Try to get apn settings from the operator and confirm with them maybe through customer care or something.Sometimes backing up apn settings before flashing rom can be useful

MMS not auto sending?

ok well im running 2.24 custom tmobile usa rom.. i upgraded from the aku 2.3 mr clean usa rom.. and now my MMS arent sending.. it gets a waiting icon next to it. pretty much its not auto-connecting to the GRPS to send them out like it did b4 i check my settings and it all seems fine i even re-installed the tmobile network cab posted in this forum but its still not connecting to send them out neone got ne idea whats wrong
same thing
the exact same thing has happened to me. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with data services. as it turns out the OS 2.24 rom has not been released by tmobile US yet. the tech said their system does not recognize the OS as one that supports mms because it is to new. when he looked up the OS version he said their system has 2.24 listed as the UK version not the US one. he wasn't sure if it on their end or mine, but since you have the same problem, I would venture to guess it is the rom not on tmobiles end
this doesnt make sense cuz it worked on the mr.clean 2.24 rom...2.17 2.21 roms...so what the hell lol.. well i figured out how to get it to work.. go into ur connections and change ur settings to T-mobile MMS for both connection options.. dont use the t-mobile data cuz the settings are wrong.. i got t-zones on my plan so i added a new t-zones data connect and it works just fine now. hpe that helps
can you be a lot more specific about how to do this?

TMobile 2.26 ROM on a UK Vario

anybody knows whether there are language and/or other issues that make the US.26 ROM NOT compatible with TMobile UK Vario? I unlocked my CID when I upgraded from TMo UK 1.x to Mr Clean 2.24 by the way.
I just finished installing the 2.26 ROM on my MDA Vario Dutch Edition.
So I don't think any language barriers should be an issue.
Reception is ok. and don't see any problems up till now.
Good luck installing if you decide to upgrade. I must say it feels faster.
Cheers,
Shah.

Hi,
Well I think the language (upgrade/CID unlock) is the problem for ROM 2.xx and higher (Wizard, T-Mobile Dutch). Please correctg me if I am wrong (and tell how to do it) ;-)
gtz
Hi Barneyhead,
I don't know about upgrading from 2.xx ROMs but I upgraded from a 1.3 ROM Dutch version MDA Vario.
I first of all used the Lokiwiz 0.2b tool to unlock(U) and CIDunlock(C) my phone.
After that I downloaded the US T-mobile ROM 2.26 and ran the installer.
I didn't have any issues with language or other setting what so ever.
It just replaced the Dutch version ROM with the US version ROM and now I'm running the new version without any problems.
Cheers,
Shah
Hello,
thnaks for your answer. Yes, I think it is possible with your version of ROM. I found somewhere in forums how to pass CID lock for new versions too.
cheers.

With previous roms I have used the Cingular settings were hard coded for gprs access. This meant that if you didnt change them you were charged very high prices for sending data from the UK to the US then back to the UK again. Can the settings on this rom be changed?

:?: How can sending data to the US and back to UK be possible when connection is only based on APN, and these access point is related to the simcard. :?:
So, in your case matey as you are in T-mobile UK no matter what ROM you use as long as your APN is general.t-mobile.uk ; username: user and password: one2one (it's the only connection you can use anyway) then it will be just the same charge.

The rom I am currently on had a similar problem where the setting for the connection was already set. Someone posted that they have been charged £40 for just checking their email, http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52521&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75 :

to all the non-cingular users...
After I flashed the new rom I set up my e-mail account to receive e-mail every 20 min...
However, by default, this rom connects by CSD calls to USA...
I was charged more than 40pounds for international calls in an afternoon...
the phone wakes up every 20min and it connects to the inet using the number 0014152441012!!!!
Imagine if I realized that after a few days and not after a few hours...

That is CSD settings mate or Dial-up not GPRS. Again, that is in the network settings.

Tmobile web2go

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you out there on a Tmobile plan with web2go is having problems with it.
I have the web2go internet feature and it was working fine (I have the correct internet settings and had been using the internet for the last month) until Monday 4-13-09. I have full connection bars to GPRS/EDGE, but it still hasn't worked.
Now it just displays a page stating, "Subscription upgrade required" at the link, http://10.184.76.164/dsb/upgraderequired/?msisdn=1X (WHERE X=YOUR PHONE NUMBER)
I've tried the trick of removing the battery and replacing it but still not working.
Anyone have this problem?
Any Solutions?
Thanks for your time guys.
I got the same message, using unlocked iPhone for months. Just happened this morning 4/16.
??
Just got back from overseas and that has been the message i keep getting when i try to go online. They must have done some system upgrade.
Mine has been working fine. "Knock on wood.."

