Can't press install button? - Motorola Atrix HD

When downloading apps through chrome after download I can't click install. Nothing happens. Not like the screen is a dead zone because the screen works there otherwise. Anybody have an idea?

Cut the rope installer not working

Has anyone else tried installing this game from GetJar?
http://bit.ly/jGI6uo
The above link prompts you to download the downloadhelper.apk which installs the GetJar app. When trying to open this though, the phone returns to the home screen briefly before going to a black screen and just hanging. Eventually I get a force close option pop-up but it's generally pointless.
I'm running MoDaCo Fr19 beta2 if it matters but anyone else tried it on this device?
Download helper? Screw that, I direct-downloaded cuttherope.apk from GetJar.

Had this problem a few times this morning, using Opera. After 2 or 3 downloads and clearing application data, the "GetJar" app on the phone launched the GetJar mobile site, and everything went ok.

Google Now

Has anyone tried flashing Google Now since we got root? I know we don't have a custom ROM but there's got to be a way right. I just tried a couple and the closest I got wouldn't even let me into Google Search after. Any thoughts or tips would be great!
Go Figure
Ok so every time I get frustrated enough to post something, it always manages to work itself out. I downloaded the remove google now zip and rebooted, then went to check google search and low and behold I had google now. So just so you know, if you didn't, it works, no special roms needed. Just a little time, trial and error
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224
I didn't flash since I don't have CWM, just extracted zip through es explorer and followed directions for manual install. Also tried Gnow handlebars, so I really couldn't tell you what worked.
I can confirm that the manual method works
Thanks for the link, Now has to be my favorite feature from jb
Did you get voice to work? Mine won't

Couldn't get it to work after a manual install for some reason. But gnow handlebars works.

Handlebars won't ever make it past 18% on any of them. Yours did?

Mine never made it past 21%, so I did the manual install, and it worked great! V7 Full
The manual method worked just fine for me. I didn't appear to work at first but then I rebooted and a prompt came up saying "Updating Android" (or something like that) and it worked. Definitely my favorite JB feature. As far as I'm concerned I now have Android Jelly Bean Sandwich! LOL
I had trouble with that also lol It won't extract it to the sd card right

I'd suggest turning the screen timeout to never and don't touch the phone while installing through handlebars then reboot after. Worked like a charm.

i installed Google Now via the manual method and it worked after i did a reboot
the only downside is that when I used Google Nav, the TTS voice does not read out street names anymore
I have Bell Atrix HD and it was a british guy's voice that was previously doing the TTS, but after this install it was a woman's voice
When I tried go to into the "Language & Input" of the phone settings, it would force close.
Fortunately I made a backup of all files on Titanium Backup right after I rooted my phone, so I installed and restored the GoogleTextToSpeech.apk and now my Nav works and I do not have any more FC's.
Google Now also works fine, so not sure why it needed a new TTS file.
SO make sure you guys do a backup!!!

[Q] Anyone know how to back out of screens without a back arrow?

I cant seem to find a way to back out of screens that don't have back arrow. Most apps/screens have a back arrow that I can ack out of of to return to where I was. However, not all screens have this and I don't know how to back out of them. On my Nook Tablet, I could swipe from right to left on the lower screen to back out of these windows but this gesture doesn't appear to work on my new Nook HD+.
One example is in File Explorer ES. When I load File Explorer, go to App Manager and then pull up a particular app, it's details screen comes up. From there, I have no idea how to back out of that screen. I can press the Home button and get back to Home and go to other apps but, if I try to go back to File Explorer, it's still stuck on that same screen, and I'm assuming it will be until I find some way to back out of it.
I've searched online and haven't had any luck finding any help with this one.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Once again, thank you very much leapinlar. I really appreciate your assistance. I will definitely check out this app. Hopefully this won't be one of the apps that sends the rooted Nook HD+ into the 8 reboot tailspin of death.

It doesn't. But if you ever have that problem and you have backed up your device with my cwm (you have, haven't you?), then you can temporarily turn off the device while it is bootlooping and insert the CWM card and let it boot to that. Then you can restore, fixing the problem. I did not say in my thread, but it is a good idea to periodically back up the device before you make major changes so you don't have redo a lot of stuff after you restore.
I think I will add this advice to my thread.

That would be a cool app if it worked properly. It hides the bar nicely, but does not let you bring it back without a reboot. At least on my rooted stock HD.

The same problem for me.
It seems trivial but not being able to exit nook apps such as "reader" is keeping me from using them. I currently use coolreader for that very reason. I acually think the default font and formatting is superior in the nook reader.

[Q] Chrome crashing, screen flickering

Hi there. I have HD+ with 4.4.4 installed. cyanogenmod version 11-20140916-nighlty ovation. Everything is ok except chrome randomly crashes for no reason. I also intermittently have weird screen flickering issues. I also cannot unlock the screen unless I close the magnetic cover and reopen. When I slide the unlock icon, the screen just goes black.
Any suggestions?

Don't know about chrome, but screen flickering is "normal" and happenes because of wallpaper (I think default one). As for magnetic cover, it's also normal and as i remember it was cm bug for quite some time.

Try other browser.
Is there any reason to use Chrome?
Many other browsers available in google store.
Test other browsers and choose stable one.

It happens with chrome and the default browser that comes with the OS. I usually use chrome as that is what is on my PC, and I use the sync feature.
Boot into recovery and wipe cache partition and now you will rock. If same issue occurs but you have to have chrome browser. Give a shot to chrome beta.

To boot into recovery follow these steps:
1. Goto about tablet>tap build number 5 times
2.Now your developer option is unlocked. Go to developer option>Check advanced boot
3.Now hold power botton>rebbot>Reboot into recovery.
now you will automatically boot into recovery.

I would suggest checking in the Google Play store for updates. What type of a magnetic cover? Sleep/wake, magnetic strap, or what? If it is an auto sleep wake, that may be it for the black screen. I don't personally have a Nook HD+, But I do have an HD. As far as I know the only difference between the two is the OS and screen size. I have problems with the magnetic case, the same turning on then turning off immediately. I took it out of the magnetic case, and it worked fine. (sort of but that's for me to deal with XD) So yeah. Hope this helps!!
