Which rom? If you're using cm roms & you're talking about navigation bar, read my faq here to see how to disable it.

[Q] Status Bar- cm9

I've searched but wasn't able to find anything. I'd like to move the status bar to the top, but I can't find the setting to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can increase the density to make that happen. it worked for me when i changed to 240

When you changed it to the top, how did it affect the app drawer button?

Thanks for the thought, but it didn't work for me. It bunched the icons close together and the status bar went away.
It's an Alpha, so I'm sure an update will be out soon (I hope... ).
is there any way to hide the "honeycomb" status bar? I'd like to hide it when i read PDFs or playing games.

Supposedly, it's not possible to completely hide it, or so says the author of the Honeybar app.
*** Important note for ICS users: Honeybar is unsupported on ICS and will not hide the UI bar. I have examined the source for ActivityManagerService and it currently appears impossible to stop com.android.systemui

What a shame, using splashtop on my touchpad has become much more difficult due to the taskbar.
its there because that's where the menu and home and whatnot buttons are

Thanks, that's good information, but it just turns the status bar off. I want to move it to the top of the screen.
Sorry, I was replaying to Carbon007 post:

BTW, that tool, HoneyBar, doesnt work with ICS, you need to have a "special" service.jar file to be able to shutdown the SystemUI service "forever"
This ever get added as an option?

I think, from my understanding, the OP (and I) wanted to know how to move the status bar to the top of the tablet instead of having it on the bottom... not just hiding it.
Thanks though!

First we do not have 4.2, it is 4.1.2. Second what vibration? On keypress?
Settings>Sounds>System> there uncheck Haptic feedback.

I do not use stock launcher anymore. Look in settings of it. And you do not move icons all day long, it is not a big deal...
P.S. I just got back to stock TW launcher, I think that what you want can't be done. Or if somebody else know that...

Nav Bar Disable!

I know some people are looking for this. I have been searching through a lot of posts and found some Apk's that didn't work or worked through the Samsung theme blaba. I found one that works without too much trouble, install and reboot! Sometimes it will ask to be Uninstalled when you delete a app. Just click cancel, sorry for original maker but I cannot find the post where I found the Apk.
Make sure to have an alternate way of navigating before installing!

I love the concept but long home press stops working, and alternatives to the nav bar dont work in secure mode.
Does any one know of a working navbar height reducer?
I have tried a few apk's that were working on S8+ but they have no effect on Note 8.
Thanks in advance

What I'd prefer is the ability to see my nav icons only across the entire system, across all apps, but make the background of the nav bar transparent. Using no themes. Stock. Does that make sense? Things are transparent whilst I'm on the home screen, naturally. So that's not an issue. But across all apps? That's what I'd LOVE to have.

Are you using the one in the link in the OP? I am but it seems like its touch sensitivity is off. I find myself dang here mashing the buttons just to get it to work.

I believe both of those are the same because I am having the same issue. I think the problem is my fingers are too fat to properly hit those smaller icons. :silly:
Probably.
Have you tried reducing the DPI in developer options?
This also has the effect of reducing nav bar size.

That was a long time ago. I currently have it set up as follows.
You can see the height of the nav bar in one of the screen shots.

This was supposed to be fixed like 10 months ago. There was a bug in the first release rom that would prevent notifications. It was fixed. Which rom and version are you on?

Go settings >> permission management >> power-on speedup then add apps
Make sure to keep allowed notifications on their apps and keep battery saver off, finally reboot the phone, hope it works for you
