Wildfire Overclock

Hi all
I 've wildfire with root access .I tried to flash it with all custom ROMS's, only CyanogenMod run after reststart but wasn't stable, others couldn' t even start after reboot. Loaded kernels ,without OC dosn't help. I only need try OC .Can it be done without reflashing whole ROM ??
Ok done with Jacob Kernel
So far stable on 652MHz .Visible speed difference in google maps
I use the stock HTC Wildfire ROM overclocked @768Mhz and sometimes it just get fkd up when i write messages ... Im gonna change phone asap

My HTC switches off casualy on 768Mhz i think this is too high for any Wildfire
Mine seems stable now at max 652mhz and min 245mhz ... i get like 3.8 mflops and I think thats nice?
Mine works fine on cyanogenmod with oc 768 mhz
i have a question do you have to flash a custom ROM to OC your wildfire?
or can you just have the ROM you got when you bought your phone root the phone and then flash OC kernel?

Stock ROM-my Wildfire is completly "resistant" to any custom ROM(do not boot ,crash, screen freezes etc)

How to..
Hi, how do I overclock? I mean, what app do I have to use? I also find a picture showing the temperature in the status bar - maybe it is also possible to show the speed as well.
M.
buy SetCpu from android market
Mines can do 748mhz ,but if i set 768mhz,it can't boot and become a "soft brick"(use clockwork mod recovery to recover it)
I use cyanogen mod 7 #17
I found 691 to be most stable for every ROM i tried so far. SetCpu can be found free somewhere in the XDA forum.

[Q] 3D Games/Power User Stable Overclock with SetCPU?

hey i wanted to know:
what is a good stable high performable overclock frequency for power/3d games??
Currently I have: HTC Incredible S rooted with runnydr0id 2.1 rom (android 2.3.5)
i have it overclocked to 1.3 ghz max. with setCPU
is this good ? do i need more?
mine is on 1.4ghz via CM7 settings. i think im using the brazilian wax governor from lord clockan kernel. 100% stable, havent had any reboots of slowdowns and the phone is incredible-y ( ;] ) quick all round.

That sounds dirty
Yup. Flash a custom rom. Overclocking CPU is not recommended.

There is no such thing as a right settings. For example, for android 4.0.3 and PROMETHEUS KERNEL right settings are interactive governor and row I/O scheduler and highest frequency u can get stable on u phone. And it's all advices that we get from nikhil16242 (author of this kernel).
