Mobile Hotspot

I read somewhere here the reason we couldn't get rid of the mobile hotspot software is because they couldn't find where it was attached. Well I don't know if anyone has found it yet, but I do believe I have.
It is in your settings.apk in the system\app folder.
I was just fishing around and came across it. I have not played with it but that's where it is hiding.
Maybe that could help someone.

Yeh, I thought it should should go there too. I tossed a coin and this is where it went. I thought being the devs look around here, I thought maybe this tidbit would be helpful.

Ums on jelly bean?

How can I use ums in jelly bean worked in ICS but now jelly bean does not have the option for ums?

I saw an apk to enable ums on S3. Any coder might be interested in porting it for us would be great.
MTP is so slow. I wonder why Moto or Google disable it.

I found an apk for this, but it tells me "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed." So it is already on our device. The only question now is how do we access it. So if adolfo778 will let us know how to access it that would be greatly appreciated.

From any 3rd party launcher go to shortcuts then activities and it should be com.Qualcomm

Thanks for responding back. I gave this a try and sadly it didn't work. I checked it off and plugged it into my computer and it still connects via MTP and there is no option for USB mass storage. I then thought that it may need a reboot, but that didn't work either. It just resets it to disabled. I'm going to give it a try in my car tomorrow morning. I'll let everyone know if it works.

It must be hidden in build.prop. Anyone who backup build.prop from ICS,please attach it here. I'm using Batakang ROM now. I saw there's settings in aditional build properties such as :
ro.usb.mtp: 0x2e32.
It should work if we can add value for ums.

REQUEST Stock keyboard .apk

I really like the stock keyboard on the htc One and was just wondering if it was possible that someone uploaded an .apk file of it and I can install it on my note 3?

If you use tablet talk on gear send them an email telling them to fix

I and others have sent the devs of tablet talk an email telling them the problem with force closes on the app trying to get them to fix it. I feel like if enough email then they will look into a fix even optimization for the watch. When the FC issue is fixed this app works great for texting. please let them know that there are a lot of people using it and want a fix

I contacted them and they responded. I asked people to give me log files regarding FC's. No one in the forums responded to me.

Not sure which is why I asked people to send me any logs they may have. If someone can tell me what to use to log for FC's I would gladly do it as well.

No notifcations in gear

In gear manager I select on left side 'Notifications' then on the right side they are all ticked like email and messaging etc...
But I get none, no sms and no gmail and no stock email from email app, no facebook, no twitter, nothing!!!

I am still on 4.2 stock could that be what is causing no notifications.....
or could it be Apex Launcher.....will try that one,....
So far all I can use the watch is to make and receive calls, nothing else

For full features, you need a touchwiz rom. If you use custom, you get most (limited) features
