After V10b nvflash still getting V30A - LG Optimus 2x

Hello everyone! I'm having a problem with my p990,I had Topogigi ICS V30A with unlocked Bootloader,i flashed a cm10.1 rom(i did build it myself but the partitions were wrong) and I decided then to revert to V10b..so I put the phone in apx mode, connected to pc and nvflashed the original rom.
But here comes the problem: when I connect my phone to the pc,and go to LG update tool,it says V30A is installed and that it's not needed to update! Why?! I also tried with smartflash but it's the same!
Also: Now I reflashed Topogigi's V28,and then updated to Topogigi V30A with unlocked BL,If I try to flash any CM10/CM10.1 zip I get an error saying:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "p990" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "p990"
E: Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20121228-UNOFFICIAL-p990.zip (Status 7) Installation Aborted.
Any solution??
It was all working before!

You cannot update from LG probably because you have bb of 30a and the official updater reads it. If you want to update with LG tool, after nvflash of 10B, you must change bb with smartflash, using an earlier bb (for example 10B bb) .
Inviato dal mio LG-P990 con Tapatalk 2

Flashed V10B Baseband, now booting stock rom,i'll re-upgrade to topogigi's ICS with CWM and i'll let you know if it all works again as it should, thanks for the moment

Nothing is resolved,it still wont flash roms...

I tried modifying the values in build.prop,by replacing the voices listed here by me with p990,booted CWM and managed to flash the rom,but then when rebooting the phone it hangs on LG logo or restarts on CWM...

There is no error message it just show ! in triangle
You have to wait for 6-7 minutes to complete the process. Be sure liquid is fully charged and debug usb is activated.
Keep in mind you cannot update liquid with liquid e roms.

Thanks for you reply, I just want to add that I am trying to upgrade it through application being on SD card and by pressing camara button + down vol then power button, My Acer had Liquid Galaxy 2.1 , kernel Version 2.6.29-phh
You can't install in recovery mode cause it's not a zip file, it's a bin file. You need acer download tool, then youhave to put the recovery back gain.

delete the update.zip file or remove it from your SD Card and run the Acer DownloadTool again. AcerTool flashes a .bin file if you are using it correctly.
Just upgraded my Liquid E to 2.2. I followed the instructions in the PDF and it worked fine. I would try copying the files to the SD card again.
I'm totally lost on this. I have 2.1 stock with Malez recovery installed on it. No matter what I do, I just cannot get it to work?
Is there a step by step instruction on how to "flash" a bin file and then upgrade it for Fido phone? I have Acer Liquid E Fido. I have been working on it for 2 days now and cannot get it to work.
edit: finally got it to work by installing another (10 different) version first and reinstalling a one that doesn't have the assert

Sorry, but you can not install the acer rom. Because you are not using original rogers eclair, or you've flashed Malez recovery.
There is a couple ways you could get around this.
1. There is a Modified rom based on the official acer release at Modaco.com. It doesn't make any assert checks.
2. If you have the original rogers eclair kickin around you could flash it onto your device. You might need to flash a 2.1 eclair bin(leak) first depending on what you're running now. Once this is done you'll be able to use the acer official, and pass all assert checks.
Spice MI 300 :- Want to update from 2.1 to 2.2
Hi every one
i have a spice android phone MI-300 and want to update the 2.1 version to 2.2 manually could anyone of you guide me how to do it on my own as I dont think the company is upcoming with and 2.2 upgrade.
Please help
Abhishek
The simplest way of doing it would be flashing the latest malez recovery. Then using acer download and flashing the proper generic 1.0 rom. After then you should have went to acer website and downloaded a european (generic 2.2 rom) followed directions and did the proper upgrade. You can also apply the patch after (under patches tab)
Worked like a charm for me back in the day.

Already did the first per my post; tried twrp and get same exit code 1 (I think it means model mismatch but it is an LG Optimus Black)
I've already re-downloaded the rom files many times.................
One thing.
Why cm7 when cm10 is more stable?

I already tried both the "cm7 stable" and the "cm10 nightly"
I had the same once. Tried other cmw versions like touch and non touch but that did not work for me.
What did work was flashing my phone with smart flash tool (sft). Installed the bin and fls files. This completely wipes your phone.
This option requires that you have a rom in bin + fls format.

How else did you unlock it?
I flashed an stock ics on it in APX mode, wich had the new BL.
As far as I know the newer miui roms are for new bootloader. You can do 3 things.
First thing.
You flash stock ics then flash unlocked bl. So the assert failed error will not happen because you have rom installed.
Second thing.
You change your partitont layout to ics with aio toolkit, then you flash a custom rom, which made for new pt layout, with cwm.
So the assert failed error would not happen because you have a rom installed.
Third thing
change pt layout to ics with aio toolkit. Then you open the miui rom zip file then edit the updater script by removing the line which responsible the device check. Save the file then flash it with cwm. So the updater script will not looking for the build.prop file on the system partition to check do you really have optimus 2x

Thanks for your answer, but I already solved it. It was a bit easier, than you told, beacuse, the third thing I didn't have to do.
But do you have an Idea how to get Whatsapp working, whereas hes saying me, that I got a tablet?

[Q] Rom manager message "Device not listed above"

I have installed official ICS, rooted it with NVFlash, changed baseband to V28G and now i've tried to install rom manager but it says that my device is unsupported and not listed above, what should i do?
I have a problem with that becouse when I want to install ROM, now i try paranoidandroid new-btl it says (during installation process) that rom is not for my device "assert failed:getprop (...) installation aborted". Once i found a solution for that ( i had to erase a line from a file) but when i install it i get black screen.

just push the "menu" icon on your phone and select the model, i had a problem like that, but know its fixed
Rommanager does not support ics, because the partition layout of the ics is different. You can force it to flash recovery but it got flashed to the wrong partition. So maybe you end up with a bootloop.
I recommend to use AIO toolkit to flash cwm

Choose 2 then select change by nvflash and do the instructions on the screen. Do not select cwm 5.0.2.8 because it is not compatible with the cm10 rooms

Can't flash bootloader

I have bought a new LG Optimus 2x and it's still on 2.3.4 GingerBread
Battery drain is terrifying,I'm talking 100% over in 3-4 hours with little or no use
It probably has locked OLD Bootloader and it's on v20
I am unable to install Recovery and unlock bootloader
First I tried Upgrade with LG Support Tool,it crashed
I tried installing CWM/TWRP,I tried Rooting it(with All-In-One Toolkit) and I tried repartition it with ICS bootloader-IT FAILED
I then tried NVFlash and SmartFlash-FAILED
The problem I constantly get is NVerror 0x0 and command failure:bootloader download failed
*EDIT*
I tried Update Recovery in LG Support Tool and after the 2nd time trying it worked
I am currenly running ICS with NEW Bootloader but with OLD Bootanimation
However I still can't install RECOVERY nor Bootloader
I have LG Drivers Installed and APX Drivers installed
P.S. With my old 2X everything worked just fine
Please Help and thanks for reading
