[Q] How to sync windows date and time to sansung note? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to sync my PC time with my samsung note, but I do not know how, I only found " Automatic date and time" which syncs my date and time to my network provider. but the problem is that the time is not correct on my network provider. My previous phone is an windows mobile which automatically syncs date and time to my pc whenever i plug it in to my pc.

You can turn off "automatic date and time" and enter date and time manually

Thank for the reply! Yes I can do it manually, but I really wanted to sync it with windows time, Lets just say that I want to have my phone to have exactly the same precise time as my other gadgets to the last second. hehe.
BTW, I also experienced my phone resetting the date and time when i remove the battery for just 2-3 minutes in order to avoid this. i need to put back the battery as soon as possible when i remove it. is this normal?

AT&T Tilt: problem with time/clock

I have noticed the following time related problem with my AT&T tilt. Yesterday, it was showing incorrect system time: approximately 2 hours 20 min off. I then synchronized it with my PC via active sync. Today it was 5 min off (compared to the same PC), which is too much for one day. I have searched the Internet to see if anybody has experienced a similar problem and could find only that similar things happen when you “lock” the phone – which I don’t do.
Does anyone know why this might happen and how to fix it? I am not sure if it is a software or a hardware problem, as I have installed some software on the phone.
Also, I was thinking to find a program that would run in the background and once in a while, say every 4 hours, would automatically sync time with the network time (I’d rather not use programs that sync time via internet) – could somebody provide a link to something like that?
i noticed the same thing. maybe its a problem with the network because don't these phones sync times to att? anyway i just changed it and it syncs with the time on my comp.

I have the same problem. What did you change? My TyTN II displays the wrong time, is there a setting to have the clock synched by GPS? Thanks!
There is an option in the Phone setting to sync the time from network, that fixes the whole problem of moving betweeen time zones and everything. Keeps my time accurate.

Thanks! That's the setting I had to DISABLE to keep my time accurate. The time on the network I'm on is off by 7 minutes, and that was driving me crazy.
weird thing happened to me today. the time at the top randomly changed from digital to analog! now i cant figure out how to change it back. i did a soft reset but it stayed the same. how do i change it back to the digital display? thanks.
edit: figured it out

activesync

The last thread i had created was locked bcuz an answer was given. but i dont think its working.
activesync keeps turning on automatically i was told to create a server, did, create schedule for manual, did, then delete it & it'd work. that didnt work. so quick goat thinking, i figured i'd have to reset the phone, did a soft, still not working. so i even recreated the server & set the schedule to manual and didnt delete it. well activesync still comes up automatically...did a soft reset again & still nothing. im at a loss as to how to get activesync from automatically coming up when im not syncing and when im not using wifi or wireless internet. its seemingly for no reason at all.
fyi, i have noticed that it doesnt come up anywhere near as often as it had previously. previously it was prolly 8-10 times a day activesync would start up on its own. now its more like 2-3 times a day. still frustrating & annoying nontheless.
thanks for the help.
What is your question?
I too am confused, but are you saying ActiveSync is running on your phone without you starting it? If that's the case, go into your Settings -> Phone -> Time Zone tab and uncheck the "Automatic change time zone and clock" setting. Should work.

Quick fix somewhere to this me thinks so pls help... clock issue and Active Sync to

Hi folks. I'll make this as short as possible. No blabbering.
Clock constantly needs to have the time adjusted. Losing 3 - 5 minutes per week.
Also Active Sync is ALWAYS running in the background on my handset no matter what i do to close it.
Suggestions please? Are the 2 in some way related maybe?
RSVP with any comments or info you need from me... thank you, Steve
in terms of the clock losing sync, maybe it's syncing with your computer or something else which is out of sync by 3-5 minutes?
there are lots of fixes for the activesync always running, search around the forums
have you turned the clock sync off in the phone settings? it could be synching with your operator's network clock..

I have indeed sir, yes. As it currently sits there, my phone says 4.28 and my pc says 4.31! As my previous reply to the other kind person who took the time to reply to my dilema, i don't sync via USB much so... dunno!
Any other possibilities folks?!?!!!

Device Time gets changed !!!

My device time gets changed every time I connect it to my PC with Internet connection. My Local Time is (Tehran, Iran time = +3.30) and we have Summer Time Daylight saving change On March 21st and set back to normal Time on September 22nd.
Please help me to Disable its automatic time changing.
The reason this is happening is probably because your device and the computers think they are in different locations on the map, so the time changes every time you sync. I had the same problem. My comp's regional setting was to Thai and my device's was set to India. Once I set the computers location right it was fine.
Thank you
I was facing same problem. Laptop was on US time zone and I mobile in india . Resolved. Thanks

Fast clock

I have a problem in the last time. My watch constantly just go ahead for 12-13min. I set the regional settings but it is happening again . How to fix ?
Maybe your operator gives a bad automatic time update for your phone..
try to go into phone setting, disable auto time sync and see if the problem still occurred.
Thanks for answer...I suppose that's the problem, but I do not know to find "auto time sync" on my Kaiser.
When SIM card are extracted, time is OK for a long time...When phone is on "flight mode" time is OK also.
which build are you using?
well, since I always use android now, I also forgot where to find it
It was located in phone setting, but I don't know where the exact location is.
but if you sure you can't find it anywhere, its likely you have to install a dialer which has the setting.
My friend once had suggested me about phillux's dialer, maybe you'll find it here. But I've never tested it.
Good luck
