Lg optimus 4x - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hello guys, I've been looking at this phone for some time and I was just wondering is this the subcategory on xda for the lg optimus 4x hd p880. Also I'm wondering if this phone has multi-led notification. I heard from some people that this phone doesn't have a led notification light at all.

It does not but u can download from the app store an app LG TOUCH LED NOTIFICATION and that will work.

Oh interesting I thought it would, but anyways is there a setting where you can set it so that if you have a missed call the home button would only light up?

No, it's all buttons or no one.

yes. we dont have any led notification lights. and even LG Touch Led Notification helps, its not a dedicated one. a bit let down. but i still love this monster. we just need unlocked bootloader, or at least regular updates from LG

Capacitive (back and home) buttons not working

Sometimes my back and home buttons stop working. The rest if the screen still works and if I lock and then unlock the screen they work again. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm running Android Revolution HD Rom.

Yes, I also have this...it is not just because they are hard to hit, sometimes they are impossible to hit. Starting to bug me now.

Are you on a custom or stock rom?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Same here. I'm on Stock Rom.
I'm struggling with them here a bit as well - the back one is worse, the cover doesn't help, but not the cause.
AW: Capacitive (back and home) buttons not working
I think the area for the buttons is too small. You have to Hit it exactly

I'm on stock. I agree they are small but sometimes I attempt to press the back button 20 times before I give up and press home :'(

I'm getting this too and it's pretty annoying. normally one button will work but the other needs to wait around 10 seconds. Any updates on this?

So do I. I think I've found a quick fix which is working for me: tap the screen anywhere once and try the button again.

Yeah I have this issue without a screen protector. It's annoying, but hopefully it's just some simple fault that can be fixed by htc via an update.
Simple fix for me: lock and unlock phone.

I cut off the bottom portion of the screen protector and it's working a lot better

Strange that after 2 days with the phone(rooted and with screen protection) the buttons are working better and better, after a laggy start
Or maybe i'm getting used to it...
But i think there is a software update to this....it's not a hardware issue

Button Lights Always On

Does anybody know how to turn off the button lights? They're on even when the phone's switched off.
They're quite dim, I thought they were glow-in-the-dark till I removed the battery and they turned off.

They are visible even when the screen is off? Go to settings under power economy or somerting like that (im on CM currently and i dont remembet exactly, its above the applications button) you can set the backlight off from there.
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
I've set them to off and they're still on when the phone is switched off.
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Faultry unit maybe?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Dunno. They're only visible when it's dark, that's why I thought they could be glow-in-the-dark.

Samsung Keyboard on HTC One?

Is it somehow possible to use the stock Sammy s3/s4 Keyboard on the HTC One? If its possible - with or without root? The only thing i miss from Samsung
Gesendet von meinem HTC One mit Tapatalk 4
Go to play store and search A. I. Type keyboard free.
I think its the closest to s4 keyboard as it gets.
It has perfect 4th row with numbers and space bar is aligned right.
Sorry, didnt want to be rude
The autocorrection on Samsung's Keyboard works way better then the One Sense has.. also i could Type a lot more acurate with it.
I tried swiftkey, Googles Keyboard (wich i loved on my s2) Swype, but all have some downside. For example the Bad Symbols Keyboard on swiftkey
For me Samsung's Keyboard was perfect!

I would think only Sony controllers are compatible out of the box, but check out this app:-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.catalyst06.gamepadmappingime
It would seem to allow USB controllers to work with any game, root is required.
Hope this helps
