Currently running the original CM for the touchpad. Need to upgrade for sure. Havent really been playing with it.
Which of all the choices is most stable? I'll be giving to my 13 year old, and dont want to have to deal with fixing things.

MOKEEOS
Hi Everybody,
This is my first ever rom on XDA. I am not a dev, i just ported this GB base rom to nexus s. I already tested everything. It works fast with out any problem. Also I have to thanks Galaxyuser who helped me to fix googleplay fc. As you know He ported this rom already to nexus s. This is the latest version of mokeeOS.
Credit goes to:
mokeeos team
Cyanogen-mod team
Galaxyuser
if you notice any bugs please post it.
if you like my work please hit thanks button.
Note1: Gapps already included
Note2: If you have problem with su permission simply just flash this .zip file and youll e good. The problem is, mokee team has included the SuperUser into the rom, I tried to removed it but its related to framework stuff.
Installation:
If you are coming from ICS/JB roms you need to perform a fullwipe.
Issues:
- The only thing I have noticed so far , when you press About phone in setting you get FC, but other than that everything else works smooth.
P.S: This rom is meant to be for who want to experience a new GB rom with new UI, So please dont spam my thread. Also I am not responsible for whatever can happen to your phone. Flash it at your own risk.

Buddy, I did not ask you to flash this rom. if you dont want to flash please dont spam the thread and wait for JB rom to release.
What launcher are you using? I know galaxy user put go launcher but I didn't like it. I prefer gb over ics because it's a memory hogger!

Never heard of MokeeOS. Care to tell me what is so special about this ROM? It looks interesting.
Any plans for a 4.04 version? Can't seem to go backwards; heck Jelly Bean is even out.

While you may use it, I think you might be flogging a dead horse here seeing as nearly everyone is waiting for JB proper. I am sure its a good ROM but its a bit like trying to sell a VCR player when Blu Ray is out.
Timing is a wonderful thing
this is a really nice rom! thanks!

Official by LGE? None. But if you are willing to try something that is not perfect but anyway extraordinarly good, Cyanogen mod 10 (JB4.1.2) or Cyanogen mod 10.1 (JB 4.2.1). But you must have your phone rooted and if you are REALLY NEW, take your time to learn more searching this forum.

Hi, i have tried many ROMs for my SGS and the only ROM my SGS was fine with was
Tsunami X : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878961&highlight=tsunami
I think it's because of the HugeMemPatch the Dev talks about.
Yesterday I wanted to change my ROM to a newer, and also because the dev doesn't look like caring about the feedback so I downloaded Slim Bean 4.3 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400003
And now my Ram only have like 20Mo Free... Google Services use 39Mo and Parameters 69Mo, What the...you know the following
Can somebody help me? Thanks
I don't know slimbean but i think it is the same prob as discussed in many topics...
Our SGS device gets older.. newer devices have lots more of RAM 1,5-2GB ...we have 512MB...
The apps consumed more RAM because of newer functions... same in Google apps... Android itself...
And 4.3 i think is in nightly status, maybe with first RC's it gets better

I fixed my own problem, I flashed my rom with carbon rom which is an awesome rom with the kernel Semaphore, if i'm not wrong SlimBean rom doesn't have Semaphore as kernel so i think Semaphore is the solution for everybody who have a low Ram problem.
Thanks !

I was wondering if it's worth to update my GT-I9000 to 4.2.2/4.3. Is it going to bring any performance? More apps and games?
Thanks!

4.2.2 is not as laggy as 2.3.6, so it brings a performance boost for ui. But games are better on 2.3.6, because the new graphics drivers have to be implemented correctly. The devs are working on it atm. If you want a compromise between these two, you can use android 4.0.4. It's smooth and games are running good at it. I would suggest you to try several roms and choose the one that fits you best

Go to this thread and download the odin-version of cwm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39508963
Flash it via odin as described in the thread. Then you can flash any rom via recovery and you don't have to root your phone anymore as it is done automatically.

It's not bad, but it only came out of alpha. 10.1.3 would be the safest choice

By the way, does anyone know where I can download cm-11-20150330-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip (cm11 dated March 30th 2015)?
I heard this version is really smooth and I would like to try it but can't find it anywhere(the link in the official web site is not working also).
Can anyone send it to me or give me a link?
I just loaded CM11 and so far I have zero issues...and it is smoother than the 10. version which I had before.....by a hair.

I wouldn't suggest it. It's already three months old, and in the meantime there is a great number of fixes applied, including the dreaded flickering-and-rebooting on landscape. I 'd suggest getting the latest build from here.
