[Q] LG bricked?...i don't really know what to do.. - LG Optimus 2x

Hello...so..now i don't really know what to do. I had Django rom, 1.7.1 and a few days ago, it got glitchy, apps stopped to respond. So i wanted another rom, and..by a noob mistake i did it with rom manager, downloaded directly Eagle's blood ICS. it started and all that. but i didn't stopped there...when i got home i wanted back that Django ROM...i wiped everything and installed it..but when i rebooted the phone, it started with Eagles Blood loader and..when it starts..it gives me this"Encrytion unsuccessful. Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible. To resume using yoour phone, you must perform a factory reset. When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an oportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google Account." And gives me an "Reset phone" button. i pressed it and it gets me back to the same message after it loads up. What to do?

Please Help

Last night I power cycled my phone and put it on my charger. When I woke up this morning and looked at my phone there were a ton of force close screens. I have no phone (cannot make calls) and not data.
I power cycled the phone over and over and have been searching the net all day but cannot get it to work. The only thing that I had done prior to the initial power cycle was a few updates from the market, so I uninstalled those apps, but it appears that was not the problem.
I have root access and was running gumbo's rom (now MaDoCo...thought that would help) and I really don't wanna do a factory reset. Is there anything I can do?
Factory reset is most likely gonna be your only option. If you dont wanna do that, do you still have the .zip for your rom on your mem card? If so, why not just reflash the zip? Might take care of the issue without having to do a hard reset. I am assumingm, though, that if you are rooted you would have created a nandroid backup? Why not just restore?
Tried reflashing the rom and that didn't work. Gonna do a Factory reset now. Lets see
tried factory reset and now i'm stuck on boot screen
Did you ever make a Nandroid backup?? I would suggest you run the Sprint RUU and bring your phone back to Stock, reroot, install recovery, and then a custom ROM. That looks like your best option.
But, just for the hell of it -- take out of your battery and then insert it back in and reboot, see if that does anything.
What kind of factory reset did you do? Wipe from recovery, go through setting, the home>back>power one, or what? And are you stuck at the HTC screen? That happened to me once, but it was because I flashed a GSM rom my first try. Boot into recovery, wipe the phone, and if that doenst do it, I agree with pseodo, time to RUU.
Well I tried resetting from the recovery and wiping, but it will not boot up. Then I tried the RUU, but it wont get past the boot screen in order for me to to connect it to the USB. I tried connecting the USB through recovery and although I can access my SD card via my PC, going through the steps for the RUU says its not connected.
I took my phone over to sprint and although they know I have a custom rom on there (which voided my warranty), they are still gonna give me a brand new one and send mine back through manufacture warranty. It'll be in on Tuesday. Luckily for me I have an online back up through by MyBackUpPro, so I should be good on restoring settings, apps, contacts and all other important stuff. (Minus Root and Custom Rom )
Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate it.
I flashed a new set of icons last week and had a bunch of force closes, restored a nandroid and everything was fine.

Reset Issue

Hi guys I wanted to go ahead and reload a different ROM. I had purehero 2.1 MOC (maps-oced) but I heard that the nonclocked version has better stability with wi-fi. I went ahead and tried to downgrade the rom without wiping and everything booted up fine. However wi-fi tethering was still not working I kept getting an error about unable to start wifi tethering etc. I went ahead and tried many roms (pure hero/alysious) all that wouldn't require wipe. I still kept getting same error. I went ahead and went to recovery I did a factory wipe/loaded rom and it just stays on the nexus X cross as if it's trying to boot but it doesn't it just keeps recyling over and over again. I went back to recovery and wiped data/factory and also dalvik cache ( i have a2sd enabled) then retried loading rom and same thing. I'm at the moment of wiping all mentioned plus eXt2 and reloading rom AGAIn. I hope this time it boots up.
Will something in my SD card possibly have my phone acting up the way it is? If so what solutions do u guys suggest? I hope after doing the last step I mentioned I can FINALLY log into my phone. At the moment i'm unable to do so. My aim name is crown510. If any of u can assist me I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Trouble with CM7.2 install (disregard, fixed)

