[Q] Texting Issues

Strange situation happened last night/this morning...
Last night I had reflashed GV on a cache/dalvik wipe then DreadGinger. I was texting "jane" just fine then all of a sudden i would not receive any texts from her. She had sent me many and I wouldnt receive them, she could send and receive to others fine and so could I, just had the issue between us two.
1. I wiped cache/dalvik and reflashed GV and still wouldnt receive them (except i got one random one but that was it)
2. So then I redownloaded GV and wiped cache/dalvik and reflashed the new one and all is well.
Just thought inquiring minds would have any guesses on what could have caused this. If you flash a ROM so many times can it corrupt it? Or why it was just between me and her?
Lol Ik this is a lot just thought I would ask for future reference and cuz I'm afraid to flash anything now till ik what could have caused it
I've had the same problem with "Jane" a few times. She's using a stock Revo and I'm on Gvolt 1.3. I can't help with what's causing the issue but it always clears up after a reboot.

reboot didnt work, wiped data, and now some issues
got one every now and then, frustrating lol
I had this problem too... its because the revolution is switching to 4g voice and text soon...

how many characters are the text messages? is "Jane" with AT&T? this will happen when exchanging long text messages with AT&T people because of the CDMA vs GSM thing....there is a workaround if this is the case....
They were short and she isn't on at&t. The issue is resolved now though! Thinking maybe it was on Verizon's end....surprise surprise lol

Yeah, I couldn't get a text delivered to "Jane" once for a week... Verizon doesn't take kindly to these femanons...

Can anyone give me Jane's number? I've been lonely these last few nights.
Also, I've experienced similar issues in the upstate SC area.

No internet connection after official ICS update

Guys,
I just installed the official ICS update using HTC sync. My phone was completely stock. After the update, it cannot connect internet using mobile network even though I have strong 4G signal. Do you guys have any idea what is going on?
Thanks in advance.
Sounds like your apn got messed up go to your apn and restore defaults and then reboot see if that helps

I did that several times and even reflashed the update but none worked. Called att, apparently my data plan was for my old phone, Blackberry...
Weird though, before the update the internet was fine.
Yes it is glad you got it fixed

Yeah, you're lucky it worked before..

[Q] No 4g cm10?

My previous install of cm10 everything was fine. I went off to spring break where in my drunken state boot-looped it and just cut my losses and used the RUU to go back to stock. I reinstalled everything and the only problem is there is no 4g or even 3g now, what do?
You lost your APN settings

(Q) jellybean MMS straight talk

Hey everyone,
I was curious if anyone else had issues with MMS on jellybean and straight talk with at&t in the U.S. Ever since I updated I cannot send or receive MMS. I figured it's either jelly bean or straight talk. Straight talk is no help and LG says it's my network (I've changed my apn numerous times). It worked fine on ICS.

You can go back to ICS, check network settings (apn, etc...), upgrade to JB and check if everything match between versions. If not, change them manualy acording with ICS.
It's just an idea... I don't have problems with MMS, straight talk never tried.
I like jellybean for the most part. Only issue is the MMS .....and straight talk throttles me to literally below dial up speed.
I'm just trying to see if anyone else has this problem and if there's an easy fix before I roll back to ICS.

Depending on your network provider, you can fix it using SIM Card Tool. But depends on the provider options...

[Q] LG G Flex Text Message Sending Lag

My LG G Flex running on the AT&T Network has a weird issue going on and im wondering if anyone has the same issue. Its a D950.
Not every time, but sometimes when a send a text message is will sit at sending FOREVER, like a full minute. I can receive text messages during this time just fine, and if I send more messages they sit at sending until eventually they all send at the same time. Did not happen with my last phone.
Anyone have any insight?
No but i am on tmobile version

I'm thinking about just trying a factory reset.. But I'm just kind of doubting it will fix it in my head so I haven't done it yet.
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
A minute is forever? Hehe. I noticed it on my T-Mobile Flex today. I was in the basement though and didn't think much of it.
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
Seems like forever.. I guess this phone is kind of disappointing me and I'm having a little buyers remorse.. And I just want the issue to be fixed.
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
Seems like a minor issue. Good thing you don't have Sprint. LoL. Maybe KitKat will fix it but I would just return it if I wasn't happy.
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
I have the same issue with mine. I have done the factory reset a couple times and it always comes back. it is as if the phone looses its "Handshake" with the tower while switching from LTE to non-LTE and such. I have had mine sit at sending for over 5 mins a couple times....
I contacted LG and all they said was to clear cache in the messaging app and if that doesn't work to send it to them for a software reload... Sigh..
Schollianmj do you have a d950 on AT&T?
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
doesn't happen to me on T-Mobile; probably your carrier
Not the phone, its network related... ive gotten this occasionally on the last 4 phones ive had...
The last couple hours been switching my Sim from one phone to another and it does it with the G Flex, not with my note 2

Does using a different messaging app fix it?

I have noticed it. I also noticed it on my Optimus G. Not sure if it's an LG or AT&T thing, but it can be frustrating, even if it is infrequent.
