I did unlock bootloader and it shows S-OFF on bootloader screen... when i check using ROOT CHECKER PRO it shows that "root access not properly configured or was not granted - super user appplication not installed."
What should i do?

are you wanting stock or custom?
stock make sure you have root and have proper su access. then follow my guides in android development for ext3 creation and increase internal memory. you may use any data2sd script found in threads as they should all work. best version is found in my rom thread.
custom already has proper SU access.
see here to get increased internal >http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565898
Please note next time use the search function as these guides are already in place..

according to that no. but why use root checker lol. your best option now is to wipe everything in recovery and start again

eh?
im assuming you want root in stock.
turn off the phone and remove battery. insert battery and while holding the volume down key turn on.
wipe the current rom in recovery
ie wipe data/cache/davlik
reboot
once rebooted turn off the phone and remove battery. insert battery and while holding the volume down key turn on.
goto recovery menu from HBOOT.
flash root.zip if you haven't got root access.
reboot
once reboot open Superuser and update the binary in settings.
you will need ext3 created by this point so if you haven't get cracking!
trun off the phone and remove battery. insert attery and while holding the volume down key turn on.
flash the data2sd script you want for increased memory.
reboot and check settings/storage.
if this has failed then redo all previous steps (Not ext3 creation but check to see if you have done it properly).

I own one of those XTC Clip's if you are not one of the other 9 people who could get one, My advise if you want to take this phone up a level then purchase one.
First off create the gold card via the XTC Clip, this way it produces 2 files on the micro sd card which are needed for that phone connect the phone to the clip with that gold card in your phone, once done it will flash the phone for you and in one neat package it will also allow you s-off your phone, from that phase you can then download the following file http://www.mediafire.com/?yfsm6wk2lgyxj9s
once your phone is back to normal copy that file to your new gold card and boot into the bootloader and it will install that for you, you should then have custom recovery, now backup your existing rom, otherwise it is a real pain to get back if you don't like the custom firmware you choose after, I know first hand. I will post different roms as i get chance but I am now currently going to start to find a solid way to root the uk firmware
ok well this update includes the chance of an actual root with a stock o2 rom,
after successfully s-off the htc salsa, I installed the custom firmware recovery as above, from there i installed some custom chinese firmware but found it did not support google by any means, I didn't backup my original rom so I had a bit of work to get an o2 rom back onto the phone, From there i installed superuser and then busybox, I found that busybox forces superuser to close, today i have tried the ginger break exploit, again this closes super user, I took out the battery after 15 mins, took out the sd card and replaced with the gold card, at which point i installed the apks via the custom firmware recovery tool, when the phone loaded i ran z4root and chose the temp root, then ran gingerbreak again, this time super user did not close, but it fails, so i have then gone back and retried z4root and put permanent root and it seems to have worked. however after trying to install busybox, it just gives an error saying device not rooted, still in testing but z4 does seem to act like it grants root access, still in testing and will update as soon as this stock rom is rooted
Thanks for the report, mate, it surely helps us a lot. Keep it up ;-)

i have successful s-off
root on the other hand is a no
Once everything is working and root is sorted i will post my workings, so there is no need to pay for anything, you may need an xtc clip unless you would be happy testing a formatted micro sd card with the files a xtc clip generates in your phone
Z4ROOT shows as if it has rooted the phone but not one root app confirms, when i installed root checker, that confirms the phone is not rooted, but does state that superuser is in the right place, this morning i had to recover from a previous back up too as the clock seems to be playing up and I had noticed some apps not working quite right after the z4root and gingerbreak tests.

very true with the thread been progress with xtc clip.
I do have to say the root on this phone is becoming so what of a head ache trying so many different work arounds but when i am off for a day next i will test some more options
Does the clip require a battery or can I use the USB cable to fit via pc?

ok diag screen was running, went into the screen and selected DIAG in red.
goto service DIAG 1.00 screen, hit the fb button on clean S58 and then it takes 10secs till reboot.
then still s-on!

