Generic TPU case w side grips (PICS)

Picked this up online at HandheldItems for $6 (after using coupon code: galaxytab20 for 20% off). It fits the Tab very snugly, has all the ports/controls exposed & has a sorta smooth matte finish instead of a glossy/rubbery finish like other TPU cases.
It's good quality for generic & you can't beat the price for what you get. Much better option IMO than blowing $40 on the Belkin Grip Vue that Best Buy is selling (which covers up the SD & SIM slots!).

The cheap silicon skin I bought for my Tab is on all the time.
Great essential protection against scratches and knocks, good grip, minimum footprint.

we have the same case, but mine is transparent, got it for Philippine Peso 400 ($9). As for the sleeve, it was just given by a friend who just came back from Singapore.

Cool. yeah, they had that one too but I was afraid that since I had the all black Tab that the clear TPU case would be more like "frosted" & make the black back look all faded & kinda off color.
Is the clear one really clear, or is it frosted a bit??

It's frosted, if you want clear you might want to consider brando clear hard shell

Wanted to order but changed my mind...shipping cost for an US$8 case is US$25!!! That made me think twice...will see if I can pick up something cheaper locally...:-(

Keep in mind its generic so you can pick it up on eBay too for probably free shipping. It'll most likely ship from somewhere in Asia though & take longer.

Has anyone bought an Amzer case from Amazon? Gel or TPU? Any good?

I know someone talked about it in the Vibrant forum. Might wanna check over there. I think the person did a mini review.

I ordered a black silicone case as well as their screen protector to try out for the hell of it. They are out of stock so there will probably be a small wait till it arrives.

The cases aren't out yet. They are up for pre order. If you go to Amzer's website you will see that they don't ship until 1/5. That is how it has been since the phone came out cause that is when I checked for it so it is not out yet.

no one has it yet, it isnt supposed to ship until the 6th or 7th last i checked. Unless you meant you wanted a pic of the nexus 1 one, in which case that would have nothing to do with this thread on the nexus s...

Just got mine and im really happy with it. Fits nice and snug too. Their screen protector on the other hand was a total fail. It never adhered to the screen properly and was in the trash within 10 minutes of delivery.

I was gonna wait for a different case, but i already dropped my phone on the pavement and gave the corner a nice little ding I settled for this case..

Amazon seems to be out of stock. However, one of the other sellers had the case in stock so I ordered through them on Amazon. Fast shipping, too - just got a e-mail the order has been shipped.

The AMZER silicone cases look nice. I have disliked the Best Buy case since the day I bought it, but any case (well, almost any case) is better than no case. Anyway, Amazon registered the AMZER ones as in stock today, so I ordered one. Optimistically waiting.

i just ordered one to from ebay, it was cheaper there only 11.99 i think w/ free shipping. on amazon it was 9.99 with 5.00 shipping.

I always buy things in batches on Amazon so I can use Super Saver shipping.

Just ordered a white one from Amazon. I got prime so free 2-day shipping. Gonna get it on Sunday, so I will post my opinion on it then.

I also have Prime (have since it was made available) so I just placed an order for two (one white and one black) and chose 3.99/item one day shipping and should be getting them tomorrow.
Side Note:
I highly recommend Amazon Prime to anyone who uses Amazon frequently. It's only 79.99/year and you can invite up to 4 household members (though I'm sure you can add a friend) to share the membership. The first time I realized how great it was, was when I ordered an industrial strength shredder as a christmas present and because of the bulk the shipping would have been outrageous, so instead I opted for the 3.99/item overnight shipping.

Where the heck do I get a case?!

I can't find a case for this phone anywhere online. I checked amazon and googled it. People were talking about samsung.com, but I don't see anything specifically for the note 2 there. Can everyone just post links of places they got their cases? I really want a case before I destroy the phone. Thanks!

Shop products -> Cell Phone Accessories. Should be 20 pages of stuff
Filter for "Cases and Holsters" on the left. Should be 4 pages now.
Go to page 4. Official Samsung flip cover ($40) and protective case ($30) are there in 2 colors each. Use the 50% coupon from thread at the top of this forum.
Also, there is always eBay, and I heard Sprint stores have cases in stock. My T-Mobile store had no accessories

There are not many US-based retailers that have cases for sale at reasonable prices. I have a slew of them coming through eBay but most of them are third-party and shipping from Hong Kong. I checked the T-Mobile store nearby only to find that they did not have any accessories in stock and did not have any idea when they'd be getting them in.
Samsung.com, when I last checked yesterday, did not have any of the flip covers in stock for the Note 2. I put in a backorder on them but have no received an email yet.
Amazon.com, has mostly third-party accessories as well and it's difficult to find the correct items. Keep in mind that you can search for N7100, N7105, SGH-T889, SGH-i317 and many other model numbers.
Hoping within the next week or two that more US retailers begin carrying accessories.

