I think your only option is to reflash partitions. Check the threads for instructions.

And your device is rooted? Did you have running Google Apps? Which GoogleServicesFramework.apk you have installed?

Firefox crashes except for 10.1 and 10.2 but the new firefox nightly works someone on another thread linked this dropbox file https://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/fennec-20.0a1.multi.android-arm.apk I tested it and it works

I'm encountered the same problem with FF force closing after opening using version 17.0.
Once my Kindle Fire charges back up I'm going to try the nightly builds and if those don't work going to older releases from mozilla's ftp mobile directory.
Sorry I can't post a direct link - I'm too new.
Current setup is an unrooted KFHD 8.9.
Just looking for browser that will let me tweak an ad blocker and javascript to my liking.
I will let you know if any work.

Installed the current nightly off Mozilla's site - download was called fennec-20.0a1.multi.android-arm.apk - and so far so good even if it feels a bit laggy.
Trying to import bookmarks crashed it for me.

I checked my KFHD but couldn't not find any googleservicesframework.app (looked in /system/app and elsewhere). I tried both releases and nightlies (10, 18 and 19). None of them worked.
My KFHD is a rooted 7" model with the Play Store app installed.
Somewhat off-topic: Why does the Play Store tell me that Chrome is not compatible with my device? Does anybody know what it requires that the KFHD doesn't have without diving into the androidmanifest.xml file of the APK? Thx!

[Q] Wrong file placed in boot partition when installing TWRP

So I tried to install TWRP on my Kindle Fire HD 7 and when the steps came to use FireFlash I had out the wrong img. file into the boot partition and placed no file into the recovery partition. Now whenever I power on my Kindle 7 HD, I automatically go into TWRP and I dont know what to do... HELP PLEASE. THANK YOU TO ALL!!!
Wait u replaced the boot loader with twrp? I think that's fixable, but I need to know if that's what happened or if I misunderstood.

Yes exactly that. TWRP became the boot partition for FireFlash and I forget to insert a recovery partition.
Wow um, I don't know if u can use fast boot at this point or not even though that would be easiest, if u can't I think u would need a custom ROM to flash that restores stock os, because I think the ones hashcode provided don't wipe recovery and the boot partition. This is a weird scenario. I will need to do some research before I can tell you exactly what to do. This may take a while to research if I am downloading stock ROMs since they are near a GB. If u can get it into fast boot by going g into twrp and hitting reboot, then hitting bootloader, tell me because this will be much simpler.

If you can get into fastboot, get kindle fire first aide and just restore to stock 7.2.3

So the guide says that the fastboot should so up automatically after the USB cable is plugged in, but I only get fastboot after I reboot with boot loader. Will this be a problem (I haven't done it yet)?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
Shouldn't be a problem. Fastboot is fastboot. xD
I thought I would mention I haven't used kffa so I personally don't know if it flashes your boot loader partition or not. But since it was suggested to do it it can't hurt anything even if that wasn't the case. Post the results plz.

[Q] Help! My KFHD 7" won't turn on

Hi there! I received a KFHD and tried to install the cm 10.2 but something went wrong, when I had to turn the device into recovery mode it didn't turned on anymore. It just begins with the start screen kindle fire and never go ahead. Is there a way to restore it? Sorry for my english if isn't good enough, I'm Italian. Thanks a lot for your help!
Try the restore tool from the Dev section. Unfortunately it will take you back to a clean stock but at least it will boot.

Use Kindle fire system restore tool for 7". This is assuming you have the 2012 KFHD7. You will need a fastest cord as well.

Matt something or other over on the nexus 7 threads and razor HD threads wrote an apk. I've got it some where that you van download. Its on the play store also. It freezes the download after its finished downloading and pulls it from the sort of hidden folders and puts it in a zip on your SD card as well as uploads it to his site and I think github

He goes by batakang. Great developer. Super cool cat too. Here's his apk. Please install and if you get an update please run the apk and snatch the ota for us to build off of and go thru it to find what if at all it patches and locks down further.
