There is a lot of development for Jelly Bean going on for our Aces. But sometimes it seems like ICS is getting neglected. Especially AOKP projects. Is there a currently active AOKP ICS for the SGS Ace S5830?

I don't particularly like the Jellaxy ROMs on paper (I can't say that I have tested them though), plus they are based on Jelly Bean. I don't think that my little Ace should run Jelly Bean as it has such limited storage space and RAM.
If you can convince me that Jelly Bean on the Ace is worth it then brilliant

Yes its jellybean based. The gapps are on the first page of of the thread. Make sure to get the one for jellybean. You'll flash them like you flash the rom. Right after you flash the rom.

5.0.2.6 I believe. Something like that. Too lazy to check ATM. Earlier in this thread you said you were running a Jellaxy ROM. This isn't Jellaxy. What's up with that? And what's the difference between a slim ROM and a regular ROM?

It is not a pre-requisite. It doesn't need 4.1.2. You just have to flash the ROM. It will automatically say that version.
By the way, I flashed with JB 4.2.2 the same day and running on the same.

The overall look and feel is much smooth. I haven't discovered many bugs yet, but if you try to change widget buttons (which I generally used to do in CM10 build#3), then the quick settings (in the notification drawer) won't simply work.