@Supertrooper. Do you mind me asking you what are your specific phone configurations?
Also, can you tell me where your location is? I'm from New York. Like I said before, it was working fine till Monday...
I've tried the epc.tmobile.com and wap.voicestream.com but neither have worked.
I also have the same ROM as you on the AT&T Fuze unlocked on the Tmobile network.
Thanks for reading.
Solution to web2go!
Hey guys, I think I figured it out. Just use a different APN (internet2.voicestream.com,internet3.voicestream.com,epc.tmobile.com or wap.voicestream.com.
I was using epc.tmobile.com, but it stopped working for a week.
Now I'm up and running again using internet2.voicestream.com.
I hope this can help you guys out.
please post if it does.
Thanks for reading guys!
Tried all the APN, still not working......

thanks man this worked. I started having the same problem this morning and as soon as i tried another apn it worked without even rebooting.
If you dont mind me asking, who advised for you to try this method.
Mine finally stopped working. No more web2go for unlocked phones.
I went ahead and signed up for the new loyalty plan 49.99 unlimited calling and got the $24.99 internet plan. So it balances out with me paying the same amount of money and keeping the web. Plus having unlimited calls to everyone instead of just 5 (myfavs).
No harm no foul.
I had the same problem.
I changed the APN to internet2 and it worked
i used to have tbe blackberry plan and used epc.tmobile.com successfully on other phones. i switched over to the tmo web2go and experienced the exact same problem so i decided to try internet2.voicestream.com for the APN and it started working fine with no issues whatsoever.
not sure about not being able to use it on unlocked phones though. that would suck as i am now using an unlocked fuze... *knock on wood* for me too...

[Q] Oh god please help (galaxy s i9000m [bell])

THE MAIN PROBLEM IS AFTER THE NEXT PARAGRAPH
All my problems started when i downloaded an application that was supposed to turn off the lock screen on my phone. After restarting the phone i realized that withour the lock screen it cant start. And so my journey began. As most posts are about the i9000 not the i9000m, it was incredibly difficult to figure out how to do a hard reset, which sucked. After that i figured, hey, why not update to 2.2? I did, using a rom called macnut r12. It didnt work, it would not let me use my sim card for 3g, calling or texting. I tried to reset my phone and it wouldnt work. So what i did was...
I tried to put 2.1 back on my phone, and ended up putting the i9000 version on, not the i9000m version. It's not that bad, except its missing a page of stock applications, wont let me use my 3g for some reason, and i just dont trust it. Does anybody know how to help me? I realize that if i send it in they will probably remove my warrenty and ill be double f***ed.
I used ordin3 v10 btw, so i could fix it with a pit, pda, and phone file.
*edit*
i might have found the solution! when i origionally flashed it i made a recovery using clockworkmods free app. Im going to install it and try to recover!
Personally I would flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845558
if your just looking to get a stock rom thats 2.2 made specifically for the i9000M.
As far as your 3g not connecting , your APN settings are most likly blank. You would have to fill them in manually.
Thanks
Im downloading the files now. If there is still a problem with 3g i will google it lol, but i also typed some code in the dialer and it said network data is blocked (or something along those lines)
...later...
I got it!! now i need to fill out the acsess point name? oh well, one step at a time, i guess.
Worst case scenario, i can just use rom manager to restore 2.1 from a backup (no, im not a moron, all the other firmwares wouldnt let me download it for some reason
i got it!
Its finally over! i got 3g again, thanks bell!
for anyone with the same problem go to settings/wireless and network/mobile networks/access point names menu, new, the first field put in bell and in the second one put inet.bell.ca.

LOL good job!! Although, if you had done a bunch of reading you would have found there are LOTS of information on here for fixing your problem (with the lost APN settings, and lost of internet) and you likely would have saved yourself some stress. lol if all else fails, download and re-install the stock JH2 rom (that came with your phone) and flash it 'usually' works for me!

Glad you got it working again. Just an FYI, that ROM you flashed 'macnut r12' is for the US Vibrant, not the Bell Vibrant. Our phones are more akin to the international version. You need to stick with i9000 ROMs in the future, not from the Vibrant forum.
Glad you got it sorted out.

Yup, this. Copy the APN information down, then just set it up manually if the app doesn't work.
If you don't have a LTE SIM card....usually has a 2 or 5 in the 9th or
10th digit and is sku 73057...and an LTE data plan you can add a second APN Setting and it will work with ICS...you will get 2g,3g, HSPA+, voice and text...but no LTE....
Please reply back if you need settings for it.....

No problems here with mms on ST on any rom I've tried.
These are my settings for ST on my Vivid:
NAME:
Straight Talk
APN:
att.mvno
MMSC:

MMS proxy:
proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
MMS port:
80
APN Type:

I've had straight talk for a week now, mms was working fine until yesterday just quit working, tried a million different settings and still nothing. Thought it might of been the juicedefender app I was using, I deleted but it didn't change anything. if anyone has any suggestions that would be amazing.
When I get a picture i click to download, it attempts and than says download failed.
I'm running holics rom ICS 4.0
thanks
I have having a lot of trouble getting data and mms working on my stock vivid with ICS 4.0.3 on the straight talk network (ATT)
I have tried the standard straight talk settings from their website and probably about a dozen found via the web but none have worked.
Anyone know the secret for the vivid?