I think when i put the guide together i kinda overlooked just what i did and assumed others would be just as experienced, I am off on thursday so will have a play then and see if i can put something together to cover all the steps.
i got my clip weeks ago but havent had time to play with(mostly cause my gf uses the salsa and doesnt have a secondary phone)
but have some time this week and will work with it and also see if root can be achieved
root can be gained already has been try under the root and recovery thread for it.
So from the beginning I updated from notification on phone from 4.0.4 to 4.1.2. Then bricked after trying to gain root acess. Finally able to flash jb 98.72.22. Tried for days to find a root that worked. Couldn't get motochopper to gain root. Tried god knows how many others. Finally got virtual box, imported Root_Bionic_JB.ova and still wouldn't work. Keep coming across su binary issues. The closest i got was with the virtual box installing superuser. But when I trying to update the binary says unable and to send a log report. What am i doing wrong? is it a step im missing when unzipping to desktop? everything goes smooth until cmd gets to rooting, then says failed. cleaning. press enter to reboot and close. Im about to lose my mind! Please some assistance. I sick of failing every attempt from every suggest forum (quietly sobbing )
You need to go back to what has been proven to work. Moto chopper 2. Not to be insulting BUT I know from experience, just BC you can't get something to work the first couple of times you try it doesn't mean it does not work. Period. Now, where did you get hung up on the Ubuntu exploit? List all that you did.

Well, not to be insulting, but it was my understanding that moto chopper would only work if temp rooted or had gained root acess previously? I may be wrong. Anyways, the prob. with unbuntu is thing i guess froze (but still ran) after patiently running it like six hours. Last screen at was installing-reinstalling previous "somethings" but I figured need a system clean and would try again. gotta be easier way. so here is my linux minimal screenshot attempt. running root bionic jb ovf file. noticed where it starting going wrong is
chmod: pwn: operation not permitted.
rooting phone...
phone may appear to.......
/system/bin/sh: /storage/rfs0/pwn: not found <-------Right here i noticed the file path on the phone and it's ---> storage/rfs1 Would that have something to do w/ it?
nothing ever vibrates and reboots in flash. got bad flash or something?
MotoChopper works on non TI (OMAP) CPus that are in Motoroal devices.
Coincidentally, it also works on ASUS Tranformer Infinity (and the Prime as well, IIRC).
It does not work on the BIONIC.
The method that works on rooting the JB build on the BIONIC is one that is based upon the older RAZR method - see http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/16518-root-motoshare-2-old-bug-new-exploit/

I am having same issue. Using Marty OVA in virtual box. works great, no issues w/ samba or USB. Root is successfully run. however.
root checker indicated that I am not rooted and as mentioned above, superuser needs to update the binaries.

Ok so using virtual box the ova Root_Bionic_JB_20130501-4 the fourth ubdate of the orginal release. Now i suggest erasing all superuser apps installed your self and anything to do with them. When it's done right, it will appear on it's own and work flawlessly. No uncertianties about it. Then i've posted a screen shot of the commands with notes to help understand easiest. The instant the command to press hardware key or power/or each volume itself is the instant you want to press it. Now the reboot is instantious kinda itself and gotta be noticing phone unless have ungodly long boot up let me know if the screen shot helped what you were asking.
This is a tutorial on how to root and unlock the bootloader of the nexus 4 without wiping any data!
Note: I'm not responsible for any damage on your phone! You choose to do these modifications and you are responsible for any problems!
I tested this on Android 4.4.3, but you may try it on other android versions, too. Please report if it works
Devices you can root using this app:
- Nexus 4: 4.4.3, 4.4.4
- Nexus 5, 4.4.3
1. Install the towelroot app (xda thread) from the project site! Please thank geohot, he made this possible!
2. Open the app and click on "make it ra1n"
3. Wait 15 seconds and the phone will reboot!
Congratulations! Your phone is rooted now!
4. Install either SuperSu or Superuser
a) In the app update your binary the "normal way" (without a custom recovery)
b)
1. Install BootUnlocker for nexus devices to unlock your bootloader! In the app, click "unlock" to unlock it!
2. Now you are able to install a custom recovery like TWRP or cwm
3. Boot up your system again, open SuperSu or Superuser and update the binary (using "TWRP/CWM")
This is it! You're rooted now and you can easily unlock/relock your bootloader using the BootUnlocker app without wiping any data
Note: This was not my work! I just wrote down some steps to root and unlock
How to unroot:
1. Reflash the stock recovery image/stock kernel/etc (only necessary if you are running a custom kernel/recovery/etc)
2. Open BootUnlocker and lock the bootloader. Now you are able to uninstall the app!
3. Open SuperSu -> Settings -> Full unroot. This will unroot your phone and the app will automatically be uninstalled.
4. Reboot and done
noob clarifications
Hey, came across your post in another post where you mentioned this method would prevent the posibility of the phone being wiped when unlocked + rooted via "traditional" methods using a PC w SDK etc. Phone at present is locked, unrooted stock Nexus 4 kitkat 4.4.4 stock.
Just wanted to clarify a few points since this is the first time I've come across a method where the phone is rooted and unlocked from within itself (I've rooted and unlocked a HTC desire back in my heydays).
--- Do I need to unlock the phone if I just want to change the kernel from stock to the Matr1x kernel? (I had taken unlocking as a given as it was the first step in every guide - there is no mention of steps on how to actually install the kernel but I was going to research that process once root and unlock was done successfully)
--- Any chance you can give steps on updating the binary the 'normal' way? (never done this before)
--- How do you install CWM using your method? Again, I have only seen it being installed via command lines from the PC
Apologies in advance for the dumb questions but searched and couldn't find any clear answers for those steps that I'm not understanding