I've tried repeatedly to install CM7.2 and keep getting stuck on a blank screen. I'll see a "CyanogenMod" then "loading..." right below that. Then it goes blank and nothing ever happens after that.
Some background info. I've had CM7 installed on this in the past without problems. Months ago I went back to a rooted stock. Then yesterday I decided to try CM9 alpha. That installed perfectly. But it was too slow, so I decided to try CM7.2.
I used the same CWM 1GB boot SD, copied "encore_CM72-MiRaGe-02012012.zip" along with the Gingerbread Gapps and CWM. Installed in the same order and wipe data/factory reset.
So I got stuck on that blank screen after the CyanogenMod loading... message. I then decided restore to stock. Installed the 1.01 stock image. It also wouldn't boot up, but I powered it on and off 8 times and it did a factory reinstall and then it booted up normally.
Once back at a factory fresh system. I powered it off and tried installing CM7.2 again. Unfortunately I'm having the same problem again. Ugh, why won't it load now.
Hang on... I might be in the process of making a newb mistake. MD5 didn't match on my SD card, probably the ROM.ZIP is corrupted. Trying again with a good copy.
That was it. It's working now. Please disregard my idiot on the Internet moment. Thank you.
You always figure it out five minutes after you finally give up and post for help/venting.
Been there.

[Q] Get past bootscreen on i9000b without losing data

Good morning.
first of all, I've already read most of the posts that concern recovering the mobile, but here's the thing:
I flashed other ROMs a while ago, the ICS one iirc, then gave up and changed back to stock froyo, followed by an update to gingerbread via Kies, so my SGS already has the stock ROM. Everything worked fine, as expected, but once in a while when i turned the phone off and back on again, it got on a bootloop, and after many attempts it started ok. It also used to crash and turn itself off sometimes, but since it rarely happened, I wasnt bothered by that.
This time, I had to turn it off, and it just doent start back. I can access download and recovery mode, but since I have some things in its memory that I dont have backup, I really wanted to avoid the hard reset.
Do someone has any idea of how to proceed?
Thanks very much.

[Q] Help! bricked + corrupt system?

I've been looking all over this site but I can't find anything. I suppose that it's partly because I'm not sure about the problem myself.
A couple of months back (maybe more) I upgraded to the ICS infinitum rom (blue version) with midnight kernel. It was great - the phone worked fine. Well I'm exaggerating, it ****ed up every once in a while. Programs would automatically shut down and it would get really slow after a while. But all in all it wasn't bad, and it was stable enough for me most of the time....
Then, last Thursday everything seemed to go apart, every program on the phone was shutting down. So I thought I'll just restart and it will be fine. When I did, the phone did not come back on. the kernel would load and then it was stuck on the start-up animation in infinite loops.
Now, to be frank, this isn't the first time this has happened. So I didn't panic. Last time I just used the CMW recovery to re-install the kernel and the rom (I keep the files on the sd card). But this time, I wanted to try to avoid the factory wipe for as long as I could, and try finding a different option, knowing that if all else fails, I have something to revert back to.
Then I did the mistake of deleting the init.d file without re-installing anything. I wanted to, but accidentally clicked on the 'reboot now' option. And then all went to ****. The kernel didn't load. I went to recovery and it couldn't mount the sd card so I couldn't re-install it.
I tried flashing a new kernel using odin, and it did get me a bit better: my CWM recovery can read the sd. However, I still can't mount the system. Even worse, when I get to the infinitum zip roms and re-installing it brings up the status 7 error (which, after searching, seems to come up for different reasons for each person)
Despite installing a new kernel, when I reboot the phone now it doesn't load the kernel anymore, it just stays stuck on the welcome screen. I tried using the recovery to re-install a different kernel, it worked, but the phone still won't start - it now automatically skips to the recovery mode. I don't know if I should try flashing a rom through odin, and I'm too afraid to try anything at all now...
Can anyone help me? Is there any way to restore the init.d file or maybe that has nothing to do with my problem?

I suggest flash 3-file GB rom via odin with ticked re-partirion and phone bootloaderupdate.
First of all init.d has nothing to do with the boot of kernel and ROM itself. It's just like autostart in Windows, so if it's missing it shouldn't cause problems.
My solution is to flash a complete stock Gingerbread ROM using Odin. You can get them at sammobile.com. Then afterwards flash a custom kernel and then whatever you like.
If you need help, feel free to ask me
Sent from my Gameboy Color
Yes! Thank you! That worked!!
It happened again! just 10 days later.
Is the Infinidtum rom ****ed up in any way?
it's stuck on the loading part of the rom
