the same files , only the darky that is very nice one its working fine i think but not the original one .
thank you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
Above link is a thread on xda, that has stock firmware... find one you want the same one if you can...
http://samsung-updates.com/gt-i9000-samsung-galaxy-s/
Is a link to list that has same firmware you are trying to use from sammobile.
The reason i am giving you these links is because the files that you downloaded from sammobile.com may be corrupted. These are alternative links of the SAME firmware but different files.
Finally if these do not work and you have the same outcome that the phone does not boot. Then download and install the firmware called I9000JHJV8 on sammobile.com. It is the earlier firmware however should fit your requirements. After setting the CSC and APN connect your phone to your PC. Use Samsung Kies to update your phone.

i thing you are not understanding me , the proccess of flashing the phone completes just fine and the phone start booting but it still booting ( the booting animation working fine ) it get not into the system .
i think the problem is the single tar file because all the roms with three files and icses working fine .
if there is a way to un.tar the file and made from it 3 md5 files to flash with odin maybe it will works.

so from your experience, how did you end up in baseband problem?..
did you ticked the "phone EFS clear when upgrading from GB to JB?..
""so from your experience, how did you end up in baseband problem?..""
XXXX solved
""did you ticked the "phone EFS clear when upgrading from GB to JB?.. ""
yes and no
yes cos i was angry ans so frustrated that time that i cant fix the XXXX prob, samcustservice also didNOT fix that prob
i mean its all worth a try (i checked all box that time for a record!!!) LOL!
no coz its not necessary when flashing or upgrading
**theres another post on how to upgrade gb to jb (properly)
its very simple.
dl req files
your fw from sam
odin
drivers
put file on pda (jb only have 1 file)
optional: you can put also csc if u have 8gb or 16gb version check (repartition)
check only (reset time..) and (auto reboot) if without csc file
ur good to go these are just rundown of basic flash/upgrade
click start!
thats all
***yes you can have probs when you check those boxes like hardbrick your unit!
so it is very important to follow instructions when flashing fw's

my suspicion was either:
1. ticked the phone EFS clear
2. repartitioning (using pit files)
3. flashing sim-locked phone by carrier
for having this baseband XXXX problem
i am eliminating each.. all out of curiosity..
Hi,
After having changed usb port at the service, they also reload firmware to my note device. When I came home, noticed that Kies does not
recognize the firmware loaded by service.
The details from *#1234# are:
PDA: N7000XXLSZ
PHONE: N7000XXLSO
CSC: N7000OJVLSB
Build info: Thu Feb 14:01:51 KST 2013
From Settings --> about
Android version: 4.1.2
Kernel version 3.0.31-906407
Beaseband: N7000XXLSO
Build number: JZ054K.N7000XXLSZ
I dont remeber the previous frimware details, but it was recognized by Kies and I was able to upgrade if a new frimware arrived.
Further search leaded to incorret CSC and solution given was to type :
*#272*IEMI# and change CSC code for Turkey.
Did not use the last 2 digit which is / 01
But got error msg saying "Unkown application"
How to proceed from this point on ?
How can I change the CSC ?
Does 4.1.2 not allow CSC change ?
try this
and be ready for a wipe.
Thanks for the info, the problem is that, I dont want my phone as rooted. There must be a way withhout root authority.
Why *#272*iemi# does not work in my case ? I'm sure my iemi is correct and not entered the last 2 digit / 01 .
That code doesnot work since JB.

Hımm,
What about using Odin 3.07 and downloading Firmware : N7000XXLSZ CSC : N7000OJVLSB from sammobile.com ?
This will be my first use of Odin, and appyling firmware with it. Is it risky ? Does it cause any counter increase in Node ? ( for serviceability )
That should work.. Try flashing the stock firmware under csc tab. If that does not work then try the normal way..
Flashing stock doesnot increase counter..

Any recomended settings for ODIN ? Since there is already stock firmware on the phone, do I need a wipe for cache and data ?
nb. It will be the first time with Odin, soory about the questions.
Just leave everything default.. No need to wipe.

Going crazy ))
Downloaded Odin and proper stock code from sammobile.com for my country.
Used Odin to upload my phone with the ( so caled) new code. ( selected PDA for all code ) Everything went poperly. The code updated with success ...
I notice, you said only CSC but I've chosen PDA for all code to be updated. Did not dare to check only CSC, sorry.
Phone rebooted, and I was expecting the problem to be solved.
But:
Kies still says : Your devices current firmwre version is not supported to update firmware via Kies....
Another interesting thing is that, all the applications are there . I thought it should be a clean start w/o any addtl appl. intstalled by me.
Can this be the clue ?
I'm stuck ..
What am I doing wrong ?
Flashing a JB rom will not wipe anything. It will retain your apps and data.
Check if the csc has changed or not. If not, then it's best to root and use csc changer. Then you can flash the rom again like you did to remove root.

The problem with root is, my note is still under warranty, at least for one more year. I also found Framaroot but it also violates warranty.
I think, the best way is to revisit the service dept of Samsung and ask them to reload the proper stock rom .
I didnt want to revisit service, since it takes too much time to get the phone back from them
JB does not support *#272*iemi#
The rom I found from sammobile.com for my country somehow not the proper one. pda: xxlsz phone: xxlso csc: JVLSB
Couldnt found what LSB stands for anywhere.
Looking stock rom for Turkey.
So, behave as a nice customer and visit the service dept Pitty ...
