Did you copy the app's library (.so file) to /system/lib? It should be at /data/data/jackpal.androidterm/lib/libjackpal-androidterm4.so
That's probably what's causing it to force close if you didn't.

Are you rooted?!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Root Explorer should work.
You need to be rooted and have the system mounted as R/W
have the same problem. Phone is rooted, rootexplore asked for super ursser permission, is set to R/W and still i can't change gps.conf in etc folder! i mean i'm copy/paste the change one but it remains the same! WTF?
Have you tried setting the permissions? Long press and hit permissions. Select the ones you want and try again.
Check if the SU permission is correctly attributed to root explorer, or give it again

lib file if you do not copy it to the lib folder will not work ..
if you want to work push lib files to system / lib
also missing xml's related to the launcher in system/etc/permissions
probably u didn't copy a file or set permissions wrong. two apk and one lib file have be set rw-r-r permission. then restart phone.. if u are talking ab touchwiz 5.0... and also it works with JB only...
hello guys i installed the com.sec.android.app.snotebook-1.apk and put it in system/apps
then i put those lib files in system / lib (attachments)
the apk worked fine and all features are working But
there is a problem :-
handwriting to text feature isn't working although shape and equation features are working well
but i think there is something missing because when i try to write something it gives me a popup saying failed i think this means that there is something missing also when i open the language menu its blank so i think we need language backs for Snote.apk
i'm not so good in developing so i would like the developers to help us in this problem .
I have tried what you described, and more fixed the permissions in /system/lib
but the app still crashing and can't open it !!
what app have u installed the one the i mentioned or another because it wont start and it will force close ,
its working for me and try again but the app in system/app and files in system/lib also change build.prop product.name to GT-N7000
then reboot and it will work

Standard copy method doesnt work because of permission thing . Adb pull sdcard/TWRP in recovery also doesnt work. Permission change required.

same thing happening to me , my backup is of 9GB
?? someone help
Go the recovery (TWRP) and then try again to copy the data.
TWRP does mount the storage and you can then use the Windows Explorer to copy the data safely.
Should work.

I did what you told , but my storage space insufficient to copy the backup.
But i have succeded copy the TWRP Back up by accident actually.
What i did , set the twrp folder to chmod 755 and enter then restart phone to recovery again.
TWRP came up and ask wether to keep system as read only or allow system modification.
I set allow , then connect to pc. And it works! Copy drag drop etc work as usual.
However I cannot manually see the TWRP setting for the read/write system... hmm
