Hello,
at first sorry for my bad english.
I tried to search in this forum for my problems, but i don't find a perfect answer.
So at first the datas of my HTC:
Incredible S with newest org. software (Android 4.0.4 - Sense 3.6 - Softwarenumber 4.10.405.1)
With HTC-Dev i rootet my phone, but its still s-on.
Now to my problems. At first i want to get my Phone at the easiest way s-off to try the app "remote Sim-Access (rSAP)" (this app to find under 'android-rsap.com', needs 's-off', but i still have my incredible S 's-on' when i look in the bootmenu/loader. I would prefer a easiest way to get s-off, because i'm a noob and i find the original rom very good and if it is possible i don't like to install a custom rom to get s-off or anything else...
This instruction is good, but i don't understand it very good and i don't know, if i have to do every step (it is a lot of work).
- - - - -
The second bigger problem is my new car (BMW). The incredible S supports my car good, but not perfect. I hope with the app for rSAP (remote Sim-Access) i will get some office-options more (like reading sms in my car)
But what i want to get is the titelinformation for songs which i stream over bluetooth.
The problem is, that Android 4.0 supports only AVRCP 1.0 (as far as i know).
AVRCP 1.3 is needed to get titelinformations over bluetooth, so i need this.
Samsung and LG is better then HTC with AVRCP, there it is working. IOS supports it too.
So i want to know, if i can get AVRCP 1.3 to my incredible S.
I read a lot in the web, but i only read CyanogenMod9 or AOKP ROM works with AVRCP 1.3.
(If CyanogenMod 7 works with AVRCP 1.3, i don't know).
Can somebody help me ?
I hope you understand my problem.
Thanks a lot.
Can nobody help me ?
Cm7 seems to have avrcp 1.3, at least in the nightly builds. Just made a quick search , unless you find anything more I might be able to find more info when I have a computer and not searching from NY phone.
Sorry for spelling, rushing to the bus.

Hey
I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one (gallery, YouTube,internet ... )
I don't know why
I installed froyo 2.2 and video stopped working then i installed back stock rom ... video don't work
I've unlocked my nexus and i've done all the stuff with the amon-RA recovery images
I got the stock roman from modaco
Thank's a lot for help me
The radio that came with 2.2 will not work well with the other roms out. You need to flash your previous radio. This is why you have this issue. This answer has been post before.
Re: ey I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one
Im having the same problem. I did a nandroid restore to my cyanogen rom and installed a radio image from 2.1 and it didn't help. do you know exactly which radio version to flash? I also tried that whole build.prop edit but didn't do any good either.

yea i just posted a thread in here. its called noob question on radio. in there they tell you what radio to use. i juss dont know how to install it. i think you just flash it like normal
Re: ey I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one
Awesome, the first stock radio image in that thread worked. Not sure which one I tried first, but it obviously was the wrong one, lol. Thanks again. Im gonna be waiting for a cyanogen version of froyo before I switch to it. Stock is missing too many of the little extras right now.

Maybe this is just me but most builds I install don't have a working wired headset. I have tried searching for a fix, but the only thing I have found is that it could be a kernel problem that has not been fixed due numerous kernel updates. Does anybody know of a fix that can take care of this problem, or know of a NAND or Clockwork build (preferably desire HD) where the wired headset works.
Yes, i have this problem with the wired headset.
Now with my Bluetooth Headset (Calypso BT) buttons are working perfectly
My conclusion is that the problem is.. the sound card driver =)
Correct me if i'm wrong, i'd be honored to see someone correcting me
when i use Gauner1986 ROM with ROM's kernel or MDJ kernel 9.2, 9.3, my Wired headset buttons are working fine, but when i upgarde to 10.3 oc MDJ kernel, it does not work anymore
I just tried the new CoreDroid rom (Jan 24) and it doesn't work. I also tried the revolution 2.3 rom and no luck.
+1 for this problems... Only Gauner1986 HD 0.3 is Work... Others HD or Z Build... does not working at all... so, i can't anwser my phone calls when i driving my motorbike... and control music player :-<
Gauner's kernel supports this function. MDJ's does not. It is that simple.
If you want your buttons to work, use Gauner's kernel.
The core Droid roms work great with wired headphones I'm using the supersonic with no problems

+1
CoreDroid - the wired headset doesn't work.
So the question is what is included in gauner1986's or older kernels that is missing or modified in other kernels (like MDJ's 10.4OC)?

I think you're right. If you stick with a Cyanogen 6.1 Froyo build it should work. I am running NexusHD2-Froyo v1.9G NAND by tytung and it works fine with PowerAmp in case that helps.
CMYLXGO's BlueTopia v1.0.6n and the rest of his should work if you are looking for a Desire HD base.
PRJ kernel should work too...

