HELP phone briked

Hi there i have a SGS which was running ics on a custom rom working fine
I then wanted to flash the official 2.3.6 os back on it for a friend.
I put the phone into download mode then odin did'nt do anything so i turned it off
now i can't see anything on the phone when i turn on the power key please can i do anything?
Check your drivers on your labtop and retry to put the GS in download mode
Try going in recovery system and do all three wipes...

I've got a better solution and with it your phone will never be bricked in the future.
But you can use it only if you are handyman.
Follow this thread :

and your phone will resurect and will be immortal ^^( manner of talk, if you drop it from the 51 floor of a building it will not survive).

just out of curiosity could i give it to samsung and will they detect that it has been rooted?
BTW i installed a I9100 flash file on to the odin when i did it which was samsung s2 flash file now i realise what went wrong
Me being a **** head and installing the wrong file.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

1-Remove battery, sim card and sd card
2-wait 3~4 minutes
3-put your charger on galaxy (i lost my charger, used the usb cable and worked)
4-Hold power, and at the same time (dont release power), put battery, press vol.down and home button (in this order)
5-keep holding the buttons for 5~10 seconds
your galaxy must be online again..

It's easy you just have to make a bridge between two connectors (OMX5 and OMX0) and after you flash a software. If this manipulation can make my phone like a survivor i can do it ^^
---------- Post added at 12:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:58 AM ----------
Don't worry about that the GS2 has a counter who is incremented when u flash a non official software it's a trick that the constructor used to help the Samsung's technicians to know if you can use the guarantee or not but the GS1 isn't equipped of this system, then it doesn't matter.
so @drakester20 are u saying that i can give it samsung and they wont know and charge mer nothing?

yeah dude.. they wont know ur binary resets anyway.. if u had sgs2 then they could have figured it out in download mode coz there it is written in download mode..
u can give it a try though...
@drakester20 so what did u tell samsung when your phone got briked.
Just found found out that my phone still has warranty till the end of next moth.
What should I say to them?
Should i say i used samsung kies to update then a failure message came on my screen ?
What should i say as I am running out of time and my warranty is nearly about to go?

[Q] I9305 stay on logo , problem with mount EFS. How to repair it?

Hello everyone
I've got problem with my I9305 lte. I bought it from my friend. It was working fine till my friend try to root phone with software dedicated to i9300. Galaxy right now stay on logo , goes in recovery mode and download mode. In a photo you can see cause of this thread.
I tried to flash oryginal software by Odin. Everything looks fine. Odin doesn't see any error. Galaxy still stay on logo with red error in recovery mode. I don't have backup with EFS folder... If it help i9305 is from vadofone Germany.
Could anyone help me ?
RIP, motherboard replacement is needed now
Does anyone have more positive idea ? Phone is like new , near 2 mounths of use...
Motherboard replacement....
Is that more positive??
And next time, read everything you can before you stuff around with something! Damn, the first thing I did was backup my efs folder :banghead:
I found this. I'll try it tommorow when I'll come back home. : alliance-rom.com/community/wiki/imei/
I was looking for motherboard for i9305 on ebay etc. but there is nothing...
So you have no backup of the efs folder, a phone that won't boot properly, and you obviously didn't read your link properly either.
Good luck, enjoy buying a new phone

Could you post a fix mate on how you sorted your problem? I have an S3 with the same issue - failed to mount efs. I have a back up of my efs folder on my PC.

I should begin with explaining my problem first.
The phone would not boot, charge or show any signs of life.
I had another S3, so i swapped the battery over and to my surprise it came on.
Luckily i could boot into download mode.
Moving onto how i sorted it.
First i went here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33048706&postcount=1
and downloaded, extracted and flashed the Param_Bin_I9305.zip .
I then went here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023527
and flashed all 3 sections (phone/pda/csc)
and hey presto all was sorted.
Hope this helps and if i can be of any more help or i have omitted something please ask

Thanks for the quick reply mate. Will this work on my International GTi9300 do you know? Sorry I should have said that earlier. I've had all previous versions of the Galaxy models and never got a problem like this.
One guy above says a new motherboard is the only option, I left mine in for repair and because the custom binary was at 2 the warranty was Void. So they quoted me €150 just today. I can't afford that at the moment. But after so many searches here on XDA, it seems some people with the same issue as myself have managed to fix it. Thats why i am a bit sceptical, because I have my EFS folder backed up. Maybe it might work.
I should have my phone back on Monday so if you think this will work on mine I will give it a go and let you know?
Really appreciate the help.
Sorry to hear about your problem.
I did this on a I9305 which is very different to the standard I9300.
These files and methods i used are **ONLY FOR THE I9305***
The only reason i had the problem in the first place is that i flashed I9300 software onto a I9305.
Sorry i cant be of any more help but i am sure if you head over to the i9300 q+a section, someone is bound to know what you should do.
PM me with your exact issue and what you messed up on and i will try and see if i can find some helpful info
ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard bricked meaning its completely unresponsive?
Try getting into Download Mode the normal way, if that didn't worked ... remove battery press the key combinations for getting into download mode, insert battery and wait. if worked, flash a Stock ROM via Odin. Anyways if it didn't worked, then well .. maybe Service Center it is.
Go to ur created post on daily mobile forum, answer is ready, I told u adb will work and it is ,, get ur phone live again, check the pm

WRONG SECTION!
To be lazy it's NOT ALLOWED on XDA forums! FIRST READ RULES and then read the posts completely ten times and finally read it again!!! ...and if you understand them, you'll try any modifications
Are your device a available warranty yet? send it to the technical service
...if not, you can say goodbye to your phone

Bro, try to follow the guide. Just pressing Vol Down+ Power+ Home button is completely different from preparing your odin, removing battery, connecting phone to computer, inserting the battery and pressing Vol Down+ Power + Home button. This method can, in the best case scenario, force open Download Mode. Give it a try! You have nothing to lose but something to gain. If this doesn't work, guide also provides details on USB Jig which is your last option. Hope I helped

The USB Jig method is just working for softbricked (it can boot, but looping) phones but can't go to recovery or download mode. So, it's not working for hardbricked phone

what you should do is go through the sticky threads in the general section and this section before you start messing around with that phone again
But the sticky note is for an soft-bricked s3 mini... Mine is hard-bricked

So, if you press the power button, the phone don't turn on?
That's right. I also tried the 3-buttons but nothing works, not a single vibration. Even my pc won't recognize it
What happen if you charge the phone?
Nothing, the screen remains black. I tried the usb-cable on pc, a usb charger and the cable... but nothing works
