Can you *#4636#*#* and go under phone information and see the set preferred network type is changed? Im REALLY hoping google doesnt block out the LTE in the kernel and the settings.
<-- lives in canada and uses the full LTE service.

Seems this could be right. Another 4.2.2 update was spotted in brasil:
http://www.androidauthority.com/android-4-2-2-nexus-4-brazil-146670/
greetz
well lets see how this plays out..
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Braz...d:+phonearena/ySoL+(Phone+Arena+-+Latest+News)
After a quick glance at the articles, it's a mistake as it's not a release build.
Was gonna post about this too, i figured there should be a 4.2.2 update eventually as there are some little bugs still present in 4.2.1.
That .44 baseband though might be worth a test

Why only 8gb? Do they get the update before the 16gb model does?
I thought it was a hoax but its starting to look like its true, maybe its a battery fix for the mediocre battery life of the nexus 4? one can only hope :crying:

On the last pic, the last "2" is photo shopped in very badly. It's not even aligned with the other digits ffs..
Mourn not however, 4.2.2 is imminent!
It's most probably a fake Google puts out the factory image at the same time as the ota. No factory image is out.
Sent using xda premium.
They obviously didn't think the build date of the kernel was important either...

Nobody said it was OTA and like how the US reviewers received a build of 4.2 before it was released (beta in that sense) this could be beta as well. The USA reviewers reecived an OTA update the Sunday before it launched to the full final 4.2.
The phone just came out in Brazil and Malaysia so they could be getting the most up to date build to review just like Google/LG did in the USA.

Not that I am disagreeing with this possibly being a fake, but the 2 is inline perfectly. I just check with Photoshop. (Though, it isn't hard to fake these things.)

My first thought to that is why bother fake it in photoshop when you can just simply edit a text file (build.prop) and change it to 4.2.7 if you wanna? That way you can make android 5.0 and it would look perfectly aligned and you cuold even make a video of it since it's pulling that information from the text file.
Once in build.prop you can edit the following things:
-edit Android Version by locating ro.build.version.release= and changing the current Build Version.
- Edit your Model # by locating ro.product.model= and changing your model #
- change your product brand by locating ro.product.brand=

It's not that hard to do.

I completely agree. I just opened Photoshop to zoom in and check the lineage of the numbers. Photoshop wouldn't be my method of trying to fake something like this, I was just testing what the user above had said about the numbers being out of line, etc.

This would indicate that the 5.0 version is going to be MAJOR and will fragment the OS once again as it will render a good amount of current users unable to upgrade to due to having incompatible hardware. Which isn't a new tactic. iOS7 won't work on some older Apple devices just like Windows 8 is also incompatible with older machines, forcing many users to physically upgrade. This is why I believe 4.4 is a bait and switch, it's killing time until 5.0 because it could possibly put them in the firing line again as it could turn out that 5.0 is so different and new, only a small sliver of current gen devices will be powerful enough to upgrade. Thus giving Google reason to try and get as many users as possible onto 4.x so that when the change does happen they are catering for only 2 majority OS markets, not more. Remember 2.X is still above 30%.

Me want kitkat
Me want kitkat
Honestly, I think it's time for me to get a new phone, I'm currently using jelly bean and after installing a couple of apps it becomes slow, all apps demand loads of RAM now.
The phone is fine without the apps, but who could live without installing a few apps anyway, so I think i might get a new one and after seeing how much RAM Kitkat would take then i'll decide if I'll upgrade my old one or not, and use it as a secondary phone with almost no apps installed.
i want a key lime pie :silly:
As they said, older phones will get support for android kitkat, Then nexus s should get one , So do we?
for me it was strange that same year we get 4.3 and now 5.0 so quickly. however looking forward to it, have high hopes that it will work on galaxy s

Makes sense... with JB we had 4.1, then 4.1.1 shortly thereafter, and finally 4.1.2. JB 4.2 did the same (4.2.2 was out around Feb., if I recall correctly), so yeah... 4.4.1 by around New Year (+/- 3 weeks) makes sense. :good:
but the most important i could not find.. does anyone knows what bugs will be fixed?
or is that all for now?? Just an announcement?

We don't know. And this is just rumors/speculation. Google hasn't officially announced anything as of now. Hopefully Google finally addresses the DOS exploit, removes the gallery app (since there is now 2 apps), and removes the remaining holo blue elements.

Looks like some Camera fixes are indeed coming in 4.4.1 but maybe only for the N5. http://www.theverge.com/2013/12/5/5175568/fixing-the-nexus-5-android-4-4-1-improves-camera

Hi.
my nexus4 now having at ota-update.
Update: Google has announced via Google+ that the update is rolling out today, and that in addition to speeding up focusing, it will add faster white balancing, less shutter lag, and the ability to pinch-zoom the viewfinder in HDR+ mode. The company also shared a handful of photos showing the difference between normal mode and HDR+ following the update.

its easy to spot the bs, 6.5 will hit before 7.0 in sense versions.
Agreed. I honestly don't see that being Sense 7. And that font is highly unlikely.

Looks like it is not on region, we both live in the same region. Your phone has it, my phone doesn't. Imei is possible. When did you purchase your Mate 20?
Off-topic : how do you like the phone? (pm is fine too....)
I got 9.0.0.182 C605 versión

Many, I imagine. I use it for photographing textures.
does it improuve the gesture nav for real ? because it was lagging when I tested the multitask gesture in a store...
Still wondering if I should buy this phone ...

haha ok that's not very clear, but I'm a rookie with photography that's why I'm asking.
All I could find on the internet was indeed about making pictures of smaller /finer objects

I personally never had any lagging with the gestures, so maybe the store had a bad unit or still running on a lower firmware?
And I think it's a must buy especially if you have a cashback option also!! real good value for money!

Exactly the same thing on exactly the same model and region. Bought a bit more than 2 weeks ago.
Even if it's region related, we shouldn't expect to get it all at the same time. I suppose it might take at least a week or 2 for clients in the same country/region to get the OTA.

The update policy is a bit shady. Only thing we can do is wait and in the meantime enjoying our smartphone
