Try removing the battery and pressing the power button in for 1 minute. If that doesn't work, you need to flash some new firmware.

Try this link
but how do i root my phone if its not turning on? I can go to only Downloading mode.
Don't worry just do this:
NOTE : It would be best to have your phone fully charged before flashing
1. First install the drivers ONLY if you haven`t already installed them, also if you have Kies installed there is no need to install these drivers, but you are better off installing these anyway : http://dev-host.org/ZRA
2. Download this package (it includes i9000 stock rom+kernel+odin) : http://dev-host.org/RAE, if you have a Captivate or a Vibrant just download a stock rom for your phone model and find a kernel which has root and cwm in it.
NOTE : The next step will require using the 3 key combo for accessing the clockworkmod recovery and also the download mode. The 3 key combo used below is for the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000. If you own a Captivate or a Vibrant please click this link and choose your phone model to see what 3 key combo must be used, as it differs from one phone model to another : http://tinyurl.com/6q6ajpx
3. After you have extracted all the contents you downloaded and installed drivers, put your phone into download mode using the 3 key combo : volume DOWN + home button+power button, keep those pressed until it goes into download mode.
4. Connect phone to PC via USB Cable and open Odin (windows should detect the phone and install some drivers, after it`s finished you should see the message "Added!" in Odin which means Odin succesfully detected your phone so now you are ready to flash)>check Re-Partition Option>press PIT button and browse for the s1_odin_20100512.pit file, press BOOTLOADER button and browse for the APBOOT… file, press PDA button and browse for the CODE….file, press PHONE button and browse for the MODEM….file, press CSC button and browse for the GT-I9000-CSC….file. PRESS START button and wait for the green pass notification in Odin.

Pull out your battery for 10 mins, reinsert the battery and now on startup try entering the recovery mode. It will most probably boot in an emergency arm recovery mode but let you connect to odin and update your firmware.

U cannot go download mode?....:/Try somehow..without battery..or do something... and flash a stock 2.3.5 with odin...
---------- Post added at 11:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:36 PM ----------
Try this steps:
- remove sim card, and sdcard
- remove battery for even less than 30-20 seconds
- hold volume down, home key and power button simultaneously and put the battery, it will go directly to Download Menu
None of this works bro for SGM.....Be careful...Dont install ROM manager no matter how pro you are at changing ROMs.

Then let's consider power failure and PC turn-off
Like someone already said just send it to samsung service and with an inocent face say "I dont know what happened, it just never turned back on " and they cant find out the real reason it bricked so they will fix it

So that means if I have the correct rom files in Odin, either the phone will be flashed (if I have the download mode), or nothing will happen (if I don't have the download mode). Right?
Because when I press the button combination for the download mode. I didn't have any display on the screen. However, the phone can still be recognized by the computer and Odin.
It will work as long as the phone isn't on an os and the problem is the phone is gonna boot and then there might be problems as the os u are running will crash...If u are stuck at ace logo it might work
U know that tut that u pull the bat and press home+volume+power and insert the battery and nothing happens on the screen (Hardbricked ace) it's the same
But.....
DON'T TRY IF U DON'T NEED TO!!!OTHERWIZE U WILL ENDUP LIKE ME!
1.) nothing could happen
2.) could be flashed (very unlikely i would say)
3.) you get a very nice paperweight
I had the same Problem with the stock recovery. cant understand why (i already reached it months ago)...could be due to the wind direction
but seriously...why do you want to risk it? just do it like the "manual" says or, cuz you cant go in dlmode, leav it.
maybe I better leave it as it is. The system now is quite ok.
Thanks guys!
Most Likey no effect on the flash
But you could give it a shot

Firstly, you should know custom roms for "cooperve" are designed to run only on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i and not on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Only custom roms for "cooper" are designed to run on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Due to hardware differences, running cooperve roms or kernels on Samsung Galaxy Ace can brick your phone. Can you try switching the USB ports? Also try to enter Download mode by pressing Vol Down+ Power+ Home button as per the guide again. Pressing Vol Up+ Power+ Home button makes your phone to enter RAM Dump mode. Also inside odin, unselect "Protect OPS" option and give it a try. Do post your result. Hope I Helped

No... just after that phone gone dead... means i flash this kernel via CWM Recovery and then dead... no boot screen... no boot loop... no recovery option by power + home key.... no downloading mode via power + vol down + home key...

