hi guys first of all i'd like to thank every1 working on this great project which will definitely be the primary operating system for lots of x1's out there.
second, i'd like to ask a question since there r lots of android builds out there,
i'd like to know which one has the most features working?
and what is still not working on all of the builds?
another thing, Android 2.2 will be available in less than w week and they say it's going to be 450% faster than the previous build, is there a chance that it'll be ported to x1 too?
sry for all these questions but I've been away for a while and i'm really interested on using android on my X1.

for Froyo I hope it can be in X1 lol that would be great,
at this time Battery bugs are all almost fixed, just camera and GPS now so we can get a ROM =)
it everyday gets better and better, and faster updating, I think we should get a Nice fast clean and full ROM for this fall... (hope)

clean/glossy difference is just as theme difference... for me only camera and gps dont work, and battery problems are fixed yet, new builds will becoming soon with battery fixed!

Bluetooth works? And somebody should downclock CPU when screen is turning off, and fix always working speaker (i think this cause fast battery draining except CPU which is running on full speed [528mhz]) :/

hmmm i cant take screnshot as my phone is away for repare at this time, but how can say, Glossy is simply black and more shiny than clean version, just try it will take only 5minutes

why you need live wallpapers it would only slow down the android
by slowing do u mean really slowing it down to the extent that it can't be used?
IMO i guess live wallpapers look very good that i want to use them

Is Android good enough to replace Windows Mobile? Is there a better replacement for Windows Mobile 6.1? Coz my friend is about to throw his phone into pieces and jump on it for pure pleasure. heh.

Hi, since i move from FroyoBread to latest GingerDX im having some little issues in camera mode, my first shoot or after some shoots my camera turn black and the only way to back to work is force closing the camera app, this is happening in stock camera app and camera 360 ultimate.
Already did full wipe , cleaned davilk cache.
Im doing anything wrong ?

That doesn't happen also with GingerJHv2
I used GingerDX for a long time, the rom is great, but DX aren't really active on the forum this days. He surely is one of the best developers here and would have fix the cam problem in a few seconds

all gingerdx rom has one error of camera(after some shoots camera turns black) soln is at at -> alamjitsingh.blogspot.in (ONLY 4 XPERIA X8)

first thing i wana tell u all i'm not trying to promote my blog ..i know the latest version of gingerdx is 31b ....and this version also have the same camera issue ...m new user i dont know what are the rules of Xda ....but this model of mobile(xperia X8) now does not exist in market ...mean there r very few people who has this model of mobile nowdays ...and i also dont think they all know about how to flash roms ...the people who know about changing rom all r not using gingerdx........hence this small info cannot promote bolg of anyone ... m just trying to help nothing else

Well, I actually wanted to post a similar thread of my own. I have the exact same problem, except I'm on FroyoPro v2.5. The camera just goes black on some random occasion and you have to force close it and run it again. Happens on all camera programs, not just the one that came with the ROM. It's not really much of an issue because I don't use the camera daily, but if I was to go to a vacation or something and take >50 pictures, I'd say the camera fails about five times.
Perhaps an information of relevance would be that I have a Sandisk 8GB class 4 card. I don't remember having the problem before upgrading to a newer card, but then again I just could have been lucky. The card speed was tested and its sequential write speeds, 512k and 4k write speeds are all amazing. (could each of you who have this problem share which SD card you have?)
So, regardless of this being a two-year old thread, the problem is obviously still there, and there seems to be no solution. If someone knows what all of this is about, that would make my day

Help trials xtreme 2 works great but the 3 when i start i normal and home screen no lagg and boum trials xtreme 3 blabla not respondiing report or press OK.
.... so what is thr problem? Have stock build.prop. and what is a good build.prop for games and market capaiblity? now i have a old market 3.5.1 because the 3.10.9 wont show alot of aps somewhere like 20 per section..

me doesnt work on cm9
i will stick with my cm9 even if it lags like help, and need to update/clear the hole thing.
no i just play it on my lg l9, screen is big enough.
i made mine work on jb today
updated all the apps and patches
then opened the trial xtreme 3 and voila
it worked perfectly
i think it had some issue with some old stuff

doesnt mater i dont use my tablet alot these days, its to lagy and im to lazy to update my cm9 or delet apps i dotn use, and make full with restore only the ones i use. to much work; and i'm still on first acme/bootthing. from first android install, never changed it. so i'm to lazy to update JB. etc i dont want ot take the time to understand.
but one day if i do i hope trials wil work.