Hello my Legend before root was no brand Froyo 2.2 and GPS works well.
Then I ran successfully the root and installed the stable version 7 CyanogenMod but the gps does not want to officials in spite of having GPS installed booster for the test plus gps fix and to check ... but no signs of life, not satellites even see them ... how could hook ... I tried to flash with the nightly version, but nothing came back to the stable .... what do you recommend? Froyo return to 2.2 for a further verification? then I'll root again?
Help please!
thanks

It's a common problem with CM7, Just search on XDA / CM Forums and you'll get lot of posts on this issue.
Anyways, I solved the GPS issue on my legend by upgrading the radio to version 7.13.35.13 as suggested in one of the posts in CM7 forums.
Hi,
I have a problem with all xperia stock roms with the mediaserver process. It is always running while I listen to music (which is a lot of time) and drains a lot of battery (up to 65%). Though I use poweramp player which is totally independent of the process (own library and decoder). There must be some process to improve soundquality or something like it. On my Desire S on CM11 I don't have the issue this is why I want to move to a custom rom. I'm on 4.3 now (was hoping this would fix the issue) and want to root and full backup with keys for warranty purposes and then move to a custom rom.
Is it right that I have to downgrade first, since there is no root for 4.3 yet? If yes, what ROM? I have a C5303 and don't know what version I had previously. I bought it in Switzerland without SIMlock or any branding. Is there a way I can find out what my previous version was or can I basically just use any generic C5303 version?
Would you recommend 12.0.A.1.284 in order to be able to use DoomLords rootkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3#post42701183 ?
It's just that I don't know if I ever was on this version, also regarding warranty...
I know, many questions and I opened a new thread jst for this. I tried to find help in other threads, but didn't. I just reached a point where I don't seem to get further without asking. I tried to be as specific as possible and hope someone can clarify some of them.
Thanks in advance!
Answers to all the questions:
- Mediaserver will always run when media is being played (music/movie) this also happend on my Galaxy S+ with CyanogenMod
- Rooting can be done by downgrading back to 4.1.2 stock 254 is good... (see my how to about flashing), root is with doomlords method
- Version of 4.1.2 doenst matter you can use a Generic one if you want. Some versions have some extra bloatware

If you deactivate some apps/processes like SondFX (and possibly SoundFX) and use a player I think you can listen to music it without mediaserver.
(some more on that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116076)
With my desire s it actually already isn't active without deactivating anything. just by using poweramp. I can listen to music 8 hours without using more than 20% battery or so. What I get with my SP is just frustrating since I bought it for the nice battery size-processor relation...
Thank you very much for your reply!
So you could disable soundFX (Dutch Geluidsverbeteringen) and try again?? I've disabled it and altho the music is not as nice as i had it with soundfx it still plays.. I'll perform some extra tests.. This is interesting
flashing .284 wouldn't be a good option?! because then I could use DoomLords flashtool directly without having to do the workaround....
Doesnt matter if you flash 254 and follow the tutorial

so this has been asked before for the htc desire c, but never answered.
has anyone used custom sense based rom (as i gather these are the only ones capable) of using the fm radio? I'm happy to use stock, but i was getting frequent and untimely reboots of the device with stock. spiritfm is not compatible with the device.
It is possible you are one of a few that uses the FM on your phone, I never use it (used it about 3x since mobiles had it as a capability from Nokia 5600 or something like that lol! ) that's probably the most likely answer as to why it's not been (or being) answered
PM a ROM DEV is probably your best bet
Bashing away at my HTC Desire C
hi all i have recently got my desire c rooted which was succesful. so i decided to move on a srep further and got to a more advance level and try out custom ROM so i searched abt it and found Cyanogenmod10 to be the most popular and also one of the most supported ROM by developers so i Managed to install all the things properly and now I curreently have CM10 with android 4.1.2 which i great all the things work great and specially the battery life i mean cant even think that my phone had such a long battery life which was possible to acheive with CM10 now i have wifi 3g some gaming and music on all the time since past 1week from the time i got CM10 the battery lasts 1full day plus 3-4 hours more. whereas with stock rom it lasted only 7-8hrs.So CM10 works great inshort.
Now comming to a problem which i faced with CM10- NO FM RADIO app. i did not think abt it earlier but now after flashing i came to know CM does not come with FM . so i did search on net and found Spirit Unlocked and Spirit2 which are 3rd party app as most of you might know for FM radio. and i tried it and the both dnt work at all ,i can install them both but no FM service its just like a app installed it opens and nothing runs no radio works with these two also.
So i thought that if som1could help me with it.what i thought was to get the apk file for FM from stock HTC Desire C rom and try it on my phone with Cm10 but only problem i that where can i get the stock apk file for HTC desire c FM ? can som1 provide me that file ? so i can try it?
thanks
sal! you have found ? (stock apk file for HTC desire c FM) ????????
Get it by extracting it from revolutionary stock deodexed Rom
