Hi,
I have a problem with my xperia x8. I was using minicm10 and during this i got rid of debugging on notification every time i connected the phone to usb so i turned off the debugging. The problem started now when i wanted to change the rom and kernel because of minicm10 being really slow. I connected the phone and flashed the kernel to the stock and when i turn the phone on it stops booting on "sony ericsson" sign and doesnt go any further.
I think that it happens this way because i have the usb debugging off but i cant change it cause i cant turn on my phone. SEUS says that everything is ok with it and there is no update for my phone.
So i ask if there is any other option for enabling debugging on in my situation or method for changing kernel so to make it work.
Please help, i dont want to go to the service.
You can repair with SEUS. It will download the 2.1 ROM and flash it directly to your phone. zi'm not sure whether the bootloader is locked again though. And did you format /system, /data and /cache before flashing stock kernel?

Hi all!
this weekend I flashed my phone with the 015 baseband (using flashtool) and rooted my phone using superoneclick.
I had no problems with all this, and my phone works perfectly, except when I connect it to USB and mount the SD. Everytime I do this, the phone connects ok, I can see the card in my PC and all, but after a minute, the phone either crashes or reboots itself.
I haven't installed any ROMS yet, just flashed and rooted...
I don't know if there's any more info I can give you guys.
thanks a lot!
Use seus to flash system and anew root.I think this help.
I used to have this issue. After I rooted, I couldn't connect my phone to my PC otherwise it would crash after a while.
I'm not sure if this was becuase of root, or because of Debugging Enabled. Try turning off Debugging in Application settings.
I don't plug mine into my PC anymore. I just use my card reader in my laptop.
Hello everyone. I upgraded my xperia x8 android 2.1 to 2.3.7 . The phone was perfectly working. I then installed xrecovery from the zip file I downloaded. I then entered into recovery mode and tried to restore the earlier backup i made before upgrading. The process wasn't successful with the message, no backup file found. I disabled the usb debugging mode and rebooted. Now the phone stucks at the SONY ERRICSSON stratup logo. I can't use adb shell, as the usb debugging mode is disabled and connection to the pc is failed. I tried to update through SEUS but the pc finds the phone and at once gets disconnected. I also tried flashtool, the flashing completes within 6-7 seconds but the phone is not alive. Please help me if any body knows how to solve it.
Thankyou
I suppose You can't enter into recovery too?
If you have stock kernel, go to pc companion > support zone > phone software update > repair phone
but your battery must be at least 50%, otherwise repairing wouln't even start
My Xperia TX work normally on my rooted official rom
But after I flash this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439557
My phone can't start anymore I can't even see the boot logo or access into cwm just the black screen :crying:
The only thing My phone can do is press volume+ when connect usb ,then the led will appear
I ever heard someone said it's fastboot or something but I dont know how can it help me fix my phone
Hope for someone help
Edit: Now my phone even worse the phone keep connecting to pc then said "usb cant be recognize" then disconnecting
and do again in a loop T-T
You flash a custom kernel to a locked bootloader and wonder why it breaks your phone....
Flash a stock kernel in flashtool or repair using flashtool or repair using pccompanion
EDIT
In future make sure you read the instruction on the OP, it clearly states in the requirements that an unlocked bootloader is needed.
Thanks bro
I really need some help here since I'm out of ideas.
WHAT LED TO MY PROBLEM:
I have had custom rom with custom kernel and everything on my x8, however one day after i changed SIM, i couldnt see anything in the notification bar which means no battery icon, no clock or anything. i could open it though and it WAS there.
So i restarted the phone again but this time it was bricked.
THE ACTUAL PROBLEM:
I used SEUS to recover the phone to stock and remove the brick however now the usb debugging doesnt work so i cant root my phone.
I go to settings and turn on USB Debugging and when i connect it to my PC, every program that i open says that the phone is connected with USB Debugging off. Restarting the phone didnt fix the problem...
I need help here since i dont want to use the Stock firmware, cuz IT SIMPLY SUCKS. Youtube isnt working and the UI is discusting (if you know what i mean)...
What should i do?
Check out the drivers that if they are installed properly or not....or else try to re-install your phone drivers

I uninstalled SEUS, then i went to device manager and uninstalled the drivers there. I rebooted and then installed drivers through the installer included in flashtool. Then i connected the phone to pc and it said that the ADB interface driver was installed. I opened flashtool but it still says USB Debugging off....
EDIT: Now i disconnected the phone and flashtool got messages saying that the phone is NOW connected in usb debugging mode, also says that busybox is installed.
EDIT 2: Fixed the problem, I had Bluestacks App Player running -.-

Hi guys,
So I'll tell you the whole story here. I was on Lollipop, fully rooted with working XZDR recovery but phone seemed laggy so I decided to give it a full format with the newer firmware. So I backed up everything. Booted into recovery. Formatted the whole phone, then took out the SD card to load on the zip file from the PC. On inserting it, it wouldn't be detected so I tried to reboot into recovery using the inbuilt option but forgot that recovery too would have been deleted. Since then its just stuck on the Sony logo. It reboots by keeping the Power button and Volume Up pressed, but to no avail. I tried to flash the image using Flashtool but it doesn't recognize the phone when I try to connect it in Fastboot using the Volume Down during Reboot method. Nor do I get a blue LED on the phone. I guess it isn't entering Fast boot.
Please help out since its my daily driver. Help appreciated. Thanks
Oh hey guys managed to restore using Flashtool. Tried booting phone into Flash Mode again and idk how it worked this time. Breathing a sigh of relief.
Could you please explain in detail how did you managed to get out of bootllop....it seems i sucked exactly like you & now clueless....
First of all, try repair it with Pc Companion. If that doesn't work, try with flashtool.
Keep in mind, to enter flash mode, press volume down button and insert usb cable.
tried PC companion & got error 2003 (Unlocked Bootloader & rooted wont work it seems)
Flashtool, will give a try again....
As of now, i am able to go to the fastboot & can open files on my PC when connect phone via USB cable....
Phone not booting up normal/recovery mode....It just stucked with boot loops
Tried flashtool---Ended up with errors as attached pic
As i cant bootup my phone...USB Debugging option cant be ticked
I was running SlimLP (unofficial) while bricked my phone....
Anything on that please....

Try installing Flashtool ver 0.9.10.2beta4 - you can see in this tutorial section #5: Device connected with USB Debugging off, ergo you dont have to have USB Debugging on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-stock-roms-t2240614

Not sure what you mean....... all I can say is, Flashtool 0.9.10.2beta4 does not require USB Debugging to be turned on to work and I definitely didnt turn USB Debugging on before starting the root process. Later yes but not before.
Try it or not, thats up to you.....
