is there anyway to go back to 1.13.516 software? after the update ive been having bluetooth issues....seen here.
after the update i have a major problem......bluetooth resets the wireless radio.......whenever bluetooth is on my radio bars go to a red X then starts back up. The bluetooth also resets......it will do this about every 45 seconds if the bluetootb stays on......anyone else having this problem?.....btw this just started after the update BTW, ive done 3 hard reset hoping that was the issue but it wasnt....verizon CC suggests taking it to a retail store but i had going in there.....any suggestions
Doing a factory should do that as it should reset it to factor rom stored in bootloader. Then ignore the update.
However keep in mind they claim that the update helps fix the screen flicker issues.

ive gone 3 hard resets and it does not put it back to the original rom
Only way to do this is to wait for someone to post it, so far I have not been able to locate it, but eventually (hopefully soon enough) someone will post it.
You might try and go into recovery and do a factory reset from there, I was having some other troubles and found that doing it that way helped tremendously.

Yea i've done a factory wipe....didn't help
I need to do this too. I've only had my X for a short 12 hours, but this update has really hosed things up. I've notice:
- wireless causes imstability: (random reboots, slow response times, system and phone not responding to anything)
- connectivity issues: even in 3G areas web and market fail and need to be restarted. With 1x connectivity txt messages wont go through.
- general instability: screen unresponsive or buttons on screen looking as if they're presses but nothing happens. Cannot wake phone from standby.

So,i found that it was the exchange sync that was really hurting everything. I changed from push sync to every 15 min. I haven't tried wifi yet. But my battery life and overall speed have improved significantly.

Factory reset on any android phone does not change the ROM version.
try a different bt headset. i am using an old samsung wep150 and have no.issues at all. the only issue i have is the spacebar will put in a period with no space if i start typing to fast. and i turned all spell check and punctuation features off.

Hi there...Posted in the Firefly Q&A section but don't seem to be getting a response...I'm probably being impatient but it doesn't seem the Q&A posts are viewed as frequently as the forum itself...
I seem to be dropping my signal upon getting a call. It will ring for a brief second, and then it will go back to the home screen and loose reception, the caller will get a busy signal (didn't even know you could get those on cell phones...), and I won't get any missed calls (or any calls for that matter) in the log.
Subsequent calls have been met with no dial tone, and then straight to voice mail. At that point I won't have any indication that someone tried to call, not even a ring.
Is this a modem issue? I'm fairly new to flashing so I'm not too sure what's going on.
A reboot seems to allow it to ring at least, but only for a second and then the caller gets a busy signal.
This was flashed on yesterday night, and I'm pretty sure that was the first phone call I received since flashing. Tried calling myself from a home phone to the same results. Making phone calls works and sounds just fine.
Also: I am on Rogers if that makes any difference.
Thanks
Have you wiped cache and dalvik cache? Maybe a factory reset as well and then try it before you restore anything. Or Have you tried any other modems?
I have not... Im not exactly sure what I'm looking for... when I do figure out which modem to use... is it just a matter of installing it with CWM?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
i cant tell you which one to try that all depends on your phone and area
try the ones labled I9000 the one in firefly is jk4 fyi..and yes a simple cwm flash is how you install a modem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876391
Just tried wiping caches and installing the JP9 Modem...Still no luck...There seems to be some sort of error that pops up on the screen right before everything crashes but it only lasts for about a millisecond before it closes down...Is there any way to see what that error is? Can still call out and it knows its getting a phone call but it still goes to a busy signal...Will try a factory reset if there's no other ideas
Go ahead with the factory reset ... If that doesn't work try flashing firefly again...sorry
I just discovered this same exact problem today too. Honestly Im a complete noob when it comes to flashing and modding. I just flashed to firefly 3.0 two days ago and i really love it but the call dropping thing is really frustrating.

It would seem the Factory Reset cleared things up... I have not recovered my apps via Titanium Backup yet...am wondering if it's something that it brings back that is causing problems?
K ill try that. Just to clarify, a factory reset will just wipe it to a clean firefly right?

One thing I did notice was that when I did a factory reset (I did it through CWM...should I have done it through Android?) was that SGS Tools was gone, as was Galaxy Kernel Flasher, and some others, but not ALL of the Apps (ie Spare Parts, Superuser were still there)...is there any way to get them back or should I reflash if I wanted them?

