Ps3 Bluetooth connection - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently rooted my phone and tried to use the sixaxis controller app to connect my ps3 controller.
I have tried to do this with two devices and have different problems, the first is my Gemini Devices JoyTab GEM10313BK tablet rooted and running jellybean which will connect it through USB but not Bluetooth, the second is my galaxy s i9000 rooted running cm10 which connects the controller through Bluetooth but gives no response when the controller buttons are pressed, if anyone has any suggestions I would be very greatful as I have been trying to sort this for days. Thanks in advance.

Wow if you will be able to use your Ps3 controller on galaxy s please tell me how, I liked to use one to for gaming on psx and on n64 emulators: )

Probably the easiest way is to do it is connecting the controller by usb to the computer, and manually set which Bluetooth address the controller should connect to.
There's a program for it I can't remember the name of...
@mintiicecream
There's an app or two in the market for pairing sixaxis and android devices in the market, it's quite easy, and it works.

Have you set up a layout profile in the sixaxis app? That's for the sgs that apparently seems to be connecting correctly; the app isn't plug and play.

Gamepad or controllers for dell streak 7???

IS there any gamepads that work with a WiFi only stock HC Dell streak 7 ? Or any xbox/ps3 controllers?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I can say that I cant get my sixaxis to actually work with any streaks. After pairing it never actually detects it.
USB ones dont work as stock kernels dont support usb host mode.
Try a wiimote, mabye that'll work
Thanks I'll try, is there a video for the Wii one or a tutorial?

Yes you need to be rooted to use the sixaxis, I tried the compability checker tool and it says it should work. But after pressing the go button it launches but never actually does the final step of detecting my sixaxis.
Oh ok, well post about it if it works out

I got my sixaxis working, I use a HC rom from dj steve. One tip I have after you use the PC pairing tool to enter the BT ID in. Look at the local BT address that sixaxis says your system is. Not quite sure, but think it showed me a different one then the system about page did. Then it was working.

[Q] Wireless HDMI Stream

hi,
i already got the mhl adapter for micro usb to hdmi, thats working fine,
but i there a solutuion to do this wireless.
i dont only want to stream videos or audio, i want to have the full homescreen streamed.

I think DLNA is your only option there. You need a TV with dlna support.

but with dlna I only can stream movies or pictures or audio
still need to stream the home screen or games

logitech f310 game controller

I got a nexus 7(not rooted) and a Logitech f310 controller, when i connect the controller it works on the home screen, when i launch grand theft auto 3, the camera spin around. is there a way to get this controller to work with grand theft auto 3?

If I was to root my nexus 7, will the controller work?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
There is a known issue with the gamepad layout file that causes this. You have to be rooted to replace the file with the fixed version. It is not game specific as it effects most games and controllers.

So after I root, how do I fix the game controller file, and where do I get the file.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I also would like to know the fix so I can use tablet remote app to use my phone as a controller for emulators. The app works with everything but emulators. I have tried keymapping without luck
Do a search for wireless xbox controller fix. Should be the same.

Hope this helps.

Pairing a PS3 controller?

I have found a few older posts stating that you cannot pair the HTC One with a PS3 controller, but nothing particularly recent. I'm running the Android Revolution ROM that is based on Android 4.2.2. I also have a Wiimote and a Wii U Pro controller: I'd love to use any of the damn things on this device, mainly so I can connect the phone to my TV and play old NES and SNES games. Thanks in advance.
Still haven't seen any info. Anybody know how to do this?

I looked briefly into this about a week ago. Basically, we can't. I think there may be some ROMs out there that support the particular Bluetooth protocol we need, but Stock and AD 4.2.2 do not.

I tried doing this last week. HTC One can't pair with PS3 via BT. I tried it also with Sixaxis... and Sixaxis doesn't work with HTC One.
I did try the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Logitech Bluetooth Mouse on the One and they worked flawlessly.

That was on a sense based rom. CM roms work, I don't know about GE roms.
Thanks folks. Anybody know if a Wii U controller or other Bluetooth controllers will work? Mouse and keyboard are cool, but for old school games I want a controller.

Sixaxsis Controller

I need help to connect my controller via Sixaxsis Controller app... I tried changing the controllers Bluetooth address through the computer to match my Nook HD+, but no luck. Any suggestions? can I even connect it? thanks in advance.

It won't work....something about six-axis and some changes google made make it not work on the Nook HD+ with CM.
The ps3 controller will work without it but you have to have it connected via usb through a hub and cable gender changer.
I ended up just buying the cheap but great Red Samurai blue tooth controller from Gamestop...it works very well and only 20 dollars
Does not require any special utilities to run with emulators and games. It also has a switch for controller or keyboard mode.
got it. thanks for the help.
