Searched but didn't find anything really relevant in 8 pages. Flashed CM7.0.3 & DarkTremor A2SD. In MarketPlace under Myapps section I only see purchased apps and not free apps previously downloaded. I ran market doctor from titanium backup and it says found no recoverable market links. On the MarketPlace website, under My Library, I can see all of my free apps and they say installed.
I ran a test and downloaded a free app on phone's marketplace, showed up in my apps section of marketplace on phone, rebooted for testing purposes, and the free app is still present there, although it is labeled as "free" and not as "installed" like on froyo.
I don't remember any of my apps recently being updated on phone, looked at titanium backup as an example and older version installed compared to what is available on marketplace.
Am I going to have to bite the bullet and reinstall every single app from hand through marketplace on phone in order to restore listing under myapps and get updates/update notifications?
Doesn't sound right. When you restored with titanium backup the apps went back to your phone but not the market links this is it? If yes then why don't you just do force attach to market or try and see if you can redo the install trough TB and get all the market links. And this is probably a stupid question but are the market links backed up in titanium?
hi there....i did not found anything about...so i want to ask:
does anyone know how to disconnect apps from market. i do not want a launcher update or a gmaps update...because of free memory problems.
want to keep gmaps 4.7 on the milestone....every version above sucks....
so if i could disconnect it...autoupdates an notifications could keeps its function
bye
greets from germany
great question, i would like to know the same thing too, I do not want to install the newest facebook updates, but the market keeps showing me updates available.
it´s more an annoyance than a problem, really - but if there IS a way to "fix" it, then I would like to know
If your device is rooted, use root explorer to pull the app's apk file from data/apps to a folder somewhere on your sd card. Then, uninstall the app, and sideload the apps you pulled out earlier. It will not have a connection to the market this way.

in other words: make a copy of apk, uninstall, mv backuped apk to old place?
unfortunately, that does not work. at least it does not ALWAYS work.
because that is exactly what I already did - I hated the new Facebook app, so I downloaded the old version 1.5.2 APK from our german Android forums, and sideloaded it - but it still shows up in the Market with the red "update" text beside it.
just found something, that seems to work.
go to market, cklick update, abort download, --> disconnect
worked for me 2 times now. but i use froyo with old market...do not know if it works for the new ones.
Not move backup back into data/app, but install the apk from SD.

Titanium Backup can detach and reattach apps from the market. Do a long press on the app to get the menu with that option.
*UPDATE* Hulu Plus is now officially supports on the Bionic, this method is no longer required but keep in mind this method works for multiple unsupported android devices.
So if you want Hulu Plus just go to the market ;-)

Directions:
1. You Need Root
2. Get Titanium Backup if you don't already have it. Run it and aprove the superuser permission request.
3. Download this file http://goo.gl/MG2xh
4. Extract Zip and a folder labeled Titanium Backup with 3 files inside should appear.
5. Place those 3 files in the sdcard/TitaniumBackup folder (Keep in mind that Droid Bionic mounts its internal storage as /sdcard/ so you need to move those files into the internal and not your sd card)
7. Launch Titanium Backup, Backup/Restore, scroll all the way down and you'll see huluplus.
8. Restore app with data and enjoy HuluPlus!!!
UPDATE:
I forgot to add that you cant have Adfree installed on the phone, or any other modified hostfile program
I'm getting a message that my device is not supported with this app.
Is anyone else getting this or is there something I've broken in my device (damn near bricked it first day).
SCRATCH THAT; rebooted and all is working. Much thanks to the OP.
It works for me as well, thanks a lot dude!
Worked after a little while. Titanium backup was being stubborn for some reason. Thanks a lot!

I was having the same issues with TB finding the backup, had to uninstall Hulu+ and all my backups, then copy in the files and reboot before it loaded lol
On the good news, yes it is WAY worth it dept., this works over HDMI out!!!
i was able to successfully unzip, restore and run HuluPlus following the instructions provided.
But it needs a user/pass to access most options -- is this what others are getting too?
Yeah it's normal. The Hulu Plus app is only meant for paying members to my knowledge. The video is very high quality compared to what I get on Netflix most of the time.
I can't seem to get it to work. It launches, I can sign in, but when I click on anything to play I hear the audio but get no video.
Any ideas?

Hmm that's weird. Have you tried uninstalling and starting over? The only time I don't get any video on my phone in Hulu is when I'm doing mirror mode via HDMI to my TV.

Are you using Adfree or a similar ad blocking tool? If you are blocking ads, hulu won't work correctly.

Download link is working -- just right click on link and choose "save target as".
Got it to come up, do we need to log in with a name and password.

