Phone Doesnt Boot !

hey guys.
i have a big problem with my phone
i just wanted to change my ROM from LFD to 2.3 germany but it failed. and now i cant use it because when it's gonna boot, it restarts and restarts and restarts ...
help me please ( it holds on lg logo and restarts...

if recovery wasnt erased you can take the battery out, put it back in, turn on the phone and when the softkeys start to twinkle(be quick) press power+volDOWN to enter recovery from there flash a new rom, always before flashing remember to wipe data/cache and dalvik cache in recovery.
Try the new Echelon is great and LFD is gonna be updated next week.

Hmmm.... In my opinion its quite unlikely that the tutorial link i posted got no/bad results.
When Smartflash doesnt do the trick (asuming you did it right), well, thats bad
I got bootloops many times but i always saved my phone with the smartflash tool....

really? smartflash didnt work? and recovery? did you used the correct files... you must be doing something wrong. try again.

+ another question , now i installed germany rom 2.3.4 , if i wanna root it , which app should i use ?

Cwm injection, fduring setup. There is no tool which can do it yet...

Yes, I was on froyo... missed this part when replied.
But I think it could do the job, even if he is on 2.3, well, that's what google shows when I search for "rooting android 2.3".
Am I wrong?

If you have unbrick your ob with v10a, yes you can root with Gingerbreak 1.20.

No, you can NOT root any v20/2.3 software/gingerbread on optimus black with gingerbreak. It only works on froyo, even if it s called GINGERbreak...

Now let's be honest, this name is really confusing, right? Gingerbreak and only works with Froyo?
Maybe it's this way because by rooting your phone you'll be able to flash Gingerbread? hahaha.
Just sayin'.

Yeah you will have to downgrade first !

If m not getting it wrong you are referring to clockwork mod touch recovery by saying this - " clock mode touch ".
If yes ...then yeah we do have it here too. You can flash different kernels like Abyss, Franco which incorporate the touch recovery. Do a little research!!

You already have CWM Recovery if you are rooted. Press and hold Volume up + Home + Power and you'll reboot into Recovery.

How to update LG P970

Hello Guys,
I need help....
I try to update my LG P970 to ICS but he tell me that i had the last update, could anyone help me with this?
My carrier is 1&1 and the last update that the software is see attachement....

Download official ICS KDZ file from the net and extract it and flash it with SFT.If you don't understand my words, read How to for noobies and search the OB forum.Take your time.
And afaik the version for Portugal is out.So, download it.

Do not try to patch the v30b update with CWM. Also dont install CWM recovery after rooting the v30b.
Install it again.

Each device is having difference .kl files because they have/support different hardware buttons/keyboards
Don't mess up your device .kl files with our device.

Yeah, i got it... But i know what this file does, so don't be afraid... I got myself a navbar on my phone and now i want to use the menu button for opening the camera and taking pics... I already use the home button for power...

I'm trying to figure out too. Trying to make my camera shutter button to quick launch my camera in cm10.1 where this feature is lost from stock.
My device uses gpio-keys.kl, and some other .kl files under different scenario.
You can have my gpio-keys.kl if you want to explore.

In stock Sony ROM, the camera shutter button is able to quick launch camera from deep sleep.
But in cm10.1, this feature is lost, probably because the key is intercepted in interceptKeyBeforeQueueing method in android.policy.jar
I need help in smali programming for that lol.

It does nothing in sleep mode.
The key got intercepted before it tries to wake the device.

after flashing rom

to sdcard download suitable ROM,
then turn off phone - battery out > in
hold power and volume - button > come to recovery
install ROM from sdcard
you did soft brick, nothing to be scared of
