KERNEL FOR STOCK ROM
AdrenalinForce Kernel fully based on HP SR3R made by the KERNEL MASTER SPICA:
*Description:
-Ive built this kernel as per kosi2001's thread. Thanks to KOSI for the spread of Knowledge.
-thanks to SUPERSKILL for installing ubuntu on virtualbox.
-Thanks to the Kernel Master SPICA who guided me and gave me some knowledge and the stuff to do this. I have complied this with the knowledge Spica gave me.
-To honour the KERNEL MASTER SPICA I've named my system my PC as hp too and I started working on it following the instructions.
-Its fully based on sr3r sources which each one of us can access and available.
-Built with HP Pro ToolChain which spica provided before a week (Thanks to him).
-I tried first with linaro-android-toolchain but could not really get it working somehow.Maybe I wasnt good enough.Sorry for being so bad in this.
-I got overall better performance stability and fluidity with Spica's toolchain and I have tested with this for sometime now.
-Believe me...I am a noob. I have no programing knowledge. I am nowhere near a master like Spica. To be very frank I have just compiled from sr3r sources. I have no more knowledge than compilation so I cannot answer more technical question. Thank you for understanding.
Changelogs:
-the same as Sr3R2 changelogs.
Advantages:
-faster ,more battery friendly in my testing. I guessed its because of Spica bhai's toolchain. I have exactly used the same things and same way as he guided me....Just need to know why I have to do and what will happen if not....I have no idea frankly...I cant explain anymore
Just followed every bit of tutorial he gave me and that chat with him. Any technical issues I need to say...I am a noob and all was because of the toolchain and its master.

i will test it as soon as u and spica work on a ram hack

I've used it since your release, it does its job very good, fast and stable, smooth also Give me time to recharge for battery report(from current charge it seems good to, will charge now)

Is Kernel 3.0.8 possible for our device with help of Kernel Kitchen

AS I have seen in Andro - Id forum Tj Sir has said th:laugh:t it is possible to port kernel 3.08 from our device.
He has written that

It's possible. But better to porting from vanilla codeaurora, not from other device. We know Huawei X6 (U9000) and Huawei Honor (U8860) is the same brand, but it's from different manufacture. Huawei X5 (U8800) can use U8860 because from same manufacture, the source is not very different."
So it is a request for CK,ABEN and AEOI to please look into the matter and check or PM Tj SIr as he can share how to port the same for our device as I am sure it is not difficult now and I am sure that this will help our team to port kernel.

i'm already work on porting 3.0.8 kernel for our device,, it will take a long time,, since 5 weeks ago i'm still working to make it happen,, always fail but i always trying.. so wish me luck..

As an advice why don"t you PM Sir Tj style and take some help or search someone in this forum who has already ported kernel.

Am I alone in wanting ICS/CM9?

The Jelly Bean ROM's are great, but for me there's just too many bugs.
We have the ICS source now and I'd love a stable CM9 build. Unfortunately it looks like attn1 may have moved on, and all the other devs seem to be just working on JB.

Dude your not alone...count me in for that...if i knw step by step guide to at least to compile an AOSP kernel I would do it now

Everyone is waiting for CM9 but we need a kernel to get everything working propably! Our devs are working on it but they have a life, too. Don't expect sb to do a one-man Jesus show here;D Be patient, we will get fully working CM9 when kernel boots up

It doesn't really matter much which ROM to make - ICS based or JB based CM. Because to make a proper and stable ROM, all you need is to make a stable AOSP\AOKP compatible kernel (and we still don't have one).
PS: AFAIK CM team wont add CM9 support for any more devices, i.e. if they will make a CM for our IncS it will be JB based CM10 and not CM9.

I thought that once we had sources, the kernel would be pretty easy, but then I don't know much about it. Who is working on the kernel?
I also thought that CM would only support a phone if source was available. Since we only have ICS source right now, that would rule out CM10 wouldn't it?

Many of the CM10 ROMs don't have manufacturer source for JB (only ICS) therefore it is safe to assume that our ICS kernel can be used with CM10.

If we want official support we need a maintainer
The maintainer for the 7x30 HTC devices like ours, dhd, desire s etc
Our maintainer, Kali- moved on to Sony devices iirc
If we ask nexx and nk111 (cm devs from desire s) nicely maybe they might build for us

I got time today a little while to observe OC possibility, and attempted. I was in hurry and these days I dont much have time these days so I've not tested what I've writtten, but theoretically it should work without issues:
OC Engine For LG Optimus 2x For 2.6.39.x Kernel
*It's written for 1.2Ghz but it's easy to ramp up to 1.4/1.5 by observing codes.
Devs feel free to use ,
and rippers dont rip codes to represent it as yours.

Thanks wkpark for all these references. I logged in xda after many days, I wasnt aware about yours and harsh's attempt about oc. Anyways but I am happy, about your references and yours and harsh's work . Actually your 2 refrences posted last are useful that's neccessory for oc, I made a long route instead as I din't get much time to observe other files.

I logged in after many days and found wkpark has already made oc available in easy more effective ways and more robustly it has been written
Users are usually don't aware about the real heroes and those such persons are wkpark, harsh etc who has given very much contributions for lg optimus 2x.
So thanks deserving persons are wkpark and harsh as well that users must know

commit in my github is for P990 itself.
But as Topo said, OC is flaky currently. Anything more than 1.2 GHz make phone hang. Need to find where did NVIDIA implemented code for making CPU stuck as half frequency if its OCed.

great can u share it so that people can test! i have all msot shure that audio bug is boatloader related so if some on can compile a cm10 from RC and apply the new bootloader for testing will be great!
Anda I'm saying that because 28e/g cm10 old bootloader call problems v228/e/g new bootloader at 10 not a sigle call problem!

bootloadr is not related with audio bug... and that will never be.
official leaked ics roms doesn't have audio bugs just because they are official p990 roms with the official p990 kernel from lg, i remind you that cm10 is using su660 kernel source, a not completely but strongly enough different phone.

If you read a bit more, you'll find out that the original P990 ICS leak with untouched kernel is also suffering from the same bug. Nothing to do with CM10 or SU660...

I think that the new bootloader and related thing have better compatibility with ics then the old gb bootloader, for sure..
I'm using the leaked ics from the beginning and i don't have a single call bug

I know audio bug is really an annoying bug.
I don't know whether audio bug is related to boot loader or not.
And about boot loader, I won't say its impossible w/o sources but we don't have boot loader sources, neither sources of old nor new:/

I think closing the thread waiting for a release candidate is not the thing to do. There's people that will use the ROM even with all the bugs and the lag, if it's present.

A difference between porting and building, and if he did build it, it will never have hw and will be slow (due to the lack of GPU drivers)

Why so much hurry in making cm9 based roms..Let atleast stable version come..
My suggestion..Not discouraging you..But according to me wait for stable cm9..

It will be as cm9, without difference of driver,if cm9 has driver PA Will also, porting create many little bugs, and paranoid is made to be built i think

This thing you said is absurd. Porting will create more bugs. And a port takes libs from base rom, so porting and building makes no difference at this point, but porting might create bugs as it was built for another device.
