I've been running the latest CM10 nightlies with no mayor bugs. I've been using CM10 for 5 days now and I've yet to experience the call bug, so this is just minor nuisance.
Whenever I try to open the latest Google Search, the app shows up, but then It hides in about 2-3 seconds automatically, no matter what I do.
I already tried clearing the cache, and reinstalling the app, but this behavior continues. I tried this also, but it didn't helped.
Anyone else having this issue? Any recomendations?

yes sir, uninstall google search update and clear cache and data after uninstalling. your google now will work again
Yeah it's probably a problem with the data. Clear cache and reinstall. To no sure you don't run into this problem again you should try repartitioning your phone to 512MB if you haven't already, so you have more space in your systems folder. I believe this will help Google now run more consistently

So the problem is with the update? I uninstalled it and it's working now. Any workarounds?

So, recently I noticed that my Market (or Google Play, whatever you want to call it...) got updated to version 3.5.15. Since then, I'm not able to download some free apps like the newest Angry Birds (space) for example. It keeps saying that there is some kind of purchasing problem even though the app is free? This also happens with a few other apps...
The strangest thing is that I can download some other apps like Coin Dozer with the newest version, and I can't even update every app. I mean, I can update some of them, but I can't update Superuser for some reason...
I'm using the latest Temasek's KANG with the latest kernel from vadonka. (HOC LITE OTF 48MB). And I was wondering if this problem is related to the market version.
EDIT: So, I figured that I can only download apps from the Play Store I previously downloaded before. With other words, apps I once installed but then removed. (like Coin Dozer).
Thx for taking your time!
UPDATE 1:
So, after messing around a bit I finally managed to solve this problem. First I deleted all the updates and installed the market apk 3.4.4. Afterwards I made sure that the apk wouldn't update itself again with the help from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431341
Now I got a functional Market again. It's not the latest, but at least it's working normally again. I know it didn't really solve the problem with Market 3.5.15, which is a pity because I kinda liked the new updates. But, Hey, you win something and you lose something.
UPDATE 2:
Finally, after the help from UnityCake (Thanks bro! ) , I managed to solve this problem and now I've got Market 3.5.15 working again! .
Thanks you guys for your help!
I really appreciated it!
I have the same configuration and all works fine. Try to reinstall the rom
or you could try clearing your market cache if you haven't already, failing that boot into recovery and wipe cache & dalvik there. or.. uninstall the market updates, and let it update again later =)

Do you also have Play Store 3.5.15? And it works fine on your phone?

Hmmm... I already tried wiping cache and fixing the permissions. I'm pretty sure the problem is related to this specific version because previous versions were working fine for me. But I will try it, thanks for the tips!
EDIT: I tried wiping the cache of the market application and the problem still persists. Also, I deleted the updates and let the Market app update itself again to 3.5.15 and the problem still isn't gone. I'm pretty sure the problem is related to this Play Store version.
I had a big bug with latest version a couple of days ago, I couldn't instal anything and all installed apps vanished from market menu.
I erased my Google account from the phone and set it again and all was ok then.
Yes it's the same version

So I suppose you need to erase your Google account with the 'accounts & synchronization' option in settings. However when I try to do that, it says I only can delete my account by doing a factory reset in the 'Privacy' option. My question is, isn't there an easier way to delete my Google account, without losing all my data?
Maybe try to re-install/flash Google Play Store. We have the same ROM and KERNEL, but, I don't have any problem with the latest Market. Hope it helps.

Hmmm.... Okay, then I will factory reset my phone and reflash everything and see if that works... I can always restore my apps with Titanium Backup, so it's not a real big problem anyways.
UPDATE: So after a factory reset and a total reflash, Play Store 3.5.15 still doesn't work . It asked for permission when I opened the app for the first time and then it worked for a short time. Afterwards it asked again for the same permission and I accepted again and now I have the same problem as before. I'm clueless right now, any idea guys?
weird.. if you did a factory reset and reflashed it, the issue must be fixed. maybe its a rom issue or kernel?

Unlikely, I mean, you've got the same combination as me, like many others and it works fine on your phone and on the phones of everyone else. I really don't know what the problem is . Anyway I managed to fix this problem (sort of) so I got a decent market again .

Not completely, I reverted back to market 3.4.4 and made sure it wouldn't update itself anymore. So, I didn't solve the problem with Market 3.5.15, but I got at least a functional Market again.

