Hi
Yesterday I spent a lot of time unlocking the bootloader because it didn't seem to work. But after a few hours I got it working by using HTC Super Tool.
Now, when I try rooting my phone, it doesn't work.
I tried rooting using these:
Android_Root_1.0
DooMLoRD_v2_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su
HTC Super Tool v3
Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18
SuperOneClick
None of them does anything, not even install SU or Busybox
Help. Please

"waiting for device" happens when your phone is not in "fastboot" mood. Select fastboot and then press power button and this will take you to fastboot mood and there you can flash recovery from multi tool. Hope this works this way. Report back if it doesnt then i'll tell you nother way of flashing recovery my friend.

by the way no ICS yet for sensation XL (as far as i know)
THANKS! works like charm at least now it bypass the white HTC and shows the quietly brilliant, now I know that it's not bricked and have a kernel, now gotta find a good rom for him, no ICS for now he should live with it, and the normal sensation ICS didn't work on the XL maybe because of the SDcard being a chip? it says system already unmounted error status 1 aborted.
anyway I will flash andtopix, thanks a bunch again I love you

Hello,
I think you are my last chance, I have this very specific problem with my Nexus One and can't find any thread on any forum that can help after hours of research:
It's rooted and I have CM7 but after a choc (I thing it's the cause) it reboots and now it's stuck in bootloop.
It happens to me once and i fixed it by flashing with fastboot.exe (i was very lucky this time) but it doesnt work anymore and i don't know why.
My power button is broken so I can't unlock bootloader, I have S-ON and I have read that it can be a problem to use fastboot to flash (I have an error message in the command prompt like this: FAILED: remote not allowed)
If i write "fastboot devices" my Nexus one is recognized so I don't understand why it doesnt work...
If you have any suggestions I take it with pleasure!
(sorry if my english is not perfect)
Thanks.

I have the same problem, I also tried all the command for Fastboot and got me no where.
My problem started when I install Darktemor(If I spelled it right) A2SDGUI and press something for Dalvik and Cache, my phone reboots and got stuck at bootloop forever. I searched the entire net for tutorials, and I tried almost everything and still no luck.
I always have this error code at Fastboot:
"FAILED <remote: not allowed>"
PLEASE! Someone help me, I want to fix this on my own. 'Cause it'll cost me a lot if I have someone fix it for me. Please, i'm begging. Help me. Huhuhu
I have MIUI Rom Installed on my phone, i'm not sure with the version of it. Sorry!!
Please help me guys! Super thank you in advance.
Thank you all

I'm still interested, what method of the link do you use? PASSIMG method?
So i'm stuck in this step: 3.Transfer the provided PASSIMG.ZIP file to the root of your SD card.
How do you go to the root of the sd card if the phone is in bootloop?
Thanks!

By putting the µSD in another (working) phone and connect it to the computer, or by using a µSD adapter which also must be connected to the computer.

If you have unlock bootloader or not you have to enter this command on cmd while your device on fastboot mode. Enter this fastboot flash boot boot.img then wipe all the data / cache and you done. Hope it works. Some rom need s-off and unlock bootloader but some don't

Are you rooted already? If so you can try an app called quick boot, you can choose to boot to recovery from that. I don't have the phone yet so I've only been able to read about rooting it.

so it should be no problem to put the phone into recovery mode using any tool like rom toolbox. (can't post links up to now, just search for it @ Play Store)
last menu point "rebooter" -> "reboot into recovery"
Still i'm not clear about the whole odin-stuff. Why would you want to use a Samsung-tool for HTC-Phones?

OMG! No wonder people brick their phones. Odin is a tool for Samsung phones.
Given your actions someone needs to tell you only to flash HTC One ROM's, not Samsung /Sony or even other htc phones types. Better yet, don't mess until you read a Lot more all say goodbye to your new phone.

in addition, i honestly don't see any sense in flashing a custom rom right now. At this moment, there's just nothing in it that will make your phone better in any way. Custom Roms for the One are still in heavy development and they all still rely on the same stock version. So if you got root and want to change anything, use the proper Mods or Titanium Backup and you'll be fine.
Just phoned htc looks like I've got a hardware problem so taking it back and get a new one lol

If i where you id wait till its worth installing a custom rom and one with a good video tutorial if your not clued up on how to flash a rom otherwise you will end up bricking the mighty ONE!
Easiest way:
1. Open a terminal
2. Type "su"
3. Enter
4. Type "reboot recovery"
5. Enter
6. Profit

You should really start your own thread. Answered this one for you already but here goes.
You flashed a GSM Rom on your Sprint CDMA device.
Now to fix it follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44243635
To make your life easy you will need drivers for your phone the best are the universal naked drivers for HTC One
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263822
If installed, uninstall HTC sync, and disable any anti virus or firewalls including Windows firewall. You will also need to download ADB if you don't have it minimal ADB is great
