I am using Galaxy S plus. When I'm lisening music or watching video and pull the notification the sound starts to lag. When I drag the notification bar all the way the sound isn't laggy anymore.I' m running Ginger Revenge Rom but I had these problems on some other roms too. This problem started few days ago.It seems like more u use the rom,the more laggy the soung will be and the rom itself. Is there any fix for this?

please try the MX player,it‘work good
VLC with hardware acceleration enabled in settings has given me the best performance when watching movies, for music I'd suggest Apollo or Google stock player...
I used MX player before but 720p vids lagged with it.
(I know our display isn't HD, but it still looks a lot better)

Please try mx player. It is the best then if you don't have any luck try flashing another kernel maybe it could help.
Regarding music I recommend using ubermusic simple and it does the work.

I've rooted and realised this problem... My music playback is not smooth. Any reasons why this is occurring?

I've found that certain widgets cause my music to lag regardless of the player I'm using (stock, winamp, etc.)
Try turning off your widgets and see if that helps, then add them back to find the culprit.
I'll try and figure then I'll post back.

Are you using weather and toggle widget? That caused me and many other laggy music playing. It sucks because i cant refund now...

turn off wifi while playing music....this solves the tempo/pitch changing playback artifacts
Hey all, apparently it's just that one occasion...playback us smooth now. Yes, I use weather and toggle widget.. Does it cause lag?
And no, I don't switch on wifi while playback

Lately while watching videos on my galaxy note, i observe that whenever i forward or rewind an flv video the audio is lost,i.e, i can only see the video but cant hear the sound.... Normally playing the video(without rew and fwd), there is no problem
Is it only me having this problem?????
i tried it with different media players like mobo, mxplayer etc.. The same problem with all......

ofw 2.3.6
KERNEL DDLB2(updated today)
This rom is good overall, but I find that whenever I'm playing music, there is a slight delay/lag if I switch to another application or even rotate the screen. I've read several posts about the same issue and the recommendation is to delete DSP manager. I did that, but it doesn't remove the lag. Is there anyone out there with a solution to this annoying lag/bug?
Yeah man! And if i use Overclock up to 604 Mhz for max The Camera is Flickering
I rarely take pictures but I listen to music on my phone a lot , so I would really appreciate a fix to this issue.
if you are using 604 Mhz, it's the default speed. not overclocked.

True. I tried that one too and its very smooth. I prefer crazy kp's cm7 music edition v3.0 though bcuz of the extra tweak settings. I flashed beats audio with it and I REALLY like how my phone sounds (especially through the earphones). Music coming from the stock earphones sounds CRISP!
use combination of beats audio and bravia MegaBASS...

I also tried music edition v3 by kp...i found it a bit annoying..because mebitek's rom is highly efficient evn though it doesnt have extra tweaks it is much stable than music edition and if you just install power amp with beat audio its equivalent to music edition...
hello,i need some great dev. to mod skyfire. Here is the deal:while the video is being played i cannot use any controls, such as:foward, back, pause.

did u tried 720p patch
I'm having a similar problem too. Can someone pls tell me how to flash a "Kernel", as well as a download link for the 720p patch?
Seriously nobody helping?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
IMO the problem is MX player, hardware works great on every single format in VLC for me and playing 720p no longer lags, which it did with MX. I'm on CM10.1 but was the same on previous versions.

Ok thats something to hear, but I tried Moboplayer and dice player and they all have the same results. Are you sure that vlc will handle it? Also what about 1080p? My gtp1000 can handle it on gingerbread. . .
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Why would you want to play back 1080p on an i9000?
Anyway i don't know, but I could test it later when I'm home if it's important.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Just tried 1080p on vlc on the p1000, no joy whatsoever. I read from another topic that I have to use another kernel, here's the website:
http://www.humberos.com.br/p/android-ics.html. You think this would work?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Yeah I just realized you're posting from a Galaxy Tab, and while we have much the same hardware you should take your question to the appropriate section...
When my phone was new, the Samsung stock player was perfectly able to play anything I threw at it, you don't seem to know much about flashing so I assume you're on a stock ROM, in which case you have the stock player. Use that?
Also, for viewing on your Tab anything more than 720p is completely useless.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Yes that is true, it is completely useless. hmm anyways I just wanna know is there any app that could allow me to configure the white and black color density, just like in the stock Gingerbread?
