Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app

With everything low i think it works. But please, don't try games on HD2. It has sucky bad Adreno 200.

I just want to know which version of vice city works in hd2
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app

How does it work compared to GTA 3?
CPU/GPU/RAM are not only problems with such games, touchscreen only recognizes 2 touch points at the same time which degrades quality of playability by far (IMHO), but with bluetooth joypad (dualshock 3) is pretty much playable with all settings on low.

You should consider that HD2's chipset in 2009 was good as Adreno 320 today.
It's just old, it doesn't suck. When I had HTC Tattoo, I learned to live without Gpu so now, when I have it, it's good enough for me.

The fact that it's old doesn't change the fact that currently it sucks. It justifies the poor performance, but can't change it.

So this means that vice city doesn't work on hd2?

I think all versions works, just it lags, as the guys said. I personally tried the v1.02 on my HD2, it works, but it is laggy on this phone. Tried gta 3 too, this one works better, it is playable, try to adjust the display settings too, good luck.

Still doesn't work. Tried v1.01 v1.2 and v1.03

I agree with this guy, give up on trying to do HD gaming on an HD2. It has an awful GPU, you'll never get anything heavier than Temple Run to run at a high frame rate, and even that isn't anywhere near as smooth as on a 3rd gen iPod touch (don't know about the earlier versions).

No but nfs most wanted works perfectly on it why can it run gta :what:

Discussion thread for Temple Run 2 for armv6 devices

Temple Run most popular game of 2012 which had some 170 million downloads both in iOS and Android platforms.
The successor of this game Temple Run 2 is available for download but only for iphone and ipad.
The world's most poular endless runner game is back with better graphics and with a big monkey..
Unlike TEMPLE RUN 1,THE new game has got two virtual curriencies:coins and gems..
The temple run 2 will be probably launched by next week..
I guess imangi studios should developed the game for armv6 devices too..unlike temple run 1..
what's your opinion..??
Our device was barely able to play the first one, so i guess the second one will be no go for us...
swyped
armv6 can't handle it properly and they will not release anything which is not working perfectly or supposed to work perfectly
in short: dream on, dreamers!

[APP] Epic Citadel {Amazing Graphics on our little phone :)}

So this app has been around on iOS for three years now, but has only today arrived on Android.
130mb download can be quite a hassle but I think it is worth it. To clarify: this is a game, (well sort of?) in which you can explore a town/castle with the surroundings. It has no real gameplay or missions or anything, but it's nice to know what amazing graphics our little beast is capable of
Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epicgames.EpicCitadel
Graphics are really amazing, screens taken from my phone attached
Oh yeah, before I forget, you can also use the app to benchmark
wow nice pics. do you use the jellybean drivers that have just resurfaced in this section ?
If not perhaps you could try them as see if theres a difference.
I do use the drivers and have as habit when they were posted , i just have all this sort of stuff backed up on my pc so just pull it when I need it.( I still have a Nameless v5.05 backed up with the original OC's In case the new offical rom ended up not as good as the old rom nameless was based off .:good:
Jb drivers indeed, they are pretty awesome

Jellybean drivers don't add more fps instead it lowers it by .4 or .3 in some gpu benchmark app making it slower than the original htc ics egl drivers.

S3 Mini Gaming performance and Battery (heat)

Is there a save way with software to increase better gaming performance?
and now i have my s3 mini on the charge, battery heat is 28-32C,when i play a game its 36C.is this good?
There are always ways of increaseing gaming performance like killing background apps, tweaks and others. About temperature, i think everything below 50 celsius is ok..

Im very curious how long can you play lets say Grand Theft Auto 3 or Shadowgun before the battery runs out? I want to buy this phone but I like to play games on my phones. I use to get like 4 hours on my Xperia Play, now on my HTC Sensation I can only play for about 1.5 hours before I get a warning message that the battery is almost depleted.
I think i can play gta vice city for a couple hours.but the point is the heat of my battery.
I managed to run nova 3 the game from gameloft on my phone but not running smooth and battery was 39c! If i do nothing battery is around 25-29c.
Do you know where i can find the security to move files from my internal sdcard?

How many fps did you get with nova 3? Those gameloft games arent exactly compatibile with our devices although the hardware is strong enough. I played gta3 and some mc4 (extreme lags, around 15 fps) and the device was a bit warmer, but nothing concerning.

I think they dont run smooth because of the gpu. Also i saw somewhere that our gpu has only support for ETC texture compression and alot of games use diffrent ones, now, i also heared you can recompile them to run on etc format, so maybe it was recompiled in a wrong way(?)

As phone gets popular they more games get optimised.

How emulators run on this device?

Hello, i dont have this phone yet but i have it on my list.
My question its how emulators run on this phone? I know tegra3 will have problems
with some apps on EA and gameloft but how it runs on emulators?
I dont mean snes,nes,sega...i mean on the heavy ones
Like n64oid, FPSE with opengl, PPSSPP, mame4droid reloaded or any experimental
emulator like Nintendo DS, Dreamcast, etc.
But mostly on n64 and FPSE with opengl its my question.
Because i want a new cellphone for emulators and youtube...and my current options
are this or motorola razr i
Thanks by the way, and sorry for my bad english.
I'm using PPSSPP a great and promising emulator of PSP and Dragonball Z Shin Budokai or Pes 2012 are lagfree however you have to change the settings to play with no lags.

You can activate the buffered rendering, that will decrease your graphics but will improve the performance. You can also play with the settings of the app to see which configuration fits you perfectly.
You can change your governor to "performance" too.

If you want to reduce the heat, you can undervolt try different combination of scheduler and governor, that may solve your problem.
However, I have to admit that my phone heats up a lot when I play heavy games and charging (with fast charge) at the same time.
