[Q] Telstra GT I9305T Roms - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

I'm just wondering if there were any ROM's that supported the GT I9305T and where can find them. If at all possible, how do I install them as well.
Another thing would be that I've already rooted my ROM with Chain Fires Auto Root Method. Was there a proper CWM recovery anywhere as well?
Any help would be appreciated.

I put CWM Touch, latest build on mine and am running txr33's Ripper Rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943099
Found I had to reflash the kernel each time after a new flash build as it wouldn't connect to the radio for some reason.
Absolutely loving it though.

All i9305 ROMS will work on the i9305T =)

Which CWM Touch version? Where did you get it? Does i9305 recovery work with i9305t?

Yes, same once again =) it will work with the i9305T =)
EDIT; the only minor thing you may have to worry about is the modem, as some i9305 ones may not give you as good coverage/ data speeds... however all ROMS iv'e come across have no included a modem so i still have the stock modem that came with the phone which works best (Telstra AUS)

Thanks.
The Recovery worked and I'm going to back up my IMEI / NV Data before I try a custom ROM.
HTC Desire was a lot easier than this.

Just backed up everything and I'm going to try a Custom Rom when I find one I like.
I'm also wondering if we should make an INDEX Thread for all the I9305 - I9305T Devices for things like latest ROMS and How To's. It would make finding everything easier and we would be able to keep up to date.

[Q] How can i determine which ROM to use if GT is freezing at boot?

Hey all.
I´m kinda stuck here, did some research, but could not find a solution anywhere.
What happened: i left my tab run out of battery, and after i recharged it the tab wouldn´t finish booting. it was stuck on the Samsung logo, which i found out that is quite a common problem.
GT version: i have a brazilian, unbranded GT-P1000L (3g, wifi, tv (dig + analogic), etc).
I´ve tried to flash a few different rom´s, but it didn´t work. I´ve tried to follow K0sh´s guide but didn´t work for me.
Can someone help me on which ROM to use and the specific method should i use to flash it?
Thanks in advance!

but thanks anyway
even though i´m still stuck on the boot problem i could find the right file´s from HumberOS website
a huge thanks to him.
You could flash Boca rom as it now supports ALL the p1000 variants including L and N...
Humberos is the one you need to flash these variants first, You should be ok with any of the GSM roms that say for p1000L/N but I know Boca supports yours.
Not sure about any others though...
If all else fails, might be worth a try...

well, i guess this is my last resort before visiting a samsung authorized service store and let them find out wtf i did around my tablet... lol
shift!! i´d really like to fix it... i hate to say this, but in this sense apple´s iphone and ipad is much easier to handle.
anyways, thank you very much ultramag69, i´ll give boca´s rom a try.
Any South or Central American tabs need roms different from all other gsm tabs.
Humberos is our expierto aqui.

s5839i compatibility?

Helo I recently got a Galaxy ace, while I thought It would be the s5830 model I got the s5839i.
I know the roms seem to be compatible (even though there isn't much information about that), but I was wondering if the clockworkmod5830i zip file is too, so I can install roms without big worries (i'm posting this because if I tried it and bricked the phone... there wouldn't be any way to go back since there are no 5839i odin files out there or anything)
S5839i is S5830i.
S5839i or S5830i is not S5830!!

Hey mate,
I'm new to all this too and have recently bought a s5839i (2 weeks ago), I aslo bricked my phone after 2 days as I found information on the s5839i sparce and I didnt take the time to reseach up as I should have done.
Ive since found out that Odin v1.83 works with our devices and I reloaded with a stock polish rom from sammobile and everything was fine again I couldnt get the clockworkmod to fully work on the rom, you could install it but when I went into recovery mode after a reboot it would just go back to the android version rather that the ClockworkMod.
I then tried the Retribution_beta3.5 and it works fantastic, looks so much better than stock and I also now have the flash player working which was my aim from the get go. I am now able to run ClockworkMod v5.0.2.6 and back up my device.
The only thing that worries me now is in "about phone" my model number now shows up as GT-S5830i rather than GT-S5839i, sure it make no difference like.
Hope this helps you, Im just reading as many threads as I can now to find out more info, I want to get the sky go app to work.