I had this same issue. The quickest way to fix Market 3.5.15 is to:
1. Erase data for google play and Google Services Provider
2. Enter Recovery --> Advanced --> Fix Permissions
So now I can download apps on 3.5.15 without downgrading

Try fixing permissions or uninstall with titanium pro and reinstall with play store
Also try wiping the data in titanium

Not an ICS issue... got my ICS LPY update over the air a while back, and have had no map problems since.
Easy, go to settings, applications, go to maps an click it, select delete data, try if still crashes. If it does, do delete data again, then uninstall and reinstall from play store. Test again, that should work

same problem
I have exactly the same problem. I have updated my Note from the latest gingerbread to the stock german ICS. After installation was completed I have noticed that Maps are constantly crashing. Google maps will locate my position and try to load map.. Everything is really choppy and after a while app will stop responding altogether and crash.
So.. at first I tough that it may be ICS ROM bug, so I have reverted back to the old ROM. I have wiped out user data, cash, etc.
I have also tried above mentioned method (posted by baz77) of uninstalling app, but nothing has changed.
I searched all over the internet, and found that there are more people suffering from this bug.
Any idea what's going on?? Thanks. I am becoming really desperate..
Fixed.
I followed Baz77's suggestion (adding a cache clear as well) and Maps is now working fine.
It worked, but only for a while. After I have uninstalled updates, removed app data, I was able to make it work. Everything was smooth but after about one minute scrolling became choppy and few second later app stopped responding and crashed. How is it possible that even different ROM didn't help? I tough that when I set "wipe data/factory reset", it would erase all stored system data..
Problem solved
Ok, so this thread can now be officially closed. I have once again uninstalled Maps and it's updates. Because I have done it so many times before, I have completely resigned and stopped wasting my time with it. My phone has run out of juice (guess why), so I left it on charger for several hours. After I have unplugged it, an update notification for Maps pops up. I sad OK to myself.. why not to try it once more.
And to my great surprise, IT WORKED this time. I have no idea WHY, but it just did. Maybe system needed some time to remove registry settings/kill process or something like that. I have restarted Note few times before with no success.
Or maybe Google has made some changes to update file in meantime, but that's unlikely.
Anyway..
Thanks everyone for help. Drinks are on me
Hey guys,
The other day I flashed an experimental CM10.1 nightly along with the most recent stable gapps for 10.1. Everything seems to be working OK, but the Play Store doesn't load at all. I've tried various things, including different WiFi networks, but nothing works. I can load web pages in both Chrome and the stock browser, so I think it's a gapps problem.
Any ideas? Does anyone know which gapps I should flash?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
What exactly happens? Does Google Play open at all?
You can try flashing: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip. Make sure to wipe cache and dalvik cache beforehand in recovery.
If that doesn't work, try heading to Settings>Apps>Google Play Services>Uninstall Updates, and Settings>Apps>Google Play Store>Uninstall Updates.
Good luck.

That's the zip I used originally. I didn't wipe the caches the first time, so I guess I'll try reflashing it.

first of all check your hosts file
At first I wasn't able to open the Play store at all. Reflashed with Gapps, cleared caches. Now I can open the store, but any time I try to update apps I get the error:
"Update for __________ could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])"
Any ideas?
EDIT: removing my gmail account and then setting it up again along with clearing the data for google play and services seems to have done the trick.
I have Gummy ROM version M3.0-07-16-14-RELEASE-m7spr installed on my HTC One and I installed snapchat today, but usually about 10-15 seconds into the app, it'll cause my phone to reboot for some reason. I tested other apps and they work fine, so I think it's just snapchat causing this. Anyone else experience this or know a fix?

anytime you get an app that misbehaves like this the first step is go into settings/apps/all ..find the offending app and clear it's cache and data and see if it works .. next step is uninstall the app completely and reboot the phone and try installing it again.

Nope, uninstalling, reboot and reinstall didn't work. I heard of people having issues with their Nexus devices about this, and other phones apparently, but that was with 4.4.3, I'm 4.4.4. Not sure what's causing it.

try clearing cache and data too, if that didnt log you out, then try to log out. reboot, if doesnt work then probably will have to wait for snap chat to update and see what happens

Have been using Snaochat alot with ViperOne 7.0.1 (4.4.3), and never encounter any error so far.
I ma having the same problem on My Htc one too.
Hi, I have a strange problem with google maps. After updating to the latest version, the application closes all the time (without giving any error). Clear app data helps but only until the next restart. When I uninstall all map updates it works normally.

Gookill sucks.
My problem seems to be memory related. When the application is open or I quit it (but I won't close it completely), it starts up normally. When I force it to stop, it won't start anymore (I need to clear cache and app data to work again). Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