yeah i play it on my phone. have biger screen now, befor 4" that was to little to enjoy yhe game now i have 4.7" and its great to play. soyeah thx any way. i played trials xtrem 2 and 2 winter on my tablet finisht them both, was great, the 3 is better but controls suck. they are to close to gether
My phone Overheats from charging or browsing (simplest things) and i always find it strangly too warm in my pocket while doing nothing and the media server takes about 30% of the battery (first time to see anything consume battery more than the screen)
so what can i do and what other roms you might suggest for no overheating and maybe a little bit better ram managment
Overheating is not the problem of the Rom
its the bug frm .201 Fw
And about the mediaserver
There is solution for it
connect your device to PC and search for the 0KB files and delete it
and see the magic

All the 0Kb files are hidden
connect to PC..and tick the "hidden Files shown" in Your PC
and then search it
God i hate this mobile so much there are no good roms or any good stable kernels. All are full of bugs and overheating or touch problems or battery eaters the mobile itself is great but the developing just sucks

im kinda not blaming you since you dont get full support from people like CM and the developing for this phone is kinda tricky and full of bugs since the stock roms are always full of bugs so you dont have a stable software to build on since all your roms are based on stock but still i cant find any good kernels and you guys know the phone problems yourself without me even reporting

Yeah, I think this problem might come from his phone because I'm running ExistenZ rom with no lag it seems that there are multiple versions of the xperia sp: One with some hardware issues and a newer release with these issues fixed?

im not complaining about lag if you can read you can see my problems comes with battery life and overheating and yes i use my phone moderatly but not to the point where i cant hold it from the heat or that i have to charge it every 6 hours
I have big lags on my SP and always low ram memory ( only 70 MB free. I have also problem with overheating.. Even if I surf in the internet or watching YouTube.

There are people that have the problems that you have and there are people with NO problems what so ever there must be a version that had some hardware flaws or something that sony fixed in later Xperia SP's or something because it's really weird that like half of the people here are having these issues and the other half doesn't!
Just a simple question: when did you buy your XSP?
I've bought my xsp this year in the end of January or February sth like that

You want a good fix? Take it to service center and pay the full load for a checkup and repair. Otherwise stop complaining about developing sucking and just deal with the fact your phone doesn't work flawless

Okay i did that already and my phone is 100% okay and stop being blind and look around the thread and see that im not the only special case facing problems and every problem i mention is a one that i didnt have with past roms so please say something usefull or dont reply at all

I gave you one; service center. Anything other than that I don't know there's fix other than a clean install and praying it won't heat

I wanted to know if you guys are facing the following problems with your sparkle V or android one devices too?
1) The Wifi is stuck on turning on randomly & is fixed only by a restart of the phone. Is this a problem with my handset or android if you guys face the problem too?
2) (Specifically for sparkle V users) on the camera part there is dust accumulating & to be specific before you say that I can remove the back cover & clean it, the dust is inside which can only be cleaned by opening up the phone fully. Should I get a replacement through the service centre?
Please help as I'm worried that my money doesn't go to waste.

Running any custom rom? That might be the problem. I'm currently on stock 5.1(rooted and unlocked bootloader) but I'm not facing the wifi problem and neither is dust accumulating in my camera. It might be a problem with your set, so get it checked at the service center.

No I too am on stock ROM & just rooted it. The bootloader is locked
I think I got a defective product. Have you had any experience with karbonn's service centre? Are there any chances they might replace my phone with a new one?

I submitted my phone today to the service centre & I was blown away. It just took 2 minutes waiting time (i expected around 30 mins) & the technician was very cordial. Although for the dust problem he said that it might be coming from the earphone jack & is a "common problem". He'll clean it for the dust problem & install the software again to fix the wifi problem "LOL". I'll get my phone by tomorrow (another unexpected thing).
Still I gave the phone & hope the problem is gone.
Reflash with stock ROM as no wipe is required..

Done so many times man. Even wiped the data many times. The problem comes back after some time.

Go back to stock to stock kitkat and then reflash again, if the problem still persists you may have received a faulty piece. Also try out as many custom roms and see whether they have same issue and making sure its not a hardware problem.

I'll most probably sell it when I receive my phone tomorrow. But still thanks. If it isn't sold in a fair price then I might try the suggestions

Ok so I got my phone & I'm really impressed by Karbonn's service till now, last time my experience with micromax was average as I had to wait for 30-45 mins. just to ask how much would the screen replacement cost.
He cleaned up the dust & flashed kitkat. Till now everything's working fine. Should I upgrade to lollipop as previously when I had WiFi problems I was running the stock lollipop downloaded from the forums.

I think you can download officially on Saturdays from "System updates" . Also, what is the problem with your screen? And yes, lollipop is a little better than the kitkat. Also you can try CM 12.1 as its the best ROM and stable also.

Screen problem was with a MMX phone. I was telling my experience of their service centre.
BTW I've a new problem. The camera makes a click sound whenever I focus through it. Is it too a defect with my phone?