Hello,
From this it follows that we can flashing our s5839i using s5830i rom?
I can't find polish clean (unbranded) rom for s5839i, because I have a lot of problems with my T-mobile rom. (S5839iBOLC5). And also I can't flash CWM recovery for it. Only root works fine.
I found S5839IXXLD2 and S5839IBULI1 but whether is there polish language?
How can I checked it?

[Q] Data problem with my Note

Hi everyone, am new here, i decided to register on XDA after scrounging and searching of solution to my problem. All of my finds were disappointing and vague. So i finally joined up after going thru an intimidating XDA signup vid (one of the reasons i didnt wanna join in the first place). So here's the prob..
My N7000 (international) is bad at picking up signal, which forces the phone to go for Edge instead of H/H+/3g. I live in a country where 3g is supported. I could connect to 3g as well as having better connections (using the same simcard, as well same location) with my friends S3 and Ace 2 but not my Note So i figured maybe that theres probably something wrong with its hardware (?)
One other thing, if i set my network mode to WCDMA, the phone will have NO signal AT ALL. With GSM only, theres weak/moderate signal, same goes to (Auto Mode), which am guessing it'll only choose GSM.
My phone is running Philz Kernel. BurtRom JB XXLSZ. And ive also tried XXLSO (problem still exist)
Should i try flashing AOSP roms..maybe, flashing diffrent radios help? :/ mehh..i really dont know anymore..
Sorry, if my question seems long. And i genuinely believe that i needed to post a new thread to get a solution from the pros! thnx in advance..
flash the stock rom again and keep the stock kernel.. if you want to root then let me know.. i'll give u flashable zip to root with the stock kernel...

Sorry, i forgot to mention that, even when i was on stock kernel and stock rom, the problem was already there, and i thought rooting and flashing might solve it but it didnt :/..

[Q] NOOB here :) Wi-Fi not functioning on custom ROMs

Hey there,
I have a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy SIII, international, GT-I9300, freshly rooted and using CWM-based recovery v5.5.0.4::CF - v1.5.
Today I've flashed 2 custom ROMs, by following some guides that I've found (cannot post yet links):
1. Android 4.3 via SuperNexus: URL hidden
and after the SuperNexus this one:
2. Android 4.3 via ParanoidAndroid 3.97 ROM: URL hidden
Managed to flash these two successfully, but with both of them I've faced the same problem during initial device setup: could not connect to my Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi signal was strange too: strong, then suddenly weak. Could not authenticate and connect. :crying:
So, fortunately, made a backup before these two ROM flashes, so I guess I'm back with my stock Samsung TouchWizzy ROM (Android 4.1.2). That I hate. I want something bloatware free, stock-android feel, something like my Nexus 7 tablet.
Can you suggest me a "Wi-Fi capable" Android 4.3 ROM or am I missing something? Maybe a Radio flash (have no idea what's that) but maybe that what I was missing? And if I do that somehow, is that reversible?
Thank you in advance for any help and suggestion! :good:
Best,
sz
**EDIT: Oops, maybe this is not the best place to post, because it's not Verizon, it's international, unlocked.** sorry, delete this thread

Some early 4.3 ROMs for the Verizon S3 had singer WiFi connection issues. They were fixed simply by rebooting.

Hey, everyone! This is my first post on XDA, though I'm a long time reader. These boards have been very helpful to me but there are still some questions that I haven't been able to find the answer for, with one of them being the topic of this thread.
So, I also own i9305N version of Samsung Galaxy S3 and since there are no custom ROMs made specifically for my version of the phone, I was wondering if flashing a ROM made for i9305 (say, PAC-ROM or Carbon ROM) would result in my phone malfunctioning or becoming completely unusable.
Thank you in advance for your help.
