First we do not have 4.2, it is 4.1.2. Second what vibration? On keypress?
Settings>Sounds>System> there uncheck Haptic feedback.

I do not use stock launcher anymore. Look in settings of it. And you do not move icons all day long, it is not a big deal...
P.S. I just got back to stock TW launcher, I think that what you want can't be done. Or if somebody else know that...

Give Nova Launcher a try. You can get rid of the Google bar and almost every other thing you want to tweek.
thank you guys. Used Apex Launcher and now i've found my peace
I have always used GO Launcher of Nova, Apex and many others. I dig the Stock Launcher. I agree though, why have the bar there when all you have to do is say, ok Google, and it does waht you need. bar there or not. Hell I would be ok if it were just on one screen but, its on all of them
I'm using nova because I have the ability to use double tap to sleep, so never have to use power button unless I have or want to reboot

Lockscreen rotation?

Im i the only one with lockscreen auto rotation is really annoying. I want to disable the lockscreen rotation without disabling autorotation. This is the first galaxy i have that does did. S8 and s8+ never did this.
Im i missing a setting or any adb or hack i can do to only disable the lockscreen auto rotation?

Like i said before. My does it with touchwiz and nova. Factory reset and still does it.
Now with nova i can select auto rotate force potrait, force landscape or default. In all settings lockscree rotate. They only way it doesnt rotate is going into setting in touchwiz and force potrait. But this is what im trying to avoid since it wont rotate in any app
Proof pic below running touchwiz NOT NOVA

Like I said unless you have a special Note 8 your lockscreen does not rotate in Stock. I don't think you're lying but I think there is an underlying issue as you have factory reset and it still does it. Have you messed with anything besides the dpi in Developer Options

There must be a glitch. It's odd to have come through still after a factory reset. I was just trying on my phone and it will not rotate the lockscreen regardless of me setting it to landscape. What variant do you have?

Happens to me too, nova would not effect this it's just a launcher i.e has nothing to do with the lockscreen.
Unrooted / stock
I have changed dpi though too I prefer a smaller font
Maybe it's the DPI doing it

I just figured it out bro it's because of the DPI change
I just changed back to stock (411) and rebooted and now it doesn't rotate
Temp fix:
You can change it back to 411 reboot and then change it back to your usual / that will stop the rotate but it will come back if you reboot again

Home Screen Icons

Tried to find a solution for this irritating thing
Evertime I install an app an icon is added onto my home screen.
Can't find the on off switch in the home settings or the display.
Is it somewhere blooming obvious? ☺
It used to be an option in the playstore but it's not longer there, unless you use a new launcher it will always happen.

What model do you have? I wonder if it's restricted based on model/region.

If you have another launcher installed & have it set as default, perhaps you can't access the stock home screen settings.
If that's not the case, maybe try using Nova Launcher & use the shortcut/activities option & see if you can access the settings for that.