@fernando15j had a similar problem but he was able to go to Download mode by connecting the phone to PC with Odin set ready and pressing Download Mode button and then Vol Up. He then clicked Start on Odin and everything worked fine for him. Can you try that? Here is the link on how he did it,

hello, I have a problem with my galaxy note 9. I mistakenly started an update with a different firmware from mine (I have SM-N960F). So now it is in bootloop on the screen installing system update. If I press Power + Volume Down the phone can simulate the removal of the battery by switching off and then restarting immediately. I can not get into recovery mode nor download mode. The phone is not recognized by the PC and therefore I can not use odin. How can i do?
Hold down Bixby, volume down, and power button until you see the download screen. Then flash through proper firmware.
if I try this combination of keys the phone will reboot on the logo screen until I stop (and then go back to that of the installing system update)

Ok. Try Bixby, Power, and Volume UP. See if you can get into recovery.
no, nothing happens..
If one wants to remove the carrier boot/flashscreen does one just flash an unbranded firmware? hate the carrier startup splash screen...

Dang. That sounds like a hard brick to me. If you can't get into download, there's nothing you can do. Hopefully someone here can find a solution for you, but sounds like you're bricked.

I think you accidentally clicked on for wrong thread. Your question has nothing to do with the OP's problem.

contrary to what some might have suggested in this case dl mode can only be achieved if phone is OFF. ( on the note 9 dl mode button combo changed so... :cyclops: )
so if you cant get to recovery and select power off. let it drain out. then plug the power for 10 min to charge it. leave it powered off
then unplug. hold vol down and bixby with one hand. while holding those 2 buttons plug the usb cable from your pc.
should revive to dl mode

Yes, but I celebrated too early ... now I have another problem. I downloaded a firmware from updato.com and unzipped. I assigned the entries bl ap cl and csc, and started .. now the process is started on "set partition" and on the device the horizontal bar has not loaded. now it is still .. and yet the phone has been recognized.

you need to know what model phone you have and flash the matching firmware.(get latest)
you can also use samfirm tool to get latest firmwares.
you cant downgraded bootloader so maybe you just choose a too old of a firmware.
also be sure you use Odin v. 3.13.1
also check that you are using a good USB c cable/USB port on PC.

Yes.. there was an error non odin 12.3
It's finally work:good:
Glad you got it working. Sorry if I steered you the wrong direction. I wasn't implying you could get to Download mode with it powered on. I assumed you were trying it with the device powered down. I should've been more clear and I almost asked you that.
Glad Bober got you up and running.
Hi all, I got a boot loop on my note 9 n960n after I was enable the "encryption"(didn't think straight..). After I pressed "reset and the phone will go to TWRP recovery but it will not allow me to stop so it just keep looping whenever I press "reset". I cannot power off the phone also. Any advise is appreciated, thanks in advance.
I solved the problem eventually..

Have you tried:
1. Plug phone into computer, with odin running
2. Turn phone off (if bootlooping skip to next step)
3. Hold bixby and volume down buttons, then turn phone on( or wait for phone to power cycle if bootlooping)
4. You should now be in download mode
if i press power button it will stuck in installing system info again

seems you might not have flashed a complete firmware set ( all 4 bl ap cp and csc .md5 files. were you trying to downgrade by any chance?)
also u should state what got you in that jam in the 1st place. because just responding to an old thread dosen't give much info on your current situation.
