[REQUEST] I'm looking for a specific icon - Android Themes

Hi guys,
I've been searching the web for a long and I didn't find what I was looking for. I search an icon very minimalistic which represent a bubble from a comic. I would like the psd of it and I want a free icon. I'm a very newbie on Photoshop so I didn't achieve to design an icon I like.
Here are exemple of icon I want (but not free)

http://dribbble.com/shots/119218-Picons-me-Launched- (the first one)
So if you can find icon like that which is free (don't want to spend 30$ for just one icon) it would be great.
Thanks!
Keru

Bumb, nobody ?

I'm pretty sure Pfaff has some of those, .PSD is in his thread also has Photoshop tutorials.

Thanks for your answer but I didn't find what I was looking for. I want a very simple and minimalisitc icon and Pfaff has only complicated and colorful one.
I also checked the .psd of his base set but the icon for sms doesn't match with icon I want.
Anyone else ?
Thanks

That's not exactly that but if I don't find something else, I will take that.

Hard time finding good icons

I've searched the 'net, I've looked at every crappy icon pack in the market, and I absolutely cannot find an icon pack that I am satisfied with.
Basically what I'm looking for are solid (non-transparent) versions of the LauncherPro icons, or icons that are identical (one solid color with no transparency or shadowing) so that I can edit them to my liking.
I've got decent photoshopping skills, but I've tried goofing around with the LauncherPro icons to no avail, I can't get them looking quite right.
Recommendations would be MUCH appreciated!
I assume you mean the application icons, in the applications list? Are you able to provide a screenshot of one you tried to edit (before or after)?

Sorry, I lost track and didn't subscribe. I'm just talking about the stock Launcher Pro Dock icons, sort of.

See the ones at the bottom? Like that, basically.
I See What You Mean.
Someone should release a vector version of those icons. :/
Wrong post. I'm dumb.
I know what you mean. I always find great icons, but they don't look right in the dock. They're made too small and look bad.
Here you go: http://www.iconfinder.com/browse
There are currently 760 full icon sets in there as I type this, all free, some for even commercial use, which allow you to download in .png or .ico format. You can even search for individual replacements for icons as well.
Happy hunting!

Look for nice set of text icons.

So I am trying to find a nice, complete set of text icons for my phone.
I have checked out Birdmans, Kovicons, and the one from Ultralinx.
I like them all, but the first two have things missing from them that I need but arent in any of there sets.
The Ultralinx one is the one I really like, but I don't want to make a paypal account just to purchase this (I don't use Paypal.)
So I am wondering if anyone else out there knew of any very nice, sharp, clean looking icon packs out there that I could check out?
Thank you,
Whiteice

[Q] Looking for a specific type of Icon

I've searched several times and scrolled back thru dozens of pages of icons and I'm having a really hard time finding what I'm looking for, so I hope someone may have an idea and can link me to it!
I love the muted, "squared-off" look of the XDA icons in the top right corner... where it says "Twitter, Facebook, Rules, News"...
Are these part of an icon pack that is available anywhere? Or does anyone know of something similar to this? Everything I'm seeing is very flashy and shiny (and NICE!), but just not quite what I'm looking for...
Thanks!
so you want those twitter, facebook, ... icons?
just "right click" it and save the image file.
Well, I was wondering if they are a part of a larger group of icons/icon pack. I typically use more than 3 or 4 icons on my phone.
www.DeviantART.com - Search "iPhone" and you'll find somewhat similar icon packs.

[Q] Question: Icon Replacement Guide

Question Icon Replacement Guide
posted this in q&a- but had no response
Hi guys Im looking for guidance, I know it's possible to break open an apk file, find the .png being used for the icon and replace it with another .png. Can someone please guide me on how to do this, where to look , what to do, framework ect, I ve used the search button - but havn't found a definitive guide - looking at changing dock icons, txt, home ect and app icons. Ive found Android Asset Studio, which can be used to reform the icons for android - but unsure on the whole process.
Can someone shove me towards a definitive, easy to follow guide or produce 1 or give me a guide on at least 1 dock icon (software needed ect, ect)
Many thanks guys

Hi,
what's in your mind? Do you want a single APK that overwrite every .png files?
Do you wanna change the icon time by time?
I can't understand!!!
In any case, if u wanna get custom icons and replace them, u can use as WORGERM wrote, desktop visualizer.
A very easy app that allows you to insert custom widgets on homescreen (u can choose how big they have to do 1x1 2x1 3x1 etc) and the possibility to change the icon (choose it from your SD card) and the application to start when click on the icon.
To get the specific icons for replacement, i sugget you to use Photoshop.
I hope to help you with this post.
Bye
You can try this .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=927405
thanks for the responses guys, looking at individual apk, .png replacement and possible dock and probably apk icon pack edits

Looking for a particular kind of icon set...

Thus far, I've been unable to find this type of icon set, but maybe someone knows where I can find it (or at least something very close). Basically, I want icons that look like "glass". The closest I've been able to find are slightly transparent white icons that are surrounded by a glassy border. Here's a screenshot of the icons I'm currently using:
http://i.imgur.com/to1qi.png
What I'm looking for is something without a border, where the icon, itself, has a transparent, "glassy" look to it. Anyone know of any icon packs like this?
Closest thing I can think of is THAcrystal by THAphlash
Sent from my DHD
soon
I have a pack schedule for production that will look like what your looking for.. please be patient a bit... it will be worth it.
edit: was wrong
