Hi guys!
As the title says, the lower left part of the screen where the number part of the keyboard is not responsive (I used 3 different keyboard, LG default ICS kb, Perfect Kb, Smart Kb Pro, and uses T9 mode; running stock ICS; rooted). I just can't press it. Even the phone button, the one in the launcher isn't responsive to the touch.
Any ideas? Hope isn't a hardware problem..
Hello..
This doesn't sound good indeed..
You could try in TWRP recovery or an other touch recovery, and I think you'll be sure
Try to leave your phone off (maybe with battery out) and see what it gives .. :/
But sorry I can't think of a software bug :x the all screen works well or not, not just a corner can't work properly..
Or try a clean flash of a rom.
Hope this will solve your problem
I have a broken digitizer on mine and my screen only works on the bottom half. Here's how I found out that it's a hardware issue not the software.
Go to settings - Developer options.
Under Input, check "Show touches" and "Pointer location"
Touch and swipe at all locations on a blank screen. You'll see a pair of blue lines making a cross follow your finger. If it doesn't, then there is something wrong with your digitizer.
EDIT: Added screenshots to show you what I mean.
Oh interesting, I wouldn't think that a partial working screen would be possible ^^

I have some strange "waves" on the screen when I write text with keyboard or scroll with my finger. These "waves" look like the ones we had on old TFT screen with "soft screen" before the "touch mode". It's really visible on with screen like explorer or Google page with Opera.
Do someone else have noticed this ? Is it a pb with my screen ? If yes it would be my third diamond...(one with a battery panel that does not fit and one with a dead pixel at the openning of the box...
Anyone can testify ???
Moved to true sector
Edit : Thanks for the redirection, sorry for the mistake...and my english...;-)
little Up
And new calling for comment...
thanks
I'm HTC Touch diamond holder and i have one problem. When i swipe left across the screen to move to the next tab, and swipe right across the screen to move to the previous tab the movement is not 3D.The program that i was install was only Skype and IGO8.I see the problem after installation.I have make hard reset of the device but the problem exist. Is there some hidden settings or something to do to come back the 3D effect(like rotation) when i browse trough tabs. Now the tabs(HOME to example and PEOPLE)just appear off and on without this 3D effect. Please Help me.
Could you post a screenshot? I don't understand exactly what you mean. Someone else does probably..
Look at the presentation of touchflo in official site.
http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchdiamond/touchflo-3d.html
When you change the item from menu (e.g. Home screen to People screen), the change is 3D (home screen disappear with movement to the left and appear people screen from right....like circulating motion).I do not know how to explain how 3D menu works, but this is shown on the link that i post.In my case Home screen just disapear ....not to left.
Sory for my english.
The slide show for separate items in touchflo menu is 3D(not for me). I put one wallpaper and that was my mistake. But after hard reset the problem remains. My ROM version is 1.93.4****
"It's becouse of the TF3D version.
Try this one, it will be a little slower but you will have the 3d thing "
I have the old TF3D version, but the opload won't work...
But thats what you need!!
Tank you very much. I thing the problem was from me with the software or wallpaper i use it.
It might be your ROM version as well.....
because in the 1.93 ROM, they removed the lag between the tabs and so the 3D effect.....the solution listed above should help you and take away your problem, but than it's a little bit laggy....
if you can live with that..allright
good luck
Hello. I am using HTC One (international) with ViperOne 1.0.0. I have a scrolling problem when I am at the vertical quick settings (not the native one) where after I scroll all the way down to NFC, and lift my finger off, I could not scroll upwards, not even after I close the notification and open the vertical quick settings again. This means that the first option I could see is Airplane Mode and anything in front of that (i.e. Media Volume, Flashlight, and Rotation) cannot be accessed because I could not scroll upwards.
However the phone does detect the action of scrolling downwards even when I am already seeing the last item (NFC) because I see the "bar" that appears on the far right when I try to scroll downwards.
The current solution that I can find is to reset the status bar using Venom Tweaks so that when I am viewing the vertical quick settings, I come back to the top of the list (Media Volume).
The most intriguing part of the problem is that if I just keep scrolling up and down, I won't get stuck like what I have described in the first paragraph. Only when I scroll to the very bottom and lift my finger off the screen does the problem occur again.
Is there a bug in the rom or is this only my problem?
Thank you very much.
I don't have this prob.
But i have only some Vertical EQS, because i removed some of this
Maybe try to remove something

Oh maybe that's another "solution", but if there's really a problem like that then removing items means not having it solved.
Would you mind trying to add a few items back and see if you have the same problem, so that the developer would know and might fix it in the next version.
Anyway, I've taken your advice and I'm fine with fewer (but less used) options to avoid the problem for now.
Thank you very much!
Hi Guys,
The bottom of my screen (about 5mm) has become unresponsive to touch. In previous ROM's I've got around this by adding a navbar to the bottom of the screen which I don't use (as in the soft key buttons).
I've just installed a Sense 5 ROM (InsertCoin) and really like the feel of it, however I can't find any way to get the navbar at the bottom of the screen. Obviously as it's a sense rom, there is nothing in the settings, and I've tried putting qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 into the build.prop file but that has also not worked :/
Does anyone have a solution to this or a way to cut the bottom 5mm of the visible screen? Or even better, a way to get the bottom of the screen working?
Cheers,
Tom

That sounds like a hardware fault so you should contact HTC or your phone supplier

If you're running 4.18.401.2 then you're in the wrong section, this is the One section not the One X.
Go over there and do a search for return to stock, you should find all the info you need.
Hello,
I have latency on the keyboard while taping on both side of the screen, I "fix" it by resizing the keyboard without touching the sides, but is there another fix ? I even feel it on the haptic feedback... Did somebody else have this problem ?
I have the same problem. Something feels "off" while typing and clicking on the side keys, like a little lag.
Does it only happen with Gboard? Could you try with another keyboard so that we can rule out a touch screen issue?

SwiftKey feel the same
Same here. Even though it's subtle, I noticed it immediately when I started using my pixel 5. Hopefully it's not a hardware fault.
EDIT: I also found this Reddit thread about the same problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/jodjzb/is_anyone_elses_pixel_5_keyboard_lagging/
It doesn't seems to have something to do with the side swipe back feature, the lag is still there with the 3 buttons navigations. Could it be something like a "prevent accidental side touch" feature ?
