Hey every one...!!
I'm a Sony W8 user facing a big prob
I was installing a kernel to my mob, but flash-tool hanged in between upto 15 min, this happened to me first time & it gave me big headache!!!
My mob is not working.
Other than a red blinking led nothing is working.
i charged my mob upto 15hrs, yet when i connect it to a power source it shows red led only.
i tried to flash it but it's not going in flash mod only.
And it is not bricked as sometimes it vibrates.
i can't use any tool as mob is not coming in flash mod!!!
i can't use flash-tool,PC companion,sony update service.
Anyone help me who knows the solution.
im on win7.
Does 'Sony Ericsson' logo appears on boot?

Make sure you have unlocked your BL 100% sucessfully and then flash the kernel.
If you're stuck at SE logo flash original SE firmware via Flashtool.

Then its a hard brick send it to SE for repair (hardware problem)

Or just connect it to flashtools and let it stand for few mins.
It might be possible that flashtools may recognise it...

At last i got the solution...!!!
While i was flashing kernal my battery get drained....!!!
That's y flash was not completed & my mob get sucked.
so i charged my battery by alternate way to charge (as there was no kernel so hardware was not working properly hence no charge.)
as soon i got charge red led prob get solved & i'm on smooth ride now.
Thanks Who tried to help me...!!!!:cyclops:

try this to see if your phone can be forced to boot up..
remove the battery from phone
connect the phone to pc, and when the pc beeps put the battery right away..
I tried it on my mini since it can't powered on a few days ago. and it worked.

I'm afraid your mini is indeed bricked.

Dude its expensive (about 150 $)
And it might not work . just send it to Samsung repair center and they will fix it for a cheaper price .

To me, it looks like it needs to be sent back to Samsung. See if you can get it fixed under warranty, if not you'll have to pay. Good luck.

Hi dheeraj, is it possible that an empty or totally dead battery could prevent your phone from "memorizing" the flashing you do with Odin, so to send the device always in boot loop? I'm asking this since I'm having the same problem that the user who opened this thread has described, even if with a GT-S6500. It can only go into download mode, but not into recovery mode (could it be soft bricked?). I don't know what the previous owner did, but I'm trying to resurrect the phone. Thanks in advance for your help.

thought your problem got solved
no it cannot happen that without battery the memory would be washed out as it is written on a storage kind of device
what you can do is just flash a four package firmware through odin (phone, pda, csc etc. slots filled)
let the phone reboots on it own, after rebooting the mobile will automatically go into stock recovery and will do some processing and you would be done

Are you on windows 7 or 8? If you are on windows 8 you have to disable something... Driver certificate enforcement or something I forgot ...
In order to turn it on, you press the power button. If that doesn't work, then that means something is wrong.
You have to install the drivers for ADB to flash stuff. Install Sony PC Companion and plug your phone in, see if it detects it
