Hi Xda im new here and I just recently downloaded the cyanogen mod 9 unofficial from this site as seen on Here but when I went to flash it I got the error: E: error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip status 0.
Now I have looked all over for a fix but none of them work, I would mind this issue but problem is is that I wiped my memory before I installed it so now my phone has no where to boot to. How am i to go about installing a new rom? Iv tried to put the official firmware onto it through Odin but I couldn't get past Setup connection. Please someone help! Thanks, GLcentral.
Seemed to fix it myself, Wasnt doing a few things correctly..

Hi,
---------------
First, Unlock the Bootloader, evertyhing is fine.
Second: Recovery mode didn’t start. There was just a black screen and nothing else happend.
Solution: My N1 has a LCD screen, so I had to flash “recovery-RA-nexus-v1.8.0.1-aw” to fix that. Which is now working fine.
i flashed update-cm-5.0.4.1-N1-signed.zip and its says Successfull after the installation.
I choosed the Google Add-on zip file gapps-passion-ERE36B-2-signed.zip. but when starting my phone, I see the nexus logo and the unlocked lock at the bottom and after that it goes black, only way I can get back to it, is by removing the battery, start in bootloader and do a recovey nandroid (so Im back at the beginning at guess, except for the unlock thing)
ive tried with gapps-hdpi-20101025-signed.zip” instead of “gapps-passion-ERE36B-2-signed.zip” because someone says he had the same issue but im still having it, black screen.
No i wiped all data, did a recovery and im back to normal (but still unlocked of course)
Can someone help me out to install GoogleApps and Cyanogen Mod correctly?
Thanks.
Ummm why are you using cm 5.0.4.1 .... there is a way newer version out ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=722798
You could have gotten a bad download .. try this one and also make sure your radio is up to date ..
Visit the wiki and cyan forums and read up about how to install the radio properly if you are not up to date ..
Post back with results

When I tried to install the CM6.0.0 (lastest one) it gives me some ASSET error code 7 and the installation failed. That's why I was hooking one with the old one since it installed perfectly.
I did no install the radio thing.. that might be the problem?
If you have a step-by-step link where I can do all the procedure, that would be helpfull, because everything that I find on the internet, seems to be related to Android 2.1 (like installing SDK 2.1 etc... but I installed SDK 2.2 which I tink its a good thing)
Any link for the procedure up-to-date for N1 2.2 ?
im desperate now and I dont want to brick my phone
Here we go, lastest version of Cyanogen 6.0.0-N1
Assert failed: getprop("ro.bootloader") == 0.33.2012
E:Error in /sdcard/update-cm-6.0.0-n1-signed.zip (Status 7)
installation aborted.
Why am I getting this error ONLY WITH version 6?
Nvm I got it working. Add the remove some line code.
Thanks anyway.
CM5 never had SLCD support.

Dear Friends,
Hope you are all fine. This is the 1st post of mine and hope to get the solution from here. My Galaxy Tab GT - P 1000 often freezes. Previously the O.S was Froyo 2.2 and as the problem started from here one of the friend suggested to upgrade the O.S to 2.3.3 Gingerbread to overcome the situation which I did. But nothing changed at all. The problem still remains. I just bought it only 5 month's back so I really badly need this to run once again smoothly like before. Basically whenever I tried to run something very resourceful it hang's. For an example if I play any games for only a minute or two it hangs and nothing happens. But also many times if only browse the options it hangs and to get all things again I have to reboot my Tab every time. Today I just pressed the button VOL UP + The Power Button (As per the video suggestion from YOUTUBE) and a message showed up and I think the problem just identified there. The attached file contains the the picture of the message which showed up. I really don't know for this the problem is really occurring or not and if for this then how to solve it. Please also let me know the other possible solution to get rid from this problem of mine Galaxy Tab. I will be ever grateful to you. Despite the image already attached the exact one also stated below:

Try flash stock rom, with the "update bootloader" option checked in odin 1.70.

Yup, I hope the same. I personally believe through XDA we will definitely get our solutions.
Hi, i'm not a professional but it seems the bootloader is corrupted, maybe in a bad update.
In the other line say the internal MMC can't be verified the MMC is the internal SD card.
First flash the stock rom with Odin 1.70 with the "update bootloader"option checked and repartition.
ive had mine only a few weeks and its been getting the same way.i rooted it with some kernal and thats it.still stock rom.how can we fix it?

Hi guys,
I just got given an SGS i9000 that was on Bell Canada (not sure if that's relevant!?) and I wanted to root and load a custom rom etc, I downloaded odin and placed the 3 files in their relevant places and started the process, now the SGS won't boot and gives the following message:
E:failed to mount /dbdata (Invalid argument)
and also:
Installing Milti-CSC...
Can't access to ''/system/csc/BMC/system/'
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've tried going back through odin, but the SGS is no longer recognised on any of my computers :crying:
Any help/pointers would be awesome!!

you need to download odin then you flash dbdata.rfs.tar in though odin to the sgs in recovery mode.files below. maybe this will help.

