[Q] Chainfire 3D on KFHD 7" - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone of you tried to install Chainfire 3D with root permission on 7" Kindle Fire HD?
I was wondering that can be possible just like on the old Kindle Fire. I was able to run some tegra games on the pervious version of Fire.
My KFHD is rooted and I could avle to download and install the Chainfire 3D apk, but it keeps saying that i don't have superuser access to the system...
So I'm stucked right here...
Any help would be appreciated

I have it installed, the pro version

I got the Pro Version too, but how did you manage to run on KFHD?
Is the market enable you to install tegra games or you just upload it to the device and install it from sdcard?
And another question: how do i know if i'm still rooted after 7.2.3 update?

After re-rooted my device, i could manage Chainfire 3D to work.
Enabled nvidia plugin, and i could start Pinball HD for Tegra.

If you install Google Play http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069329 Chainfire 3D is an easy install.
Just search Google Play for Chainfire 3D and choose Install.
You, of course, must first have Root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069117

Open the app.
In the application it would be given a link toXDA thread of chainfire. Open it. download the plugins from his xsa thread and load them from the application.
Just make sure you're not on jelly Bean as that will cause you a boot loop

Yes the Play Storewold probably be the number one reason everyone roots. There are thousands of apps and a lot of them are free!! Unlike the sorry Amazon store. There are many other things you can do when you root as well, such as: speed your kindle up, change to a different ROM, custimize basically everything and the list goes on and on and on.. you get the point. You better just make sure you do your research and then research some more.. it really helps with understanding this hole root thing.. here's a great link that someone provided to me when I first started and I bricked my device..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552547:good::good:

If you read that LINK I posted it tells you that it is very very hard to totally brick your device which is true, TRUST ME lol. I have change a lot on my Fire and have been in a few "brick" situations, but you take a deep breath and figure things out. Aptoide is great but some of the apps won't work unless you change the permission settings and therefore you need to be rooted...

You can tweak it to make it run best, put live wallpapers, change the default launcher and more. Use my tweaks and have more than 7700 in antutu benchmark and play gta 3 like in the nexus 7 (mp9engine and other tweaks do this possible), install chainfire for best gaming too

slg1986,
This is a great question, I had to take a moment and put in our 1 cent.
Why should I leave the Kindle Stock:
Pros -
1. The Kindle will remain stable since you are unable to perform any modifications
2. You get custom Ads based on your purchasing behavior - some people do like this feature
3. Restoring is very easy from a Factory Reset
4. No need to buy backup software, the Kindle is Backup to the Amazon Cloud
5. You received full Amazon Support
6. Warranty remain valid no chance of invalidating the warranty
7. Everything is integrated, no need to spend time customizing
Cons -
1. You are stuck with the Factory Carousel
2. You can not customize the Kindle
3. You can not choose an Alternative Video Provider
4. You can not choose an alternative Book Provider
5. You are stuck with ads whether you like them or not
6. You are stuck with Amazon Apps Store so most Apps cost you $$
7. No custom Launcher
8. No way to sync Ubuntu One MP3's
9. Much more.......
Why should I Root The Kindle -
Pros
1. Fairly Easy to Root
2. You can change the Lock Screen
3. You can change the Wallpaper to Anything you like
4. You can eliminate the Kindle Carousel
5. You can change the Icons to match you mood
6. You can sync you Apple iTunes to the Kindle
7. You can install Flash Support
8. You can view YouTube
9. You can use the Google Apps
10. You can install Movie players like MX Player and VLC
11. You can create on the Kindle
12. Very hard to damage the Kindle and Brick it
13. You can install a wide array of Internet Browsers
14. You can change the Camera App
15. You can install Graphic Editing Software
16. Soon there will be a wide array of custom ROM's available
17. You can remove the Amazon Garbage that slows the Kindle down
18. You can add tweaks like Persano Tweaks
19. Much More.............
Cons
1. You can void your Warranty if not careful
2. Some people find Rooting the Kindle Difficult
3. That is all I can think of at the moment.................
At the moment, are there any custom roms being developed for the Kindle Fire HD 7"?

obscurehaven,
Yes, there are a number of developers working on different projects, by Mid 2013 we will see a few CM10 ROM's, AOSP ROM, Ubuntu ROM and a few others I am sure. Development is going slow due to some backend issues around the Kindle HD 7".
The Kindle Fire 2 has a solid CM10 ROM already developed and another person is working on a AOSP ROM, I am sure there is more.
The Kindle Fire 8.9" has a solid developer working on CM10 and another working on AOSP. Again, I am sure there are other developers.
These are the one I know about, there are plenty I do not know about, more to come..............:good:

Amazon Kindle not working, Fire HD 10 (2017)

Hello,
I have a brand new Fire HD 10 (2017), 5.6.0.1, rooted. The stock Kindle app got updated via Google Play and will not run. I've uninstalled the Kindle app and installed the Google play version. I have also deleted all apps with "kindle" in their name and then installed the Google play version. Neither attempt worked.
How can I get the Kindle app working?
Thanks in advance!