Sprint
Anybody checked if Sprint has any accessories either?
Just called up T-Mo again, and again, "sorry, nothing yet. Looks as we got the phones early or something". Sigh...I think I got a simple one that should be here by next Monday...from Amazon.com

Well that's lame I'd really like to protect my phone. Can you guys post links to the few cases you are finding? I mean why can't we buy from European retailers sites? It's like they aren't selling cases yet either...

More and more cases are showing up each day. I ordered that Poetic flip case myself last night. Got a notification that it had dropped to $4.95, and there was no shipping cost (even without Prime), so it was pretty much a no-brainer.

Saw that about the Poetic case myself too. Went to order it today and they wanted to charge something like $25 for delivery to Europe Thanks but no thanks. Pity.

I'm particularly curious to know, when that case and the Note 2 arrive, if it can handle the phone inside of a TPU.
Speaking of TPUs, I haven't heard back from Diztronic yet on whether they're making TPUs for the Note 2. TPUs don't get any better than Diztronic, imo.

Wish there was a seidio case out.. Or something like it.. That was a nice case that protected well

It is cheap and is relatively unobtrusive. It is thin and yet, sturdy enough to protect the phone from a drop from a table top. The sides wrap around the front of the touchscreen just enough to give it protection from putting it directly on a flat table top. The kick stand is very useful to stand this beautiful screen, especially for the kids to watch a show.

Another vote for the great body glove case.

I'm really surprised sprint has this nice body glove you all speak of.. I'll have to see if my sprint store had it.. Usually they have some dinky cases that are wayyyyy over priced

2 cases for less than 15

Wanted to get a thin case so I decided to order two from Amazon. One from China the other from California. This S-line case is similar to the J-kase without all the branding. Cost less than 2.50 shipped. It took about 2-3 weeks to get to me. (east coast). It covers the phone entirely with a nice lip over the screen. Very thin and tight to the phone. Seems it could give a little bit of protection from small drops. The one from Cali is called Megix. It cost 9.99 shipped and looks similar to the Rock case. Has a sand paper type feel, not as gritty though. Very nice grip. Doesn't cover the whole phone, more of a stylish, backplate scratch protector type case. Does have a small lip to keep the screen off a flat surface, which is nice. Here are some pictures...

The s line tpu I ordered the black color instead of clear, for only $1.93 shipped, should get it in couple weeks.
Sometimes makes me wonder, less than 2 bucks for a decent case, minus ebay fee and postal, paypal fee, how the heck they make profit selling these?

Yeah it boggles my mind how they can sell a case for 2 cents and ship for less that 2.50 and make a profit. Definitely work the price for the two of them though....Yeah the gray rock look a like case has a good appeal to it. A dark gray the blends well with the phone.

Nice covers. I 'll order one too as the one i have has started to loosen. :/

I use the s line case. Really inexpensive and works great. No point in spending $20 on similar cases from a retail store.

More importantly is why we put up with places like best buy selling the same products for $20 or 30. Cables, screen protectors, chargers, cases, there's no reason why these stores markup these items so much.
I've likely saved hundreds by purchasing through eBay.

I was excited about the case.. My coworker had one on her s3. I really liked it.. And was protected nice.. Not excited now with the design they went with.. Holding out now for the itskins full body carbon case

I got my friend to buy a UAG S3 case, over quality and build is nice. I actually like the new design better, sets it apart a bit, plus 10 bucks off with the promo code why not. I went through like 5 cases this one should be a keeper.

I ordered mine because I didn't like the otterbox commuter. This case looks good and seems rugged enough for my needs. That $10 off code seal the deal for me. I hope this one is a keeper.

For me its the feel and quality of the case. I don't like trendy hip cases. The design is what it is and I still bough the case because I have previously used a case from UAG. I would get an iPhone if I wanted cool design cases.

I ordered mine because I saw a lot of very positive reviews about their design and build quality. Not to mention the design looks very modern. There are only so many TPU cases you can own before they go stale. haha. I really wanted a Speck Pixel HD case, but it's been a while and hundreds of votes later they didn't really care. So I moved on. UAG case looks fresh, while the Case-Mate Tough case looks a little boring. One thing i loved about their tough case was all their silicone colors! I used to have it for my 9700 way back in the day and it was awesome to have so many colors but now they make a few and that's it. So... Pay 47 dollars (with european shipping) for a black on black case that's a little dated, or pay 30 dollars (with free shipping, so 23 euros that was taken from my bank account this morning) for a new design. hehe. I hope this is the case for me!

Well, at least they ship to the Netherlands for free.
Just ordered a black one.
Now I have to search for a way to put a metal plate inside to use it in the car (magnetized car holder)
Currently I am using the Tetrax car holder, but that means a (small) metal knob on the back. This way the phone cannot lay flat on the table. So, I am searching for a car holder which can hold the phone with that metal plate inside. (I once saw something like that, bu can't find it anymore)

I don't know what carrier they use to ship to Europe. I'm in Spain and hot free shipping, even without the discount code. I'll be more than happy to post the info when they finally ship my order. Hehe. I can't wait. ^_^
