how about cm11? Is it unstable?

It's not bad, but it only came out of alpha. 10.1.3 would be the safest choice

By the way, does anyone know where I can download cm-11-20150330-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip (cm11 dated March 30th 2015)?
I heard this version is really smooth and I would like to try it but can't find it anywhere(the link in the official web site is not working also).
Can anyone send it to me or give me a link?

I just loaded CM11 and so far I have zero issues...and it is smoother than the 10. version which I had before.....by a hair.

I wouldn't suggest it. It's already three months old, and in the meantime there is a great number of fixes applied, including the dreaded flickering-and-rebooting on landscape. I 'd suggest getting the latest build from here.

The cyanogenmod site lets you download them direct or you can check the development thread under the HP touchpad device.
They're stable, running ICS and a huge improvement over alpha 2.

So the hardware in the sgs3 mini is that different.
I just checked the cyanogen mod github and it seems that no development related to this device branch has been created yet.
So well, let's wait and see ^^
This phone doesn't even have custom recovery image. We'll have to wait for that first.
It takes several months for a dev to come up with a working buggy alpha version. Just use Titanium to debloat the phone in the meantime.

I'm thinking about purchasing this device for my girlfriend.
When it will get CM10/CM10.1? She is already using Kindle Fire with CM and loves it...
Stock is so terrible.

Best, most stable, JB ROM?

Currently running the original CM for the touchpad. Need to upgrade for sure. Havent really been playing with it.
Which of all the choices is most stable? I'll be giving to my 13 year old, and dont want to have to deal with fixing things.
I'm using the slim ROM...haven't got any problems with it

The CM10.0 stable always failed the LTE handoff for me. I had to keep the phone in 3g-only mode in order for it to function.

2.3.6 vs 4.2.2/4.3 Should I?

Hello!
I was wondering if it's worth to update my GT-I9000 to 4.2.2/4.3. Is it going to bring any performance? More apps and games?
Thanks!
Hell Yeah!!!
Ofcourse, U'll have alot of support... More apps and games support only 4.X

4.2.2 is not as laggy as 2.3.6, so it brings a performance boost for ui. But games are better on 2.3.6, because the new graphics drivers have to be implemented correctly. The devs are working on it atm. If you want a compromise between these two, you can use android 4.0.4. It's smooth and games are running good at it. I would suggest you to try several roms and choose the one that fits you best

You recommend me to try some roms, yet I don't know how to root my phone (2 bricks), nevermind trying roms.

Go to this thread and download the odin-version of cwm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39508963
Flash it via odin as described in the thread. Then you can flash any rom via recovery and you don't have to root your phone anymore as it is done automatically.

Yeah and 4.2.2 brings many security patches and features ...
It is not such a problem to flash...there are so many people here you can ask for...but it isn`t really a prob ...i did it, too!!!:good:

But there are also many other roms like slimbean or paranoidandroid for our S+. Maybe one of them will suite you better.
