Well actually no need to convert into wave, just drop your MP3 file in the rings folder of windows and select it afterwards, you'll be all done!

Extracting content within Soundboards

I love some of the Soundboards that people have created, but miss the ability to set some of the audio files as ring / message tones.
Instead of having to wait for the Soundboard developer to implement this, is there a way for me to extract that audio content myself and to set it as a ring message tone?
Would probably be just easier to search online for the mp3 .........
Back up your applicatiom
Extract the apk to your computer via usb
Open the apk with winrar
Find the file with all the .mp3 sounds
????????
Profit

set as ringtone my wav. file.

where can i download a app, that set the wav. file as a ringtone or messages alert?? can you give me some links. thanks in advance..
are you dislike mp3 ? )
Use ur laptop to send the .wav file to ur X1 through bluetooth. And then u can see the wav file in the ringtone list
making the wav into mp3 would dec it's size by a factor 11 though
The best software to encode between mp3 and .wav is free CDEx.
I use it all the time in profi usage.
With 320kbps mp3 you get perfect quality without any loss for a ringtone.
well for ring tones I would advise mono and a pretty low Kb/sec as the speaker in most devices don't really do high quality audio much justice
Put it in either the My Documents folder on your device or in Storage Card\My Documents and it'll show up in the ringtone list.
Works for mp3, wma, wav, mid etc

Nope. It works in My Documents as well, even on a card. Try it!

How can I add a new song for sms and call?froyo by laszlo

as title, someone can help me?
exploerer
root explorer can do the job!!
just place a song on sd card.. than go to market and download "ringdroid" it lets you cut a specific piece out of the song to use as a ringtone or notification!
build a new file on your sdcard:media/audio/notifications and media/audio/ringtones
put songs into notifications file or ringtones file.
ringtones file is for your call.
then you can change the sound in the setting

[Q] adding ringtones

I am trying to add a ringtone, Pixie Dust. I downloaded the mp3. Placed it in the ringtone folder. Yet, it does not show up in settings > sounds. It seems that NONE of the mp3s in the ringtones folder will show up in sounds. They do play....
Ok, it was simple, once I figured it out. Simply go into es file explorer. Locate the .ogg file in download. Cut. Go to notifications and paste.
