Hi..
small question that related to the kernel nAn 14 ,
i guess all u know that kernel have small error about wifi treating (Hotspot)
and its fixed @ v.nAn JB !!!
so. why no one can fix the issue with new fix or new version ?
i really need to use the wifi treating (Hotspot)
& Thanks in Advance =) ..
Peace .:fingers-crossed:
Which rom are you using???
Officially corp via W8 using ixperia
I have a similar problem on Alfs_v08a (Alfs_v09c is too big battery drainer IMO) - hotspot works normally and my wifi connection in phone is picked every minute. Can I fix it somehow?
EDIT: no matter which rom is used (now I'm on GDX_v30)

I am using samsung galaxy mini S5570... i am facing problems with wifi..is there any way to improve wifi performance on my device?
I was facing a problem with wifi in stock ROM that I can't open it more than 3 times and I had to reboot to open it another time but when I flashed CM7 RC5.5 this problem disappeared, so I can open and close wifi as I want!

well, please make ur problems much clear, because u said that ur facing problems. what problems? is the wifi won't connect ? or does ur wifi keeps disconnecting?
furthermore u said about improving the wifi performance. I have no idea is that even plausible, because if i'm not mistaken that one is on the hardware inside the phone.~
Update to 2.3.6
Hmm.. just updates ur phone to GB 2.3.6... everythink will be fine..
or use any updated custom roms
bad speeds

Please Help Me Out , Im Sure Some Guys Know About This Massive Bug In XXKQB Rom! Hoping For Quick Help Guys!

There are several wifi fixes available, they seem to be integrated in BroodRom e.g..
If nothing helps - go back to your previous ROM. XXKQB is not that good to be honest.
Thanks For Your Suggestion Mate . .But Isn't It Too Weird?!
My Notifier Is Still Green , Suddenly Wifi Is Only Remembered From "Connected! "
Yes, it's not like it should be. But unfortunately with various ROMs for our device, Samsung introduced different and strange Wifi bugs. But they only seem to affect a small amount of people, so it's hard to narrow it down.
I've the same problem...

Coudln't Able To Fix Even Tried Heart And Soul! . . So Re Flashed To XXKQ1 , Lets See What Happens Now . .
The fix is to reconfigure your router to have a lease value of a day. Not permanent lease as they come configured.
This is a pretty old problem from since last year. Check the forums mate.
also u can enable MAC filtering to allow access to internet and paste ur devices MAC id
Kamikaze And a6xxxx - -Guys Can U Explain The Process?! Or Refer Me Any Link?! It Will Be A Gr8 Help Mates!
Yeah, I have this problem on i9000 too... its kernel related... just reflash another kernel

It's probably not kernel related, because I lately flashed stock KQB with Stock kernel and I still had wifi dropouts. Now trying different ROMs but still no luck.
And why would it be router related? Previous firmware versions didn't have wifi dropouts with the same routers.

hello, i had the same problem once with CM7. Go on to settings-wifi and networks-wifi settings then press the options button on your phone then click advanced, then click wifi sleep policy and click NEVER.
IF that ^^ didn't work then go to recovery mode and do a factory wipe.
IF that ^^ didn't work then just install a different rom.
thank if it helped

don't know ... try some new answer's
Hello Community!
I've got a problem with my Galaxy Ace. I've installed the latest CM7 nightly (2012-10-14) and installed CronMod INT2EXT+ script.
In addition i've installed the newest Firekernel (2012-10-09) OC, official.
I've encountered a problem while using Bluetooth. With enabled Bluetooth the phone won't go into Deep Sleep mode. Is it a Kernel problem, or has it something to do with CM7?
Hoping to find a solution for my problem.
Cheers
Alex

Nope, no solution till now... I think i will try it with the stock kernel of CM7... Maybe it's because of the Firekernel...

I installed stocklite v7.1 and no deep sleep problem.
I'll try to find from were comes the problem in the following days.
I'll update you
Stock CM Kernel
I've just tried the stock CM7 Kernel, but also no Deep Sleep while Bluetooth is enabled.
The rom with wich i encoutered this problem is based on cm7.
Maybe we are not alone in this case but nobody else care about it.

Jep, i think so too.. I am not allowed (min. 10 posts) to post in the DEV section till now...
I've bought a SmartWatch, but without Bluetooth connection it's not that smart but i dont want to charge my Phone every day... And also Stock for the Ace is not really an option for me... I prefer CM7...

You should try Stocklite 7.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703094
It has a very good battery life
I added int2ext+ to extend internal memory to sdcard
adrenaline engine to speed up the phone
firekernel
and ICS MOD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926596
now my rom is pretty close to CM7

Okay, seems to be a nice combination of mods...
But Firekernel with a Stock ROM? Is everything working properly then (WiFi, Bluetooth)?

Like a charm
I tried many roms, for me its the best in terms of battery life/reactivity (i don't play games).
I had strange behaviour after installing one of those mods (on don't remember wich one) but after a restart everithing is ok.
In this configuration mi battery is at 60% after a day of work (about 12 hours), my average use is half an hour of call, bluetooth always on and connected during one hour, wifi and 3g always on.
I use Juice defender but never compared with and without
Nice, but when i tried the ROM yesterday i was not able to see my SmartWatch...
Neither with the ROMs Kernel, nor with the Firekernel... I tried only the ROM without any modification but also the same result!
I was able to connect to my Notebook and to other Phones but i was not able to see my Smartwatch.
Very strange behavior and i don't know why... My Notebook and other Phones could connect to the Watch... Now i switched back to CM7 and it's working again...

Yes, I tried it but it's not working for me either... Damn Deep Sleep problem...
I have installed GingerXperia custom ROM just a week ago. My Android version is 2.3.7 and kernel is 2.6.29.6-nAa-14. I have now CWM based Recovery. Wifi was worked for 2 weeks and now when I turn it on, it couldn't explore the new stations. So I can not connect to the internet.
What do you think, what should be the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help!
