Has anyone had constant static/crackling audio issues w/ Max Payne or GTA on the N7? I've seen ppl with both however GTA works good for me, no lag or audio probs.. I'm still on stock jb 4.2. I'm trying to decide whether to re-install since I'm not sure if its a rockstar problem, or if i should root and flash a ROM to see if it stops.. Is there currently a ROM out that doesn't have this issue?

This is not a rockstar problem and it's not about rooting or flashing a ROM. Many people (including me) have this problem. The sound is ok, but only under 40-50%. At a higher volume the sound is crackling.

Hi all
I upgraded my german galaxy note to ics 4.0.3 using kies (pc version) I am noticing a serious lag in flash when viewing videos using the browser, this is using the latest flash plugin, my partner uses the galaxy nexus and flash videos work fine usng the same flash plugin. On the play store , I noticed a lot of people complaining about my experience using galaxy s2 after their ics upgrade.
I would like to know if anyone else is experience the same flash video lag
Regards
Francis
I have had issues as you describe, but they're not consistent, some videos play fine and others buffer frequently. This was never the case under GB. I've seen a couple of other threads on the same issue.

My Note lagged so much I decided to go back to GB. A lot of apps needed an extra second to start up. Videos were buffering a lot where the exact same videos on GB didn't need that much buffering. Graphical performance was rather poor. My favorite launcher lagged a lot (not on GB)
official ics for note lag
I experiences the same issue. just upgraded the official ics yesterday. i found out that the home is lagging while scrolling to next page. my installed large-size games (fifa2012, shadowgun, etc) lags too.
I agree - the UI seems buggy and slow. I want to be more excited but can't be... not only is it the lag.. but also the battery drain thats pissing me off !
Guys...i was facing lag and bugginess... Factory resetting did the trick.. Works like a dream.. The battery life has doubled..

Which Version of ICS did you install ??
there may be slight differences between versions
I tried the German rom and it was horrible and wouldnt play anything video wise...
So I too went back to Gingerbread and everything is back to normal.
I also take it you don't have the Deep Sleep issue with your ROM either.

I'll play a lot in S3 mini, the cm10.1 this good for gaming or CM10.1 and better? If you are CM10.1 same sewed the stock has no problem, you guys have any link cm10.1 without bug? Or that I posted and the best?
Thank you for helping me
i don't play that many graphics intensive games on my s3 mini but S Advance which has like the same hardware as our s3 mini can play games smoother on stock rom compared to my s3 mini CM10.1

Sorry, but it was not clear to me, the games in question (who I quoted above for example) run in cm10.1? The Cm10.1 this better than stock in a matter of heavy games like gangstar, GTA and N.O.V.A 3, or stock and better to run heavy games ?

Yes they can run in CM10.1, as long you are using android you can run it, CM10.1 will be better for games but it is subjective as you may have other apps running in the background which slows down your device

But still remains better than stock. Thanks to everyone who helped me. If one ouver CM10.1 without bug please pass me.
Thank you for the help.
I play a lot of games on my CM10.1

I guess no ROM is "notably better" for any game, there might be some slight effect due to how the ROM manages memory etc... but in the end the hardware remains the same, no matter what ROM you install.
I've had so many ROMs and so many games, but in the end you don't really notice a difference in gaming performance (as long as the ROM itself isn't buggy and laggy, of course).

I can vouch for this to and I agree although management of running apps and services helps with smoothness.

Hey all,
I recently got my Butterfly S and I'm absolutely loving this phone. I think HTC nails it when it comes to UI design but there is two areas that I'm having some issues. When trying to play 3d games like Real Racing 3, Riptide GP2 and Asphalt 7(For some reason 8 isn't supported on this device) I see quite a bit of slow down. I'm wondering if there is a issue on my end or if anyone else is having similar problems? I know the SD600 and Adreno 320 should be more than capable of running these games smoothly.
My second is when it comes to playing back mkv files. I'm using MK player as my main video playback app and I'm getting a lot of slowdown and freezing. Could any recommend a method to fix this or a different player app that could alleviate this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I don't really know what's wrong... RR3 doesn't even run in 1080p unless you do the rotation trick I mentioned in the gaming thread. Blitz Brigade also crashes on me.
I believe there are some optimization issues but it's strange cuz FIFA 14 and Fast and Furious 6 seem to run fine.

Me too! I'm currently playing GTA:Vice City on my Butterfly S and it lags a lot! My girlfriend's older Galaxy Note 2 seems to be able to play it quite well. So I'm thinking there is something inside which do not support heavy graphic games well.
None the less, I do love my Butterfly S and never regretted switching to this from my iPhone 4S.
lagging sucks

Mine kinda lags too, i thought only my phone had this problem but i can see many others are having the same problem too. It should be the app itself then. Scrolling, web browsing has no problem. Mine lags in real racing 3, despicable me, n even on camera 360 app. I hope htc fixes all the problem soon.
hi when i try to start a race on asphalt 8 on slimbean or beanstalk it keeps crashing. im not sure if im the only one having this problem as i wasnt able to find a solution online but if you have a solution for this problem i would greatly appreciate it if you can share it

I've got the same problem, but only in multiplayer. Single player/career works fine
Sent from my Xperia Z1 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
ohhhhh, thats a shame, i was just thinking of trying one of them, but 60% of my battery goes to asphalt 8 daily and without the multiplayer getting cash is very slow in single player...
that X2 gains helps a hell lot!
just found out if you turn the graphics to medium its works perfect. hope Gameloft releases an update to fix this so we can use the adreno 330 at its best since previous versions work with high graphics no problem i even tried the mod version.
