I have just updated to XXLK2 from XXLD1 all stock. Phone is just a week old. I have notice some changes in the scrolling so I went google to try and find some answers. I have stumbled upon a forum, polish I think, which talked about this change. It seems that they to have some problem but the weird thing is some of the ones who made the update haven't encountered the problem. They said it is not a bug, but I think it is. Just the mere fact that not all that have updated experience the change. But again it also might be possible that those who says they do not experience any of the problems does not use their phone the same way as those who are complaining.
The change by the way in scrolling is it was a bit slowed down, so when you flick you need to do it faster to be in par with the speed on XXLD1. The annoying part is when you want to stop the scroll. Usually you just press the screen in order for the scrolling to stop but I have noticed that in these update you need to tap the screen(touch and release) for it to stop scrolling. Doing the previous method will just let the scrolling continue and will only stop after you remove your finger. And also moving it to the opposite direction will do nothing while it is scrolling.
To those who are curious about the other changes(XXLK2):
- Better Memory Management(from other forum. Not yet proven)
- Longer battery life(from other forum. Not yet proven)
I'll just update if these changes are really true or you can post here if you have notice changes from the previous firmware.
Any way back to the topic. Would any one share their opinion, thoughts and experience about this matter?
Cause for me the slow scrolling is ok. but the new way(or might be a bug) to stop the scrolling is annoying and unnatural. It's like against the instinctive way of doing it.
*It seems that the problem(change) in scroll is not the same in every application. The one described above is while viewing the contacs. On the music player tapping or pressing the while scrolling stops the movement but you still need to release before you could scroll the opposite way.
Same issue here. I Don't like the scrolling after the update at all. Flicking it sets it in motion. Next touch results in a dead stop. Is there a way to go back to the older scrolling way?
I too have this issue but after updating to DDLK2 it was solved. It was very irritating when u have a long list to scroll.

Allright, flashed XXLK with Odin now, scrolling stays messed up. Back to XXLD now, next station jellybean...

Keeps being a difficult one.... Now back on XXLD, scrolling is perfect now, but email bug is present again, showing blank screen in mail app form time to time. Scrolling vs dodgy mail hmmmm.....
i have some problems with my phone too after updating OTA to xxlk2, after a few days of phone use it becomes very laggy when i unlock the screen and when i lock it , the sound play its after a few seconds after the action took place, also when i answer a call i can hear the other person after a 4-5 seconds , till then nothing, if i clear memory in task manager and kill aplications in advance task killer , the phone runs well until i do the first lock of the screen , after its the same . if i restart the prhone everything is ok for 1-2 day , then same problems again.
another problem i saw after updating to xxlk2 is that before updateing i had a rooted phone , now is not rooted anymore and when i tried to install superuser phone screen went crazy ,black foggy dots appeared on the white parts in the image so i got scared and uninstalled immediately .
i just cand wait for the jb update and i hope that all the problems that i encounter will dissapear

I have been waiting for someone to let me know if this would work but since i didnt get a response i figured i wouod just give it a shot. So to anyone else wanting the Optimus firmware and features, this is what u do.
Root your Thrill 4G with one click
Flash Clockwork Mod recovery
Download the new 10K Firmware flashable zip and put on root of sd card
Boot into CWM recovery with power+3D+volume down
Make backup
Wipe data,cache,dalvik (i did 3 times each)
Install the firmware zip
Reboot and wait. It took 5 min to boot
Done... Now you can play Mario Kart in 3D or anything else u want, and no more at&t crap.

Hi, This is link for v10k European Open in *.zip format.

Yesss! It really works! I just flashed European 10K without any problems.
Thanks!
Yes but, no 4G and does your MMS work????
If 3g data/MMS not working, try manually edit APNs.
I haven't installed, all O3D roms I have installed except for CM7 MMS hasn't worked even with the correct APN either on no type or type set to "mms, supl"
Does anyone know a way of unlocking now without having to pay for an unlock code?? Thanks

hey guys just installed this a few hrs ago and i have to say its nice to have the ability to use 2g or HSPA or even 3G when there is no HSPA. the battery life is a little better from what i can see. my download speed over cell network is close to 875KB which is pretty damn good .my upload is at 190KB. so far everything seems to be working good . will update once i see an issue .

does the 4g (HSPA+) work with this, or will it work if there is an APN change that you have to do.
is there any way to get rid of this weird "AT&T" thing that appears on my lock screen? it has a picture of a sim card next to it
also, is there something wrong with the OTA? it doesn't work on my phone...is it because of this mod?
Yeah mafiadesi when you put roms on your phone (or I think even using CWR) will make it so your can't get OTA's because the phone won't how to update through OTA.
is there a time delay in the v10k rom? i flashed one of the roms from ThiaiZ over at the LG Optimus 3D forums and when i set the time to "Automatic" there was a delay of 4 hrs, its not a big deal seeing you can manually set it, but i am just wondering...
And as a side note, is there any difference between the At&t Thrill and Rogers LG Optimus 3D (my box still say P925G on it)
I noticed the delay too. It was exactly corresponding to my time zone (-5 hrs).

Also, if you try to delete any home screen which is before default home screen, the launcher crashes.
For example, if I have 5 screens, with 3rd as default, if I try to delete 1/2 the launcher will crash. Anybody experiencing similar thing?

yeah i had the same problem too, but it would only happen the first time i tried to delete a screen, after that it was running fine
Ps just have a very quick question, can i restore to stock using the mobile support tool or will that give me a brick?! :S
It still happens to me. No FC if I delete screens after the default, but anything before gives me a FC.
I have no idea This is my first rom flash on this phone. Still have to figure out how to go back, but I saw a thread in development section about going to stock, I would rather use that.