1. Just do a 'wipe data/factory reset' and reboot the device when done.
2. Let the device boot all the way then turn it off.
3. Re-enter Download Mode and re-flash only the CSC file without pit and without re-partition...
Hi guys!
Thank you for the replies and taking the time to help...my biggest problem is getting the computer to recognise the phone, I think when I flashed whatever it was before I've somehow "deleted" the O/S on the phone and now no mater what PC I plug it into the phone never gets recognised...and that means I can't use odin
If I can get that bit fixed, then I think I can recover the phone but just don't know how to fix that...odin was working perfectly before so I know it does, just need the PC to find the phone now!
Any thoughts? I've tried re-downloading Kies/drivers etc but to no avail.
But you can enter Download Mode?
That's probably has something to do with the fact that you have a I9000M, which is the Canada Bell version of the I9000. There are some subtle hardware differences between the two. Honestly, **** Samsung and their variants. It's a pain in the *** trying to remember if the difference still matters any more. When the I9000M first came out we encountered a whole load of issues with people frying their memories and having to send it back to Samsung for replacement. I think someone eventually came up with a way to overcome this, but I didn't read much about it.
Anyway, try getting a stock I9000M rom instead and flash that. As for your PC not recognising it, you did reboot between uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung drivers right? Also, kies must NOT be running in the background when you use odin, otherwise odin will not recognise your phone.

Yeah, I can get into download mode but nothing happens from there...because the laptops/PC won't recognise the phone I can't transfer anything on to it!
I've tried installing a rom from SD card but it fails :crying:
Any thoughts?

Yeah, I read about that actually - I should maybe have paid more attention when I was looking into this in the first place!
Thanks for your reply man, I'm going to try getting stock I9000M rom tonight and have a go with that! But yeah, 3 different PCs/laptops I've tried it on, with variations of with/without Kies...still no joy as yet!
Thanks again for the reply though :good:

Hi
I recently tried to root my phone from this guide: devs-lab.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge
I followed the instructions and flashed this file from ODIN:
Samsung_G930x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR
The file transferred ok and when the phone started rebooting it just stopped with a fault message on the screen.
Now the phone is stucked and i can't get contact with Odin. Odin recognizes the phone on the port but i cant flash to the phone.
The only way i have a chance to install on the phone now is with SD-card, because i am able to get to the recovery mode.
But when i try to install new stockware i just get signature failed message.
Does anyone know how i can get out of this mess ? I know its possible to turn of the signature check, but i cant get any options like this in the menu ..... BTW the phone is a G930F
I would really appreciate all help !
Thanks
Tom

Hi,
I dont remember exactly the fault message because my phone has been sent to service. But i will get it back in a couple of days. Then i will tell you the entire message. But is was something about kernel fault....
The service center says i have to replace the main board on the phone which cost almost the same as a new phone....
But i'm sure the main board is not broken...

Blah that's never good. Though I don't always trust things HAVE to be replaced at the hardware level. But it is what it is. Hopefully when you get it back all will be working for you! Unless it was just a bad chip, failing at the same time you were trying to write the new files to memory?

I think I did the same thing when I first got the Phoenix, and did not research and do not turn the OEM Unlock feature on. I messed up things and through a lot of reflashing and panic searching, got mine to come back.
I since have seen others post issues that sound horrible but have been recoverable. We'll help you try to figure it out once you get the phone back.

Hi, i finally got my phone back.
Been trying different things like installing new firmware by using the SD-card. And also by using ADB, since the phone allows me to install software through ADB.
But no matter what i do the phone tells that signature verification failed.
I think one fault i did when installing the twrp custom recovery from ODIN i forgot to press the key combo and it started up with the original bootloader. Then it got stuck with the error screen i told you about.
I have uploaded a picture of the error message below.
If anyone knows how to get by the signature verification test then maby i could be able to install new firmware....
Thanks again, i will be grateful for any tips that could help me !
Best Regards
Tom

Good NEWS !!!!!
I managed to get the phone working again...
What i did was:
Holding the volume down, home and power button at the same time. When the phone went black i plugged in the USB cabel from the computer.
The error message came up 2 - 3 times but i kept holding the buttons.
Eventually it went into download mode and i used ODIN to flash the firmware...
I hope this could solve the problem also for others facing similar issues.
Thanks to BWolf56 who posted in a forum here. His tips fom 2011 .... helped me.

Great to hear... Good luck from here on out!
This is a good sign not to listen to tech support. They don't know, or mess with this stuff, as much as us!
Happy flashing and hope no more scares from here on out...