No need to re-flash, you can download the apps through the market. Factory reset from recovery or from android will give you the same result.
When u restore with titanium backup don’t restore system files and data only missing apps and data .that solved it for me when I had that problem but my backup was from 2.1 and I was restoring it on 2.2 I was not sure if that was is what's causing the problem.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA Premium App
Good to know, thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I restore
- restored missing apps + data, system data through titanium after having done a factory reset
- notice that i can't change the wallpaper anymore (same glitch was happening the first time around too)
- also notice that my system data hasn't been fully restored
- reboot and notice the wallpaper is now changed and system data is now all in place... however, a test call shows the same problem (phone vibrates once then loses signal, caller gets a busy tone)
- reset to factory again
- restore only apps+data
- test call works
so far, so good!
thanks
Don't restore system data at all! That causes problems as you clearly experienced.
ok so i got my htc one a couple of days ago and it sees to have a serious problem!
Basically the phone goes through stages of random vibrating every few mins to full on constant vibrating like there is a fan or motor buzzing in there. It even does it if the phone is switched off! Ive just had an episode of it vibrating no stop for 10 mins, didnt make a difference when i switched it off or when i factory reset it!
It seems to overheat or something and only stopped doing it after i had just left it for a while. I have tried to speak with htc about it but they were useless and had no suggestions what soever.
I really need some help here, i bought the phone privately and to all intense purposes it seemed like brand new

SO you CAN NOT exchange the phone?
if not... root your phone and flash different rom that should resolve problem...at least give it a try!

No cant exchange it, only option i might have if i cant get the problem ressolved on here would be to send it to htc for repair but can take up to 2 weeks.
when i got the phone it was still on 4.1 and told me update available to 4.2 so i did that. Thats all i have done , apart from unlocking it from 02 using a code.
its almost like on a computer when its being worked hard etc that you here the fan cut in, thats what it seems like except it sounds like the buzz you get when you first start the phone. sometimes it does this just once every few mins or so, other times it will start doing it and not stop...even when switched off.....everything else on the phone seems to work fine

Did the device get wet at some point? Sounds like a hardware problem if a factory reset didn't solve the problem.
There's a slight chance it could be a real bad app or an issue with the rom. Maybe running a stock RUU for your device if you can find it might help.
Pretty sure it hasent got wet .
Would be happy to put stock Rom back on it but not sure how I go about reflashing it .
Don't know if this normal or not but when I did a factory reset I thought the device would be wiped completely, all my pictures and videos etc however when I set it back up again I found some videos on there still that I had downloaded to the phone off the net.
Maybe it's not wiping itself correctly either?

Resetting the device should wipe everything and bring it to the same condition as new.
Go to settings>>Backup & Reset>>Reset phone>>now check "Erase all data", then tap "OK".
If that doesn't work, try to do a factory reset from the bootloader.

Factory reset will wipe the device but leave the contents of the sdcard untouched which explains why your vids are still there
Appreciate the help guys, thankyou
So, is there any benifit to wiping the device completely over and above what I've done allready?
Today the phone has just done the odd sudden vibration as if you were just booting up, around 5 times in total, nowhere near as bad as last night, don't know why that would be.
Would it be possible to reflash standard firmware?
Is so how would I do it. Phone is completley standard and was in 4.1 prior to the ota update to 4.2, could 4.2 be the problem?

IC, but you do have the option to erase the sdcard (storage) from the reset phone menu in settings.

I'd try it. You can back up your pics and music on your PC via HTC Sync first.
Ok so I have tried it but no joy
Still getting the random buzzing/vibration for no apparent reason.
Could it be a bug with the update to 4.2.2?
Can I go back to 4.1?
I'm at my witts end with this now

Don't think it's a bug with 4.2.2 but a hardware issue.
Couple of other things to try ; download "CID Getter" from the play store, run it and find out your device's CID number. Now search on Google or xda for the RUU for your device's CID number. Download the RUU.exe to your pc, connect your phone to the pc and run the RUU.exe. This will bring the phone back to stock 4.1..
Or you can unlock the bootloader and flash another rom. Step by step instructions can be found on xda
Sorry, don't know of any easy solutions.

not sure how i put a new firmware on here now though..going to have to do a bit more reading....
i think to start with ill try downloading standard htc 4.1 rom when i can figure out which one it is and how i put it on and then go from there.
ok so just to update this....
last night i have tried the standard google edition rom on my phone and for the first few hours all seemed fine untill 4am this morning when i was woked by the phone doing its random vibrating thing...it was just sat by the side of my bed on charge
Can only think it must be a hardware issue now...but still dont know what or what is triggering it

You tried everything so it's has to be a hardware issue. Maybe the vibration starts when the device gets warm. Sorry we couldn't fix it.

