No,not for Egypt. Only for a few European Countries.
You can use the official from one of the European countries, but GPS might not work (might take a while to get lock or not at all), but everything else should work.
It should not be long before more countries release since it's only a few changes that are necessary for it too work with different operators and different countries GPS. If they release you can update your phone with the LG PC Suite (Nice and big update firmware button somewhere in there).

aha thanks alot man im waiting

[Q] Europe or Open Europe ?

Hi Guys, just changed up from my Optimus 3D to a nice new white Note.
Was looking at the flash files etc.
My Firmware is the Europe Version, I think ??
Whats the difference between Europe and Open Europe.
My phone was unlocked from when I got it so I know its not that thats different
Does any have benefits over the other.
Would I be better with the Open Europe to receive ICS first when it does finally get released. ?
Cheers

I like to know this too.
But is seems that no body knows it.

[Q] Which country will I get the update from?

I have a 2x bought in Spain but with the latest UK stock rom and a UK sim because it's where I live. I try every day to check for new updates but it finds none saying I'm updated to the last version.
Will I get the update when it's released in the UK or when Vodafone Spain releases it?

Most probably you will get it from Spain, since updates are related to your phones IMEI and baseband!

Fortunately, all official ROMs are multilingual, so I suggest these few hints to get official ICS on your phone. It works very well, I use it untill CM10 and CM10.1 get the calls right.

I used option 2, for rooting, it works like a charm
Good luck and merry christmas.

[Q] Stable Rom for the 2x?

I have to flash a service pack, but how to flash a service pack?
Thanks guys

According to the above post, the Canadian O2X is called P999 (G2X). Flashing a P990 ROM will likely cause a brick to your device.

That's not necessarily correct... Canadian O2X may very well be P990hn (you can still get it today from Fido), which works just fine with any P990 ROM. P999 is another model for AWS frequencies used by Wind in Canada.

I am not sure what you mean by "not supported"... True, V30 (either A or B) has not been officially released for Canada (or North America, for that matter), but both versions actually work in Canada. V30B (unlike V30A) doesn't have a Canadian English language option, but US English is still there. I am currently running a clean stock V30B, and I am happy with it. However, I would refrain from recommending a particular ROM, as it's mostly a personal choice...

Different, updated, versions of the same thing released at slightly later dates. If you manage to find a website with the differences then let us know mate.
Otherwise, either flash the correct 'Official' version for your area, or the latest Euro Open, or give up them all and play around with Cyanogenmod to set your phone free

diiferences are very minor, such as no tone for camera button on 20b hk, or some region specific apps. nothing major. well, 20A has homescreen rotation that 20B doesn't. anyway, very very minor differences.
How about flashing another update (20c for example), is the custom recovery going to be ersed?
Yep, you're gonna have to reroot and reinstall recovery
And what happens with the bootloader ?? is it going to be unlocked I flash 20c for example, and how about v10 firmwares too?

bootloader will stay unlocked between 20x versions. you can flash 10x firmware with lgflashtool, bootloader will show as locked, but when/if you show 20x again, you'll be unlocked again.
my phone says: software version p88020b-446-92
Is that the open Euro version?
I bought it in Europe from LG distributor, but still i want to make sure.
Thinking of using the official LG bootloader unlock procedure.

[Q] Is there any problem to use a kdz from a country different?

Hi everyone.
I have an LG P880 (LG 4X HD) that I bought in Peru, it came with Android 4.0.3 I (V10b). I want to upgrade to JB to unlock the bootloader but in the list of official updates my country is not listed.
Someone told me that it can be an issue with the frequencies, Peru uses 850Mhz/1900Mhz bands like American countries but many other countries (including those of the official update list) use 900Mhz/1800Mhz.
My question is: There would be any problem if I upgrade using the file from another country?
My phone is rooted
Thanks to all comments.
PS: Sorry for my English.
