Is there a (native) way to turn the LED notification on, for missed calls, text messages -preferably WITHOUT third party apps on the Razr i? Call me silly (noob?), but I cannot find it..

I'm more concerned that your LED isn't already on for those things. Mine definitely is.
Here
Hi,
here it is!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.ledwidget
It's not third party but from Motorola Inc.
Enjoy!

I think he wants to extend the period of time of when the notification LED is blinking when a new SMS/ missed call is waiting. I read that it doesn't blink until you actually look at the SMS or look at the list of missing calls, but stops after a certain interval.
I hope this is clearer... don't have an answer though

I use this program too. Highly recommended.
Also "Handcent SMS" will allow custom LED notifications and also happens to be the BEST SMS handling app out there with tons of features (and free)
I bought "Tasker" yesterday.
There you might be able to create a script with a LED-Loop if notifications from App XY or all are received. Doesnt work at all this time, but its my fault.

i feel no restrictions in accupower since useing Tasker! If you leave the DisplayOffCheckSettings to 600 secs, i think there will be no problems. Try it out !
is there the possibility to change led color?
there's only red and green?
No chance
Maybe if the Device is rooted. We'll see soon
Hey guys I was wondering if there is an app that would the camera led strobe when a call comes through, or does it for certain contacts? Iknow it sounds a little strange but think it would be useful to have this type of notification for certain contacts when my phone is on silent.
It can be a fun application, i hope some body will answer.
There is)

It's really fun. Especially when u are on serious meeting and flashlight blinking for all room
My brother have a xperia mini pro and I saw when a incoming a call his led flashing random colours.
So, isn't there a app or a way to do that to x8?
You can also do that in x8. What is your rom?
In Setting > CMSetting > Interface > LED Notifications
You can configure it there.
But there isn't a option for incoming calls. I use stornmix
If that so then you must need a 3rd party app like this.
Anyway you always advice people to search, please do the same

None that I could find. I had to switch to 3rd party. Textra and Google Messenger aren't bad.
There's something called "HeadsOff" from the playstore. I'm using it and seems to be working.

He means an always on display like samsung, huawei, etc have. The answer is yes, but its the useless chinese one that only shows the time and constantly changes position on the screen so it distracts you into looking at it, thinking you have a notification, but you dont. It does not actually display notifications other than texts and calls.

Thanks again for the clarification.
Yes it's there. As far as 3rd party notifications. I'm not sure. I don't use it. But it does exist
