okay, so i got my phone rooted and everytime i put a ROM on there, i cant turn on wifi. i am currently using the desensed 1.6 rom and when i click "turn on WIFI" it says "turning on wifi" and does nothing. please help!

Hey guys I soft bricked my tab last night. What happened was I was getting an error trying to update so like a bonehead I decided to flash_image through terminal. All looked ok so I reboot recovery to update. No go. Just sits on the galaxy tab screen. Can't get into recovery. Was able to get in to download mode and tried Odin. It see the tab but every time I try and revert back to stock Odin just sits there at setting up connection. After 45 minutes finally got a failed message. Since there seems to still be some sort of connection do you think I might be able to adb and push the stock recovery back on to it? Thanks guys.

Check your drivers. Reinstall them if necessary or even try on another computer. Corrupted drivers is usually why odin gets stuck at seting up connection.

Hi I tried to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1296330 and all went well and it was too slow so i wanted to go back to the original rom then I installed the rooted custom rom again as instructed,but now I'm having trouble with tablet rebooting it self.Even when I press the power button.and even when I try to connect to wifi.I would like to get rid of this problem and try to install Gingerbread.

Oh yeah, make sure the ROM you flash is compatible with your device. GSM and CDMA are very different.
I haven't used them but they seem correct.

When you connect tab to PC and start odin, does it see it properly?
I was Using Froyo 2.2.1
I have rooted phone and tried to install CMW but i lost stock recovery and not get CWM also.
again when i was unrooting my phone i got error USB Not Recognize.
Then i when tried to restart phone its not starting and even not finding driver in Downloading mode,RAMDUMP mode or any mode and phone is not starting.
Please please help me out.

Can you turn on the phone. Basically does the screen show up?
If you haven't got the drivers installed on your computer then get them from Google and use Odin to flash remember to disable modems in devices and printers in cp and terminate kies it u have installed it

Hello guys,
So i flashed CM 10.1 on my Sony Xperia Z but i have a problem. All of a sudden the phone crashed and when i rebooted it, i had no cell reception anymore. What i've done to make it work again:
- Flash back to stock: no probel with cell reception, evertything works but back in cyanogenmod it fails again
- Format /cache, /data and /system with CWM
- Updated to the latest version of CM
- I called *#*#4636#*#* and tried to turn on the radio in 'phone information' (=> button always says "turn on radio")
- restore permissions in CWM
So what i've found on XDA:
Apparently i don't have an imei number when under CM, but I do have a valid number when using the stock rom. I checked some threads
on XDA and they all say I have to restore the /efs folder (or the nv_data.bin file in it). I checked the root of my phone, but there isn't any /efs folder... So no luck there.
What now? Or is it just the rom that aint finished? What would be strange because it did work.

Don't worry dude..... Turn WiFi off and turn on airplane mode.... Reboot the phone..... Nd turn off airplane mode

i have tried steps mentioned but still no network or IMEI, please assist
try toggle 2G on and then reboot.

I also struggle with a lost IMEI after using CM 10.2.
But your trick did not work for me :crying:
I tried to flash a kernel (Holicakes 2.6.35.14) and now my phone seems to be bricked. I can still access the bootloader, but i have no idea what to do from there. ive tried factory reset. PLEASEEEE HELPPPP
Did you flash the boot.img file?

What does your bootloader say your hboot version is?