1. To flash a kernel you have to unlock your bootloader, that's right. You just flash it using your PC and fastboot, there are many guides on how to do that
2. If your phone is rooted and you have SuperSU installed there'll be a popup and it'll tell you to update the binary before using the app. You are able to select the "normal" way then without a recovery
3. You can install CWM/TWRP using your PC in fastboot mode!
No problem, just ask :good:
Can the usual commandline methods for other things be used after this?

If you mean fastboot commands for example to flash another kernel/recovery/etc, yes! There's no difference between unlocking using this method or another "old" one, but this one doesn't wipe data

yes. can also be used flashify to flash recovery.img without PC
I think I'll give it a try then (assuming there's no risk of bricking my phone or doing irreversible damage). On that subject, is there an easy way to lock the bootloader and unroot?

So I try to recover in fast boot loader and as I clicked on recover and start it was showing the little Android icon with no command so now I can't recover my phone or open it at all.what necessary steps I needto do in order to get my phone back to the way it was can anybody help

First, you shouldn't be messing with a $650 device if you don't know what you're doing. Second, this is a problem with toolkits and inexperienced users. You now have no idea what to do. Third, read, read, read and read some more about fastboot and ADB. Finally, flashing the factory image should fix almost every issue. How do you flash a factory image? There's threads for that, so read.
hi,
i am new in these forums,
i searched over the web and also tried many root methods, but none worked.
root method for NXH19X is not working for me i tried multiple times.
the main error i am getting is "unable to mount /system; no such thing found" in TWRP
i also tried multiple Supersu files official ones and unofficial ones as well.
after some research i found out about new file system squashfs FS
then i tried this rom which supports EXT4 File System
here is link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/rom-ext4all-g-watch-r-skin1980-t3589917
but it didnot work out as well,(get boot looped)
so flashed stock rom and now on latest update as told earlier,
so its my request, i need help. if someone please come up with any working method to root latest stock rom and security patches(build number and security patch in title)
why stock rom?
i personally like stock rom and it is working fine for me.
why root?
i have root on my phone (one plus one), i felt like i am unable to use my watch on full potential without root.
and we all like root that's why we are here right
thank you
(i actually don't know the how to write any threads so bear with me please) :fingers-crossed:
This post of mine will work. Tried on many roms and it works.
Some play store apps says i dont have root but I do as the app i use that needs root works : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skin1980.buttonremap
So use this procedure :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/nxh19x-boot-img-rooted-t3651039
The problem is that u need a TWRP for squash images which you can find in the mentioned post

hi
i tried your given method,
twrp seems to work fine first time,
but i lost twrp as soon as i boot into system,
some how system replace recovery with default one each time watch booted into android itself,
however i am able to boot into recovery, when tried directly from fast-boot after flashing it,
but still unable to obtain root,
the zip files seems to flash perfectly, but there is no su in app drawer,
thanks for your support, but i think new version makes it harder to gain root,
and i am fine without root i can live without it.
thanks again.

There is no SuperUser for android wear watches. It will automatically allow root access for all apps that request it...
