Hello and Happy New Year to all! As the title says, I would like to know if there is a way to hide/remove permanently or temporarily those LG toggles, because I want to use another app, Notification Toggles from Play store. But the best I've managed to accomplish is this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is it possible to do something better?

I do think that is a coded and implemented part of the notification drawer itself...

Sounds like something i could do with a eclipse+sdk combo...
EDIT: seems like that apk have to be signed by LG too. Ended up with no UI and had to push the backup via ADB so i didnt have to reflash.
It did however work on a virtual android device, so it seems like a valid signature is the only thing missing(i cant use lg`s signature after uncompiling, editing and recompiling. It was password protected...)

I will try: change .apk to .zip, and then decompiling the single .class files into java files witch can be recompiled and put back in, and swithching out image file from .res folder.
But i dont know if switching filetype from apk>zip and then back will keep the signature...

Didnt work.
Anyone with deodexed rom who can provide me with their systemui.apk and the deodexed systemui?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
The OP in this thread, managed to mod the systemui.apk succesfully and change some elements of the LG UI with no adverse effects. Why can't the same methodology be applied in the case of the LG Toggles with positive results?

I enabled the CRT animation for Cyanogen Mod. The framework also includes an eri.xml edit that changes the Carrier name to Cyanogen Mod in the notifications pull down, and lockscreen.
The xml edit changes the T-CDMA 64 to "Cyanogen Mod" if you want me to change it for you specifically ask me. All I did was edit the eri.xml in the xml folder of framework-res.apk.
I found out how to extend the character limit to 16. Thank you dewguzzler for the help with apktool.

Trying to flash this on FroYo is a one way ticket to a bootloop.
However, there is a project here on XDA to port the CRT-Off animation to FroYo, if you want to look into it.

Any possible way you can post a leak?
Thank you!
Since this changes the Carrier text in the drop down, does anyone know of a way to get rid of the "Searching For Service" text since the pioneer isn't activated?
Is anyone able to get this to install on newest nightlies?
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA App
There is no need to, everything this fixed has been officially fixed as of nightly 7. Literally the only thing this will do is either A.) Break something and cause a mess or B.) Nothing other than change the pulldown title.
Asked before it was all fixed. On newest nightly now. Problem solved.

Is this only for cm7 or will it work on stock/rooted gb?
hi all
Another popular feature of the Note 2 and Galaxy S3 is the resizable popup browsers. Like the multi-window feature on the Note 2, the resizable popup browsers allows you to run two separate applications, albeit a different way

What are small apps?
Small apps provide an easy way to multitask. A small app only takes up a small area of your screen and is visible all the time. So you can
interact with a small app and another application at the same time on the same screen.
To open a small app
To make the small apps bar appear, open SMALL APP LAUNCHER app(see screenshot)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Tap the small app that you want to open. A small app window will appear.
To move a small app
Drag the Position icon to move and drop the small app to the desired position.
To minimise a small app
Drag the Position icon to the right edge or bottom edge of the screen.
u can also download more small apps from play store !!!!!!!!!!!
Currently package includes calculates,camera,toggles,music player,recorder,browser,times
Instructions
Use only on P3100 jelly bean 4.2.2 and deodexed rom.............

Obviously I'm looking for fix or work around
Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Dude... Seriously? Did you really start ANOTHER thread about this?
If you want to fix it decompile secsettings.apk
Look for the smali that should be something like about_device.smali or something like that.
Open it in notepad++
Find .method oncreate
Scroll down to the first 0x7 hex
Then look in res>values>public.XML
Find the xml reference to the same smali file should be about_device or about_phone.xml or something like that.
Copy the hex code
Replace the code in the smali file with the one you copied from public.xml
Save and recompile
Sign the apk with test keys or old signature
Copy to system/app
Set permissions 0644
Wipe cache/dalvik
Reboot
Profit?
And then never make another thread about this again

FWIW the flashable zip didn't install and trying to simply install the apk didn't work either on my 6p. I installed it using root explorer and dropping the commandcenter.apk into the system/priv-app folder and setting the permissions to rwxr-xr-x (octal 0755) and dropping the library.jar file in the system/framework folder and setting permissions to rw-r--r-- (octal 0644)
Widget is working perfectly
Everything works great except this area