My HTC one has been doing the same thing. Vibrating randomly even when powered down. Brought it back to Sprint and had them order me a new phone. The only way to stop it from vibrating when powered down was to bang it on a hard surface, then it would stop. Crazy!
Vibrating non stop
My HTC One had been vibrating cotinuously too. I kept slapping the upper part of the phone to stop it from vibrating. However, this worked for the initial few days only. Later, it continued to vibrate continuously without stopping at all ! In the night I left the phone in the other room while it was still vibrating and the next morning the phone wouldn't charge at all! Now the phone is not booting/ charging. It is dead! Any leads?
EDIT: I slapped the upper part again, it suddenly woke up from the dead! It is charging now, the LED is red too!! But it is still continuously vibrating. I have left it to charge as of now, but please help with this vibrating problem. Any ideas?
I've had the same issue with my M7 today.
There were no software updates or any new apps lately.
It all emerged when i was pressing the home button (to exit from some app) and at the same time an incomming call started.
I have tried:
switching it off - did not help
Changing volume setting silent\vibe\sound a couple of times - no effect
Soft reset - no help
Hard reset - no help
Slapping with upper side of the phone against my had - helped for some time, the it started again
Seems like hardware issue.
Currently working solution for me:
Switch off the option "Vibrate on keypress" in Settings ==> Sound & notification
UPD: had to turn off all the vibrations
So far so good. Apparently there is some issue with vibe motor, and it just does not stop. I assume that by disabling that option it is not getting started and thus no constant vibe follows.
UPD 2 Fixed:
Issue reoccurred on hitting the device against my palm.
Had to disassemble it, there are a couple of instructions on youtube, i used plastic cards.
Motor was spinning even with a switched off device. Had to unplug and plug the motor a couple of times and it helped.
Turned on all vibrations in settings, no issues so far.
Hope that helps.
Guys,
Facing a strange problem since morning. Here are the sequence of incidents since mornings -
As usual I got into my car with bluetooth switched on and went to office.
I did make a couple of calls using bluetooth from my car
I reached office, and went on to work
I had kept the phone on my desk in front of me
I realized a call coming on my phone but it did not vibrate nor did it make any sound, I was surprised and kept looking at the phone
After a couple of rings, the phone automatically answered the call.
I just put the phone to my ears and started talking.. freaky, but I ignored it
After that all calls received I am finding the same behavior
I made number of calls from my office phones and the phone gets answered automatically
I checked and the sound was reduced to zero, so I made it maximum
Vibrator doesn't work anymore, even after several restarts
I tried using the hidden mode 3645#*880#, and was unsure how to go about vibrator test, the phone doesn't vibrate at all
Please suggest some workaround.
Note that since last 15 days I am facing number of weird problems most of which got solved after re-calibration using the hidden mode, so there seems to be some problem with the phone. Should I reset the phone to factory settings? I am on stock OS Android 4.1.2, never have rooted the phone
Backup your data to a external medium and try the factory reset like you already said.
If that doesn't work and you don't want to mess with reflashing stock with LG software I'd suggest you to send it to LG repair service.
If you don't have a warranty anymore try the reflash of a stock firmware (repair option in LG tool).

I'm not completely sure and I would definitely remove the SD card if you backup your data to it just to be sure
For flashing the stock firmware/ repairing it search for LG Support Tool (I think that was the official one).
You need to install drivers and the Tool itself but it's not hard at all.

Ok, I can try removing the SD card and use the LG official softare. However, I do not have a laptop using which I can do this now. However, I can still try and get one just to do this.. Thanks for the info and support.
I need some help guys. Does any one have the com.lgsystemservice apk? I was removing some bloat ware and I accidentally removed this last night. My phone is not properly so if only one could help me with this I would be very greatful. For example when texting or just trying to type something it laying very bad or won't work at all. Thank you.
P.s. I tried searching for apk file my self and no luck.
I don't even see that in my system apps.

First off which variant do you have? Second I only see com.lgesystemservice.core.jar and com.lgesystemservice.core.odex which are part of the framework on the T-Mobile D959 variant.
Thank you for your relies, i have d959. The only thing that is not right is the keyboard. There is a terrible lag when comes texting. Other than thatthe phone seems to be working.
And the led light is flashing from green to blue
Please proofread your posts. I also have the d959 i dont find it in titatium. How where you deleting the bloat?

I used nobloat free
ok i am home now... before i was using my damaged g flex lol.
ok ill explain again but this time ill be more clear.
i am on tmobile and phone is D959
last night i was trying to delete some bloat ware using nobloat free from the market. i must have deleted something i should have because i was getting a pop up saying "unfortunately, com.lge.systemservice has stopped" i would tap ok and it would pop up again over and over again and i couldnt do anything so i had to force shut down the phone by holding the power button for about 10secs. once it powered on it poped up again but this time it was just once. after that i thought the phone was working correclty until i needed to send a text message, i saw that when i went to text a word there was a bad lag before the letter showed up. it seems that that is the worst thing that is wrong with the phone. i also notice that there is a lag when it comes to changing the volume setting from silent to vibrate to ringer.
i am woundering if i unroot and do a factory reset if that will fix my problem or if there is a way to download the stock rom so i can go back to stock if that makes sense.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644083
Follow this guide. You'll be fixed right up and even keep all your data. This will restore your phone to stock, then reroot and try again. I suggest freezing apps n the future so all you would need is to unfreeze if you mess up.