I do not have enough posts to ask this question in CDMoncrieff's 4.2.2 ROM thread so I will ask it here. What is the difference between CDMoncrieff's latest 4.2.2 ROM, SGA, and shumash 4.2.2. ROM? Are they all built on the same thing with slight tweaks?

What you should understand is that the Touchpad is heavily dependent on pre-built drivers and libraries. Therefore, many of the different ROMs end up being a reinterpretation of the UI only. In short they're built from pretty much the same device source with a few differences here and there; pick the UI you like best.
shumash builds PAC, with which you have all the PA settings, CM settings, and AOKP settings. It's very customizable.
-SGA- built SlimROM which is AOSP based and has a different variety of custom appearance features and settings.

FWIW, I installed CDMoncrieff's AOSP build yesterday (was on SickleROM before this). I am really happy with it. Have not found any issues so far at all. Schizoid listed some conflicts between settings, etc. So, CDMoncrieff's seemed cleaner to me.
The only thing I have not resolved till now is how to have TP not go to sleep while on touchstone. I can launch clock in night mode, but I want it to stay on the homescreen instead.
I have never had this problem with any of the previous ROMs till now. It is not a show-stopper however.
Unfortunately, I cannot post this in the dev forum because I don't have enough posts
I am keeping that as a daily driver until I hit a show-stopper bug.

Well, I hit the first snag. I cannot get the camera to work.
There was no camera included by default. I restored one from TiBu, and that did not work. Installed one from the play store (UCam) and that did not work either. CDMoncrieff's post mentions some problem related to camera preview rotation, but I can't get it to work in any mode.
In your app drawer, go to HP ToucPad Settings. Then click on the camera tab and make sure it indicates "front camera with mirrored preview(android default)”

It was already set to that. I switched it to webOS, and reverted it to Android. Rebooted. Still no luck.
Camera says "Camera has stopped"
UCam says cannot connect to the camera.

Uninstalling the older one fixed it. Now, I know what the "rotated preview" problem means

I will be receiving my new device today and I am having a bit of a dilemma. For the first time, I am considering running my device stock un-rooted as I really like to have the skygo app which will only function on an un-rooted device. The problem is, I know the 3 dot menu will really do my head in.
I am coming from the hox + were this menu can be disabled without root so, firstly, could somebody tell me how prevailent this is at present? Are there still a lot of apps with this problem?
The ideal solution for me would be to have skygo working on a rooted device but I have searched and searched and have not been able to find a solution for this. Is there one?
Also, perhaps a noob question, is it possible to root the device, remove the 3 dot menu then un-root it and still have this modification on place?
Any observations and help would be grately appreciated.
This is also the main reason I rooted. There are still a LOT of apps with the 3 dot menu and it is unbelievably annoying to see that black bar so often. I don't know why htc didn't just leave the option to long press back for menu in the stock Rom.

Yes, the 3 dot menu is there for many apps. Yes, it is annoying. However, seeing as the screen is an decent size and I have always had the 3 dots since owning the phone, I am used to it now, it doesn't bug me all that much.
Also, I think there is a decent chance this will be fixed when htc send out an update.
Sky go just recently updated to include working on the HTC one, who knows how long it will last.... Which is why I would say to stick with Unrooted for now if you are a sky go user

Since you already have a HOX+, enable the on screen menu & check the apps you frequently use if they are updated & don't need the menu button anymore. This way you will know if it will bother you or not.
Root the stock rom on your device, disable 3 dot menu, remove the Superuser binaries, install SkyGo. Works a treat!

If someone would like to confirm this as working....
I'd be more than happy with such a solution.
Where I put "Works A Treat" it should read "Should work a treat". I haven't tested it on this device but I had a similar problem getting SkyGo to work on my Nexus 10. I had to root first, edit the build.prop to think it's a different device and then unroot. Worked perfectly.

Well it kind of worked. You no longer get the doesnt work on a rooted device message however you do get the Unsupported Device message. This is because SkyGo doesnt officially support the One yet. A news report I just read suggests that Sky are increasing there supported devices next week to include the One and the S4.
I would suggest waiting until SkyGo is updated next week and then try the above method.
Nope, sky go now does officially get support for htc one. I downloaded it yesterday, it mentions this phone in the most recent updates. And I tried it out for a few seconds, streamed countdown fine.
Just to confirm I am on an Unrooted htc one.

I've noticed that quite often some apps fail to appear on my recent apps list (the one that appears when you long press the home button). For example I am running Opera Mobile, I long press home, I switch to another app for a few seconds to look at something, then I long press home again but Open Mobile is missing form the list! This can be fixed by immediately pressing back to close the recent apps list and then reopening it by long pressing home. The second time all apps are properly there.
This problem is not limited to S3 mini. A friend running 4.1 on some other Samsung phone (the one with the curved screen, I don't remember the model) also encounters this problem.
Anyone else here affected? I see no references to this problem on the web. Any way to solve this? Or perhaps any news about s3 getting 4.2 hopefully fixing this?
It's quite annoying considering it happens a few times per day to me.

You're not the only one experiencing this problem It happens every time you switch to another app for few seconds (5-6). I guess this happens because the SystemUI process doesn't have enough time to refresh the index of the apps running in background and generate new thumbnails for them ^^

That's exactly my, wild, guess. Not enough time to generate a thumbnail or something. So it's an android bug and there's nothing to do about it? And why all the lack of information on this bug on the internet?

Over a year later and I run into this problem on an S4 running 4.4.2. This thread is literally the only info I can find on this problem. Such a pain, I rely on the recent apps list a lot and half the time either the list order does not update, or an app I last opened or two is missing. Did you manage to resolve this?