Works great BUT without a password ans username its doesn't give you much to do.
Thanks for all everyone does on this site. It really helps me and alot of others as well
Working perfectly for me. Thanks!
I keep getting "Device not supported"... am I doing something wrong? I rebooted and still get this error message.
Bionic is now officially supported by Hulu Plus, no hacking required.
I downloaded the application from the market to my Bionic and every time i try to play a video, the advertisement plays fully but when the actual show or movie starts, it force crashes 2 seconds in, every time. Anyone else?

Samsung Captivate SGH-I897
Rooted with Odin
Android Version 2.3.7
Flashed Cyanogen 7.1.0
Kernel Version 2.6.35.12
gapps 2011 0828
After flashing ROM and installing google apps, I get "Server error, Retry" message when trying to connect to Android Market. Doesn't matter if I try connecting using 3g or wifi. When I connect to the Market using my computer, I see all my apps listed as "installed". When I choose to install a new app from the Market using my computer, it shows that it's being sent to my phone, but my phone never gets it. Anybody know what's going on?
Nothing Google is working. Typing a search in the google search box forces web browser to close. Reset phone and entered info for google account, but I get the same error message.
Try this:
Go to Settings>Application>Manage Apps>All
Then scroll down and look for the Market app. Press the app, force stop, then clear data. Do a normal reboot just to make sure. Then see if that fixed it.

Yeah, tried that a couple times. Did it again, just for fun, with same result. Am I using the wrong google apps pack? I'll try a couple different ones. Really want google to recognize my phone again. Currently, no syncing of gmail, calendar, contacts, app updates, etc.
ok. Quick update. Found info on Cyanogen forum that recommended Re-flashing Cyanogen 7.1.0 and re-installing google apps pak. After I did this, my phone asked me to sign in to google accounts, and immediately started downloading all my Market apps. I was excited until, my status bar said "error downloading xxxx" for each and every app it tried to restore. After the 47th app, it finally stopped and gave the error message: "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
As it turns out, about 1/3 of my apps were restored properly. Not sure what to do about the rest.
Ah I'm sorry about that. I had the same problem before and all I did was clear data to fix it.
(For future reference, use titanium backup, downloadable from the market, to backup&restore your apps before flashing a new ROM. Make a copy of the Titanium Backup folder from your SD card and store it on your PC. That way, if you accidentally formatted your SD card, you'll always have a copy of the folder to restore your apps.)

Thanks. I did make a Titanium backup, but needed to install Titanium from the market in order to restore it. As it turns out, after rebooting the phone, the market app is working now, so I just decided to restore the apps I want manually. Currently, I am using my computer to look at my library of apps on the market, and clicking install to restore only the ones I really want. It's nice to see that all the ATT bloatware is available if needed, but it's not being forced on me.
Glad things worked out for you, eventually. Yes, that's a nice feature from AT&T. I don't like their apps it just takes up space. But if I need to sell my phone as stock its nice to have the AT&T apps back

I installed FPSE, and then uninstalled it after having problems, but now I cannot install either the version I downloaded, or the version from the store. Both tell me I have insufficient storage space available, even though I have well over a gig free.
Also I am able to install other things.
Any ideas?
I am using Gingerbread 2.3.6, rooted..
Just redid the procedure with Odin to root, just in case that might clear something, but no...

Use some Root Browser to check your system folder to see if you have available storage space. Sometime the old files are not deleted and they fill up the storage space. If this is the case you need to format the system folder before you can install anything.
I had the same problem too, after I uninstalled N.O.V.A. 3 and can't install it back. But other apps has no problem of installing.
SD maid from Playstore might help here^_^.
Contrary to the name, it clears cache and left over data and logs from the phone internal and external memory.

If you have another Android device, you can force the app back on your phone.
1) Install app on other device
2) Make Titanium Backup of app on other device and send it to your phone
3) Open Titanium Backup on phone and go into preferences; change restore location to external storage
4) Restore app backup from other device
5) After restoring app, go into Settings -> Applications and move the app from SD to phone
6) Now app is installed on phone just as if you installed it normally and you can change your Titanium Backup restore location back to default

Try to clear cache and data from the store.
Easy, uninstall the app first, then go /data, search the app name, like "titanium" or the package name, sth like com.xxxxxx.xxx, should have that name.odex or any other, delete it, but make sure its correct name of coz, after u deleted the file in /data, u can install it again
But yea, like the above user say, it usually appear in crack app, if so, do the purchase mate

You must have some leftover file for previous installation, serch and delete of that will allow to install again.
I had this problem the other day trying to install apps with titanium backup and the play store, both were getting this error. I fixed it the same way by going into the data/app folder and deleteing the .odex files in there. I had two in my folder, one was 'com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex' and i cant remember what the other one was. I think when an app is uninstalled or modified, it sometimes leaves a .odex residue file which causes the error.
Here is a simple SOLUTION :-
Install lucky patcher now press the menu key
Choose troubleshooting now click on removes fixes and backup now u can install the application
