[Q] How to root an Xperia TX??? - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

So yea, I'm looking everywhere on how to root an Xperia TX. I admit I'm a bit of a noob but I just want to root my phone. I previously had an Optimus One and I successfully rooted that and applied a custom recovery loader along with a custom ROM aswell so I'm not a complete noob.
Every where I look, the website is either not reliable or the guide is for the Xperia T or V. I'm a little worried about following an Xperia T guide so I just wanted to ask what would be best to do or if anyone has a guide that they can link me to?
Thanks in advance.
I have to say, I am really enjoying the community even though this is my first time posting.

First.
Remove the mention of the app from the OP. Any mention of warez etc is banned from xda.
Secondly.
Just follow the instructions to root.
If you are on newer firmware 195 or 223 then flash a TX firmware that is 303 (Or equivalent)
Then use bin4rys method to root, then the method to update back to newer firmware whilst keeping root. Its all in that thread.

Same for me, it wasn't clear in that thread.

You just saved me and my phones life I just ordered a TL29i and it will arrive next week. First order of business is to root! Do these come with a locked bootloader? I know Sony has a website to unlock it for "developers."

It depends, I would have asked the people I was getting it from before you ordered it... Beyer hope it is otherwise there is no unofficial way to unlock yet

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?

Did you ever get your LT29i (TX) rooted successfully? Just un-boxed mine and charging it before I even try rooting it. Any tips or advice on reading through all those threads?

Updated TL Lt30a 9.1.F.1.120 boot user to remove bloatwares

I have just fortunately received and installed the update for my TL Lt30a (AT&T) v.4.1.2.
I used to have a root software loaded within the older version and had Root Explorer with SU from where I downloaded the root software from.
But with the new update, also came with the annoying bloatwares that compromised the battery life of my phone. I know there's a new feature that extends battery life, but I dont have the need or use for the AT&T apps.
Is there a new root software already available to remove these?
Or a site that I can be directed to the right direction and get the unwanted apps off from my phone.
Thank you,
Sorry if this was posted already before, but if there is a link to that thread that has already started commenting below would be just enough.
How about searching first buddy? If you Google "Root Xperia T 4.1.2 or Jelly bean" I promise you will find your answer in less than 1 minute.
In any case. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Good luck!

and BTW the AT&T model is the LT30at not LT30a which is for our northern neighbors.
Always a pleasure to see Spectre51 and augie7107 comments.
You always learn something new.
But this is the link that was concise to what I was looking for that took longer than a min to google. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191035
Guess I need to get a different internet service.
But for anyone else with AT&T and recently installed the new firmware. Hope the link above provides a simpler search on finding the solution to root your phone.
Good luck and credit to all that helped me out tons and with those affiliated within the link above.
Thank you

In bin4rys thread, the Xperia TL is not in the "confirmed device" list, (only T was there). Could you confirm that it works for TL (9.1.F.1.120) too?

Welcome to XDA. Sorry for the late reply.
You can't remove the AT&T apps unless you have root access.
To unlock from network you will need a code. These can be obtained from AT&T if your contract has been satisfied or you can purchase a code on-line from a third party.

6606 Z help

Hello, I picked up my Tmobile Z last week, I've decided to root it and getting ready to install a recovery, not sure what one yet.My question is and sorry if it has already been answered. I am trying to install a 4.2.2. Rom. From what I am understanding i have to flash a stock firmware from a 6603, please correct me if that's wrong? I've looked at a few but not sure what one I should be flashing. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some info it would be much helpful . I'm not new to flashing roms etc this is just my first locked down Sony I'm doing it on.

This is better posted in the general section. If you are already on 4.2.2 stock then you don't need to flash the stock Rom. Just install dual recovery ( instructions on the relevant thread) back up current Rom and flash whatever 4.2.2 custom Rom you want.

Yes It kept lte. didn't need to mess with any apns or anything... It Just works like it should.
Word of advice though... In the update, under xperia settings in the settings menu, there is an option to download apns for your carrier.. Don't do it. It wipes T-Mobile's lte apn and you have to remake it... I learned that the hard way...

You need a custom kernel. And to install one, you need an unlocked bootloader.. which will break your warranty on many cases, so be careful

Already unlocked my bootloader,
Sorry, I'm a rookie at android devices, where can I get a custom kernel
And what do i need to do after that?
EDIT: It seems we replied at the same time! haha.. nevermind what I said below then....
Also note that a lot of our Xperia T's bootloaders are NOT unlockable. There is a code you can dial on your phone to take you to a service menu where it will tell you if your bootloader is unlockable. If it says No, then your bootloader simply cannot be unlocked. Then you can join the many of us who patiently pray and wait for someone out there to crack or work around it

Kingo Android Root worked well for me until I updated to 4.3 Sent from my xperia z C6606 Sorry everyone, just thought I'd help the guy.
It isn't a matter of not wanting to help. He provided no useful information. The method of rooting varies by device and firmware version, so if he didn't provide that, then nobody can provide the correct information.
I don't recommend using Kingo. It collects a large amount of information on your device including hardware IDs and serials and sends them to a server in China, supposedly in order to download drivers. It does facilitate that, but just the model number could achieve the same. They even used to collect your IMEI until they were caught and stopped. Not exactly trustworthy behaviour.
If you're running 4.2.2 or older, use Root many Android by trusted XDA dev Bin4ry to root. It doesn't collect any info or even connect to the internet.

Here is a post I made in another thread regarding downgrading/rooting.
This may be helpful as well - How to flash stock roms with Flashtool
The images in that tutorial are broken, but the text explanation should help.
It is also possible to root then upgrade OTA and keep root, but it requires SuperSU Pro. If that's the route you want to take, then after downgrading, instead of flashing a recovery-
Root with Root many Android
Enable OTA survival mode in SuperSu Pro
Update via OTA
